Hi!
Hello there! Here's my mal account I guess lol
Just a short introduction; ^^
Considering anime, shows, books and movies in general, I like most genres - but horror, mystery and suspense are my favourites by a long margin.
I love visual novels!
As a result, my favourite animes are usually adaptations of visual novels, such as Steins;Gate (including Steins;Gate 0) and Higurashi.
Other than my favourites list, I also really really like Oyasumi Punpun, The Promised Neverland and 20th Century Boys!
My favourite manga by a wide margin is Houseki no Kuni, or Land of the Lustrous.
It comprises of one of my favourite art-styles, one of my favourite themes and storylines, and some of my absolute favourite characters in fiction from Yellow Diamond, Euclase, Phosphophyllite, Rutile, Diamond, Cinnabar, and Cairngorm/Ghost Quartz.
Umineko is probably my favourite piece of writing ever created. Although, for a bit of clarification, the Umineko anime adaptation is straight GARBAGE. *Please* don't watch it. I've only rated it 10/10 because the visual novel is peak fiction. Please go read it if you can and if you feel like doing it! You have to put up with some pretty horrid pacing, ESPECIALLY the beginning two episodes, but you get one of the best stories ever told in return!
The way to read umineko definitively is absolutely:
Using the "Umineko Project" installation, reading through both the question and answer arcs, and then reading chapter 7 and 8 of the manga.
I deeply dislike fanservice - but I understand that it is pretty much required to there in this medium, so I usually won't deduct too many points for it unless it's there in egregious amounts.

A short list of my general tastes in anime;
In terms of which anime did which part best, I think:
Music-Wise: The Promised Neverland! [It is quite literally the pinnacle of anime soundtracks for me.]
Story-Wise: Higurashi has by far the most chilling and beautiful story I've witnessed.
Art-Wise: Grimgar and Mushishi have really magnificent and pretty art, my best of all time!
Comedy-Wise: Nichijou and Asobi Asobase are my favourites :) I really liked them! Very nice light-hearted slice of life series.
Character-Wise: Steins;Gate has a set of diverse, incredibly well developed and complex characters that got me a tiny bit too attached..
Innovation-Wise: Aku no Hana or Flowers of Evil is unique, disturbing and wonderfully interesting as a show. I also adore Houseki no Kuni or Land of the Lustrous in this regard.

But overall i agree other animes does it better but i still think its up there for sure
You should try 3-Gatsu no Lion, on that subject i think its the best one, its deep and rooted in reality, a tough but memorable watch especially season 2 (:
