Up until now, we have the deconstruction of mecha anime (Neon Genesis Evangelion), oh and lets add the deconstruction of magical girls anime (Mahou Shoujo Madoka Magica) so lets talk about the deconstruction of card game anime (maybe, not that serious as the two animes above), Selector Infected WIXOSS.
So, SIW's premise is about Ruko Kominato, your typical loner girl that have no friends. And one day, while having dinner, her older brother gave her a box of cards called the currently famous WIXOSS card game played by girls and boys. By her surprise, one of her cards talked! And here, we will know the untold
...
story of the mysterious card game and the Selectors.
And there goes the saying "Story may be deceiving". If you really thought that it would turn out to be your type of Yu-Gi-Oh anime, then you are wrong. This is a split-cour anime so just go with the flow. Story wise, Mari Okada who is known for Anohana and Nagi no Asukara creates this series together with the Director of Steins;Gate (I don't remember the name, so sorry) in this studio, J.C. Staff so be aware again with this two.
Another thing in this series is that the fact that you get this Madoka vibes because of the twists and some of the characters and maybe that's true but I really don't want to compare this two, I really like Psychological genres and BOOM!
The art, itself was not so awesome but pretty mediocre to my eyes. There are parts that dark scenes are pretty dark and white scenes are pretty white so I can't see it that well. The action scenes is a lackster in this series, the card games also just lasted for a minute or some seconds. And lastly, the series not explained that well the rules of playing WIXOSS but maybe, thats because they more focused on the plot.
One of the outstanding thing here is the sounds though it was not that noticeable. I really enjoyed the BGM when there is a battle and some dramatic thing. The Opening theme got me really and have an LSS on it, the Ending theme is really good too. Really can't say anything about it.
However, the characters. This is a con to the series because the main character, herself was not really relatable and not developed that much. There are some characters that I found developed and they are Yuzuki and Hitoe. Now that I think it, Yuzuki is not likable in the first half due to the fact that she lover her twin brother, romantically. And Hitoe just wants friends but really don't have confidence. But now, they really stands by their way that really make me happy about them. Iona and Akira was not really likeable and pretty mysterious and never developed. And the cards, well, mixed emotions. I like them but at the sometimes, I disliked them.
So overall, I had a heck of a ride from Selector Infected WIXOSS. There are some elements that I didn't liked about this series but still, a blast and the plot twists from it is enough for me to give this show a high score. Some may agree and some may not agree but if you like dark animes, try this one. I surely hope that the second season would not disappoint. You have my respect, Ms.(or Mrs) Okada.

My avatar says it at all who is my favourite girl in Date A Live franchise. But neither way, let's talk about the latest season of Date A Live, Date A Live II.
So Date A Live II just follows the story from the first season. This sequel adapts the Light Novel's Volume 5-7 that only lasted for 10 episodes so the story is pretty rushed. And also, the first episode itself was a filler so basically, if you hate Tohka, just skip it to the second episode.
Keitarou Motonaga still directs this season. Notably known for directing Legend of the Galactic Heroes, School Days and more,
...
he did a good job for directing this series although there are some failures and sorts.
I'm not kidding if I'll say the quality of the animation in this season was terrible. Sure, the fanservice scenes was kinda good but the action scene was poor animated. The last 2 episode's animation really proves that AIC Plus+ is really short in budget. So in short, the art was mediocre.
A good thing about this season is the sound. Pretty comparable to Sidonia no Kishi's sounds but the main point here is when there's an action scene, I felt that it was an action scene because of the OST. sweet ARMS returns to perform the OP song "Trust in You". Kaori Sadohara (who is an actual member of sweet ARMS) performs the ED theme "Day to Story" which is pretty good and a reliever of the show.
