Honestly This manga has so much potential its killing me. The way it builds up so perfectly to chapter 10, and then executing a reveal in such an unpredictable and astounding manner left me itching for more.

Its still early to call anything but I truly think this could be a gem of a series with the way its going. I don't have too much to talk about as again it is very early, but I highly recommend picking this one up simply because of that chapter 10 grand slam.

The characters and story are what drive the series, each one stands out in their respective ... area, but I will admit they are quite stereotypical. However I do believe that the way the characters are used in the story is what makes this manga stand out. I feel a lot of the time characters will be added, given a couple lines every time they show up and only make sense to fill in that stereotypical character. This manga is good at making characters feel like they live in the story, make the reader get truly invested in them and that's what makes the build up, the final reveal all the more worth it.

I'm surprised people don't seem to like this manga all that much, and while I'll agree the story/general direction was pretty nonexistent the atmosphere of the manga itself was amazing.

The ship and its crew always seemed so lively, as each character instils their own unique presence. Where this manga really shines is in it's art and again atmosphere, the ships and dragons are beautifully drawn and makes you feel this sense of wonder, and leaves you itching to see what's around the next corner.

There are chapters later on that enhance the world building aspect of the manga. It does this through visiting other towns, ... showing other drake ships or developing other characters by showing what they do while the main characters are off doing flashy drake huntery things. this dynamic is another aspect that I think this manga nails.

TL;DR: awesome atmosphere and art, mediocre story but great characters
