Frieren offers strong character development. Unlike most fantasy isekai anime, the series take place in a world where the demon king was killed. As an elf, she outlived most of her friends and she has grown accustomed to this. However, after the ten year journey with the Hero party, she regretted not knowing her friends more. The lives of the people she cared about is no longer that simple. For people who thinks this series is boring and unoriginal, it is okay to slow down the pace and observe her development. Even though she is thousand years old, she is only a child inside. The ... journey of growing up is slow and boring, but Frieren manages to make every single bit of development interesting. Those regrets and those unfulfilled promises, she is on her journey to complete them.

Really good anime. Highly recommend if you are interested in watching for character development. Without spoiling the show too much, these people they called "Revengers" are people who carry out assassinations for those who cannot do it themselves. Though the show starts off really slow and doesn't focus too much on the main character, the episodes so far really showed development for the group in a whole. The idea is to portray who they are and the reason behind their actions. Revenge is a strong word and is it really right to carry out these assassinations. Revengers is definitely an underrated anime this season and ... it is worth a watch.

tl;dr Part 1 can really be summed up with one word. "Damn"

Overall, Chainsaw man is a pretty good manga. The internal struggle inside Denji is easily shown throughout the whole series. The whole point of the door and Denji not thinking tightly relates to the amount of monstrosity he committed. He tried to run away from his past and sealed it up deep in his mind, but he opened the door ultimately and it costed him a lot. While he tends to not think, there were a few scenes in the series where ... he sucked it up and decided for himself. One of the reasons why this series felt rushed towards the end is because the whole plot devolved into Makima and Denji. While being Chainsaw's biggest fan, Makima wanted to create an ideal world using his power. The ambitious dream is there, but it felt too shallow since the author didn't really put more to it. The whole final arc fighting scenes felt too rushed too as Denji ended with a surprise attack to Makima in the end. The effort to show Denji's personal growth can definitely be seen but the plot could've definitely taken a much slower pace and achieved better results. Also, when Denji finally decided to think for himself, it was too late as the story already progressed so much and he was lacking behind.

Besides Makima and Denji, there were so much more the author could've explored. Devils such as the ones that never died and others like Fox or Future Devil, or even one of the few weapon devils that Makima commanded. There were so much more to the world setting but to end it withing 100 chapters felt very disappointing. With that being said, I really hope the author makes it up in part 2 where he shows the whole world setting more. Who are the devils and why do they exist. What exactly is the gun devil and who are the good/bad guys in the setting. Where are the devils coming from and how or if Denji can stop them from hurting the world. Finally, Denji can now think and is being educated at the school, can he really become the hero that he always wanted to be? The author has left many questions unanswered in part 1, and I hope he can answer them in part 2.

It was frustrating to watch this episode. Like most other people said, the ending doesn't feel like an ending even though it should be. It doesn't explain the suicide problem and suddenly Frill went from the final boss to one-minute screen time??? This is some game of thrones level bad. Thank god the animation is still pretty similar to last season but other than that it is not worth watching at all. Not sure what went through their heads when they wrote this plot but seriously it doesn't explain anything... I would be fine if there is a second season but it doesn't look like ... there will be one.
