+ The cast of friends have all grown up together but eventually, something happens along the way that splits them apart + They're bother rather depressing yet they leave a happy or innocent feeling in you once you finish it + Love triangles are involved + In the end, you can see the change between the group of friends compared to what they were like in the beginning and the end after dealing with their issues which is pretty depressing in my opinion. It basically shows how dramatically something can change a person - Anohana focuses on only paranormal activities while Nagi no Asukara leans a lot more towards the fantasy world

...then you might like Himouto! Umaru-chan add

The first thing I noticed was that Himuouti! Umaru-chan and Gugure! Kokkuri san is that have a similar title, but that's obviously not the reason I recommend watching them - They're both light hearted comedies, so don't expect any serious drama or depressing scenes in either of them - The female protagonists have a chibi like form - The male protagonists are responsible for taking care of the female protagonist - The female protagonists are a bit extraordinary when it comes to their ways of living

They both involve a somewhat large cast of students dealing with their own issues. It seems like your typical harem judging by the profile of the anime, but there's a lot more behind that Myself;Yourself and Clannad: After Story lean towards the depressing side yet the animes & their plots are very enjoyable from the beginning until the end

Charlotte and Yamada-kun to 7-nin no Majo (or Yamada-kun and the Seven Witches) focus towards a group of students who have their own supernatural abilities such as teleporting, invisibility, etc. Some characters even have a depressing backstory or life in general yet they keep their heads held high The group of friends or acquaintances set a goal to find other people with supernatural abilities like them to accomplish something important using teamwork