If you'll ask about the voice acting. The casts from the first season returned but I'll pinpoint Marina Inoue here voicing Tohka. I thought that she gave justice to develop Tohka's voice in this season, maturing her voice and her song performance beats up Minori Chihara songs. And going to Minori, voicing Miku Izayoi not fits for her. The truth is, I'm pretty hyped for her voice but it turns out that it lacks something. Maaya Uchida and Sarah Emi Bridcut did a good job voicing the Yamai twins. But overall, I don't have any complaints besides Miku's voice.
Lets go to the characters. Well, Shido took a level to become a baddass which is a good character development for him. But same old as in the first season. Still oblivious and acting like an hero wanting to save a Princess and only relies to Kotori's orders. Either way, his baddassness is pretty good.
Tohka returns as your naive but a sweet Princess which I think also developed too in a way that she tries to understands Shido and its actually good for her to be honest and rather became a supporting character rather than the main character. She too, took a level to become a baddass and Episode 6 and Episode 10 managed to make her shine.
Origami, Yoshino, Kotori and Kurumi just pushed to a side to become supporting characters. But if you love Kurumi, she will appear later so don't rage about it. The three new Spirits will not be spoiled for you but they are still, added to Shido's harem.
Overall, a simple 'very good' is my enjoyment in this series. There are a lot of pros and cons but still, Date A Live II is a heck of a ride for its fans and viewers. Let's wait and see the OVA and the Movie.

"Wow." You know when to say this word when you are actually watching an anime or reading a manga. And this is my true thoughts about Evangelion 3.0 You Can (Not) Redo.
Basically this movie is the sequel of Evangelion 2.0 You Can (Not) Advance which occurred 14 years after the Third Impact. Well, our main character Shinji just woke up after fourteen years and have to dealt his current situation where everyone despise him. Befriending Kaworu Nagisa, he still have the chance to save the world from the next impact.
Time skip is literally annoying for some anime. In this movie, you will be confused what
...
the heck happened the past 14 years and why people whom Shinji protected from Angels betrayed him and why Rei didn't knew that he saves her from the last movie. The story is very good because you will wonder what did happened? 8/10
The animation is still solid and more improved in this film. The use of 3D animation is pretty good here and for dark animes, the dark scenes are good and the fighting scenes are pretty epic. But the scene that stood out for me here is the piano scene, the scenery is pretty relaxing to here. 10/10
The use of recyclable sounds from the original series here is noticeable. I thought that the sounds are pretty good here. The ED song by Hikaru Utada is relaxing to hear. And for the voicing acting, Maaya Sakamoto did a great job for voicing Mari. 9/10
The characters. I'll not spoil a lot about the characters but I'll just say one thing, most of them changed expect Shinji, Kaworu and Mari. I nearly hated Misato, Asuka and Rei here to be honest. Those three were shoehorned and making you wonder 'why?'. But Asuka is an exception because she became a total baddass here and I also think that she still linger feelings for Shinji as much what 2.0 hinted about her. And yes, I was reminded that those three became secondary characters so I hope they will have big role in the final movie especially Mari and Asuka.
Shinji is still same but actually he kinda grew up in this film. But Kaworu, I still love his character but I wish they explored more about his character because I love his bond with Shinji (although it was kinda gay at some points). 7/10
Overall, Evangelion 3.0 is pretty enjoyable characters. You'll be at the verge of liking it or hating it and truly, Evangelion (and NGE as well) is a masterpiece. 8/10
And please excuse me while I'm having some serious mental breakdown here.

If you are looking for epic movies, I definitely recommend you to watch this one, you'll not regret watching Evangelion 2.0 You Can (Not) Advance. I promise you.
Now, I actually didn't reviewed Evangelion 1.0 You Are (Not) Alone for the reason that it covered the first few episodes of the original series (but expect the changes) and the movie actually focused Shinji and Rei's relationship. And yes, this is the sequel of the first movie.
Angels are keeping on attacking and Rei and Shinji are carrying the responsibility to save humanity. And to add to their team, there is the fiery Asuka and the mysterious Mari.
