If you are a fan of the game and are here because you wanted to watch an anime adaptation of it, forget it. If you just randomly happened to come across this anime and see that it has a horror genre tag, disregard it. This is a short, nonsensical comedy.
Story:
There isn't much of a story. It's three minutes long and is episodic. Four friends find themselves trapped in a haunted mansion with Ao Oni. Wacky, ridiculous goings on occur as we watch the friends get hanged, beheaded, eaten, etc., etc., etc..
Characters:
There's Mika, Takurou, Takeshi, and Ao Oni. All the human characters are in chibi form.
...
Except for one episode in which we get some insight into the daily life of Ao Oni and one episode where Mika tries to confess her love, there isn't much character development happening. The people are pretty much there for the sole purpose of comedic relief while they get attacked.
Sound & Art:
Both are decent enough and do the job. Nothing spectacular about them.
Enjoyment and Overall:
I liked it and thought it was hilarious. In my opinion this anime is underrated but, admittedly, I realize that this show isn't for everyone

Making a review just because there isn't one yet. If you are looking for a serious manga, look elsewhere. This one volume, thirteen chapter series is fun, comedic, and quick/easy to read.
Story:
7/10 Two brothers, Mario and Luigi, are hapless plumbers (I'm sure you already knew that) who were working on the pipes in Princess Peach's castle. When out of nowhere some giant pipes start jutting up from the ground through which miscellaneous Koopas emerge to wreak havoc. Bowser also makes an appearance in his koopa copter and gives Peach an ultimatum. Either marry him or her people will be turned to stone. Thus the adventure
...
begins when everybody jumps through the giant pipe.
Art:
7/10 What do you expect? It was made in the early 90's and is based on a video game. The art could be described as cartoonish. I happen to like it.
Characters:
I'm giving them a 9/10 just because. It's the characters we all know. Mario, Luigi, Bowser, Yoshi, Peach, the koopalings, etc.. And if you have stuck around to read this review until now then I'm sure that you, as do I, love them. Or you're at least a fan of them.
Enjoyment and Overall:
I'd say it is a solid 7/10. I enjoyed this and reading it brought back a lot of nostalgic feelings. If you are a fan of Mario in general or if you just want something to pass the time then this is definitely worth the read.

Story: I can sum it up in two words: Stockholm Syndrome. That's what's going on in this anime and there isn't a more obvious example available. It isn't a true romance. The king essentially holds the girl hostage and then she gradually falls for him. She begins to see what she wants to see in him (the fact that he's emotionally damaged and needs to be loved) and soon forgets the fact that she's there against her wishes.
Characters: I'll start with Livius. He's the child of a king but since his mother was a commoner both he and his mother were treated like outcasts. As
...
a kid he somehow ascended the throne and became king after his mother died. He acts like a spoiled brat and nobody likes him. So how did he become king and why do people accept that he's king? If he's so hated, why hasn't anyone just killed him yet and made life better for everyone? No idea. The first questions are never really answered which bugged me. The second question isn't answered either which bugged me more. It would have been so easy to kill and replace him and nobody would have cared.
Nike is a princess from a far off kingdom that has been promised to the Sun King. She starts off as a strong willed, likable character who can be a bit stubborn at times. But over the course of the show I came to dislike her more and more. Almost certainly because she softens and somehow falls in love with her captor, the child king Livius. She has a unique ability to bring rain when she sings.
Art and sound are both great and there isn't much to say about them. Overall I didn't enjoy the show for reasons I've given above.

Gonna make this review relatively short and to the point. The artwork is amazing and the basic synopsis is an intriguing one. A high school girl, Misao, who is able to see spirits is being coveted by demons because she is the "Senka". By partaking of her flesh or having sex with her a demon can become more powerful and bring prosperity and strength to his clan. A childhood friend and her first crush, Kyo, who is a demon tengu, returns after being away for 10 years and protects her. Sounds good so far. However, the actual story isn't that great and the two main
...
characters are awful.
Kyo is just about the worst kind of guy there is. He is possessive, manipulative, demanding, jealous, and violent. He pretty much does whatever he wants and continually forces his will on Misao. He blames her for having to do what he does. Misao is a weak, needy, indecisive, whiny girl who loves Kyo to a fault. It doesn't matter what he does to her or others she still loves him and goes along with everything he does. She can't live without him (or so she thinks).
I can't really get into the story without spoiling some things (everything I've said so far you'll find out by reading the synopsis and the first few chapters). Suffice it to say that the entire story is all meant to test the love Kyo and Misao have for each other. Everything that happens is for this sole purpose. All the supporting character's roles, all the plot twists, all the bloodshed and mental anguish that happens. It's all meant to show you, the reader, that true love will last forever. About the only thing I personally felt towards these two and their relationship was contempt and disgust.
If you want a dark, twisted romance with some violence, bloodshed, and a domineering main guy, I guess this is for you. But if you're looking for a real romance that's more pure and makes you feel all warm inside, look elsewhere.

Not gonna lie. This is the worst show I have seen since.... well perhaps I shouldn't mention it. This show is absolutely awful. If you are into anime that make you hate yourself for having watched and wasted time on it then this is for you.
The information regarding each disorder they talk about is actually kinda sorta a tiny bit interesting although some of it only seems to be relevant if you are a Japanese male. The information may not be entirely accurate but it's not really expected to be (it's an anime, not a documentary or educational show).
However, the very small positive that the
...
information brings is greatly offset by the horrid way it is presented. The show is a mess. The jokes are ridiculous, stupid, and unfunny. With the characters being just as bad. It's got creepy old guys, perverts, voyeurs, and airheaded nurses to point out a few. Sure, some of the disorders might relate to these oddballs but the characters are still a major negative.
The art and the animation aren't great. The music is meh. Overall I'm giving it a 3 and I might be generous giving it that. Probably deserves a 2.

Writing this only because there isn't a review yet. There really isn't any story at all. You get to see some familiar faces and then suddenly it ends. The character's personalities, what little bit shines through, are on par with the main series. Same goes for the art. I'd say more but there isn't anything else to say.
