NOTE: This is my first review, and I only intend to point out a few parts of the story that I found really interesting. That being said, **SPOILER ALERT**
What you might find people saying is that the show has a really predictable plot. But, by creating such a solid world being built, with such a solid heirarchy of power, not only does it question a potential future but it becomes an extremely interesting sci-fi show.
While on the subject of the future, halfway through the show I found myself wondering, "Is this show a dystopian fiction or a utopian fiction?" This really bothered me, especially as

we progressed into the second half of the show. I found myself conflicted about whether Makishima was actually in the right (strictly belief or lack thereof in the Sybil System, not his methods) or worng. In a world so directly contrary to our own, who am I supposed to believe? A related note to this was when I wondered what type of government was this. It was a dictatorship, wasn't it? But there are government officials. So is the justice system a facist system? And if so, wtf is the government doing?
I guess these are more interesting musings rather than a review, but oh well.
*Actual spoilers*
EP 11 really got me. Leading up to the episode, I had been presented with a very solid (sorry for using the word so much), justice based world. With this system, no one can escape the law. Any malicious intent, can be picked up on and stopped. Except at the end of EP 11, when Makishima looks up at the sky and grins a horrible sadistic grin, and I realised, here is a person who goes beyond the law, who can't be judged by the facist justice system, who, no matter what Sybil decides, has commit undeniable crimes.
Overall I gave this show a 9. Maybe it was too low, but it definitely wasn't too high. This show for me was extremely thought provoking, and it was extremely enjoyable.