...
How will they'll gonna fight the Angels? Will the Third Impact happen?
Same old story but is added epicness. Thats what I can say about Evangelions 2.0's story. Definitely unique and the plot twists are actually good. As much that I enjoyed the original series' story, its applied in my enjoyment here too. 9/10
You know how much the art improved in the Rebuilds? 100% new and better. CGI is applied on the EVA's here that actually made them more baddass and the Angels, all of them have epic faces that makes me wonder why they looked like that. 10/10
The sound is nearly perfect but I don't why songs are applied when some battle scenes appeared. But still, the music score is epic that its like I'm hearing Yuki Kajiura's music but I don't want to compare their musics, both are good composers. The ED song by Hikaru Utada is quite good. 9/10
The characters. I felt the development among Shinji, Asuka and Rei.
Shinji became a completely baddass at the final minutes of the movie. Same old boy that is having tantrums but he is a Yandere, don't make him angry or you'll feel his wrath.
Rei, I loved her development here (that is same with Asuka), she comes out in her nutshell and actually eager to build up Shinji and Gendo's relationship. Her and Shinji's relationship may be weird (because of some reasons, its a spoiler) but I felt it here.
Asuka Langley SHIKINAMI. This movie changed her surname and some parts of her personality is changed but the thing here is if you hate Asuka in the original series, in this movie, she is not that annoying as you think. I don't know why but her relationship with Shinji is kinda weak here than in NGE. She is completely baddass here.
Mari Makinami Illustrious, the pilot of EVA 05 is a mysterious person but likeable. You know how to like a female character when she is baddass when it comes to fighting.
The other characters are simply the same. Misato knows NERV's secrets that surprised me about her character. And Kaworu, still the same but he kinda have some connection with Gendou. 10/10
Overall, Evangelion 2.0 is epic and great. Its a pleasure to watch it and to re-watch it again. And, I recommend that if you are going to watch the Rebuilds, watch the original series+EOE first before the movies because of big changes. And maybe this will not hunt me but it deserves to have a high score. 9/10

When you promised to your childhood sweetheart that you don't clearly remember that you'll marry each other someday by unlocking a locket, will you still fulfill it even if you are in a relationship? How about a fake relationship?
Nisekoi or False Love is just another cliche animes right there. Its all about promises, girls that are involve to a guy's harem, the guy being oblivious to his crush's feelings for him and fake relationship. What can you expect? Raku Ichijou, a yakuza's father son is forced to have relationship to a rival gang's daughter, Chitoge Kirisaki to avoid war between the two for 3 years.
...
They have this 'hate at first sight' relationship. How can they manage their relationship if his classmate-ex-crush Kosaki Onodera (who likes him too but can't manage to confess her feelings for him) is aware to their relationship? What if everyone finds that out? And what if there would be intruders to their relationship?
Just because this anime is cliche doesn't means that I don't like it. For a romantic comedy anime, SHAFT managed this one. Who remembers Bean Sprout and Gorilla? Shaft did a great job to this one and their phenomenal head tilts are here. If you want rom-com shows, give this one a try. 7/10
Oh what can I say about the art? Fantastic! The animation is vivid and colorful with a taste of slow motion techniques in some scenes. Like what I said, thank you Shaft for animating this one, although it was surprising, you didn't disappoint me. 10/10
The sounds. The OST's are decent and both OP and ED are great. The two Openings (CLICK and STEP) by ClariS are both and very suitable for the series and the ending themes, I personally liked Heart Pattern (by Nao Touyama a.k.a Chitoge) and Hanagonomi (by Kana Asumi a.k.a Marika Tachibana) the other two are also good too, its a pleasure to hear them all.
The voice acting, I thought that Kana Hanazawa did a great job for voicing Onodera. Also, Nao Touyama delivered well Chitoge's tsun-tsun personality and Kana Asumi for Marika's sweet but scary voice. I can't remember clearly Raku and Tsugumi's voice and others but they did a great job and one that stood out in my ears is Yuki Kaji in his pervert role (again) to Shu Maiko. 9/10
Most of the characters didn't developed that well in my opinion.
Raku Ichijou. Always expect to a harem show that the main guy is dense and true indeed to this guy. He may be a jerk often times but he is a jerk with a heart of gold.
Chitoge Kirisaki. Many male viewers hate her for her tsundere personality but the truth is she is just a innocent girl that doesn't know a lot of things about love and she just express her feelings in a violent way. She had the biggest character development throughout the entire series.
Kosaki Onodera. Completely opposite of Chitoge as many male viewers find her cute and charming. She is just like Raku that is oblivious to his feelings for her but somehow she's a girl that will inspire you.
Tsugumi Seishirou. Another tsundere character that is in denial to her true feelings. Because her appearance is becoming lesser as the shows goes by, her development is weak.
Marika Tachibana. Your sweet and classic girl that is expressive to her feelings but the truth is she is fragile and scary inside. But still, you will like her. 9/10
I enjoyed this anime a lot though the characters didn't had the development that I wanted and also, this may be irrelevant to the story but the Paper Plane in the OP sequence... I remembered its manga's one-shot story. Just sayin'
Overall, Nisekoi is focused on how relationship grows and how you relate your self by the characters here. If you noticed grammar mistakes here, just let met know because I can't calm when I'm typing this. Anyways, again if you love romantic comedy animes that is wrapped in an harem anime, give this one a shot, because the episodes will sure surprise you. 8/10

If you are disappointed in NGE's Ending, maybe its time to watch The End of Evangelion, or the other ending of Neon Genesis Evangelion... in some sort of way like the series' ending, you'll feel...
Okay, following in NGE, EOE is the other Episode 25 & 26 of the anime bundled in a movie. As I read forums about NGE, someone suggested to just skip the series' 25 & 26 and jump into EOE and I guess I should recommend this to you folks if you will try watching NGE someday because if you hate disappointing endings... you know what to do. The story itself may
...
confuse you and me as well, is confused on the second half of the movie. Sure, the first half is pretty good but the second half kinda felt boring for me but probably I'll watch this again. 9/10
The improvement of art in this movie may not be noticeable but its good. But reminder that this is an Mild and Nudity movie, there are some scenes that I find similar to some gore scenes in Elfen Lied so I hope you'll be ready for the gruesome and nudity scenes. The action scene (with Asuka) is pretty good and yeah, the animation in the second half was fantastic, I don't know how to describe it that much. 8/10
The sound, I think they used some OST's from the series again but again, as I mentioned in my NGE's review, the sound fits whenever a action scene will come out. I think they used the 'Hallelujah' sound again with one scene. 7/10
Sure, Shinji is one of my favourite characters now, but I felt that his development become a waste in this movie and I feel that I'm watching TWGOK Episode 12 where all the developments that the MC had, become a waste. But yeah, don't watch him out at the hospital scene if you don't like a lot of nudity. The movie didn't explained that much how did he overcome his self-negative thoughts.
The ones that had the development that I've been searching for is Asuka and Rei. Heck, Asuka became a total baddass in this movie which make me want to put her in my list. She snaps out and totally understands herself. Even Rei too, the moment she said "I am not your doll." gave me chills. She and Asuka had this similar development where they finally snaps. 10/10
This movie again is one heck of a ride. I won't say what truly happened to the other characters because the whole movie is a spoiler if you haven't watched this yet. Maybe the second half of the movie will confuse you a heck about but still, EOE is one heck of an anime that will give you the chills and some mind .... and it may be not worth watching for others, truly, Neon Genesis Evangelion and The End of Evangelion is one of the most controversial animes that I've ever watched. 8/10

Neon Genesis Evangelion is one of the most controversial anime in the whole anime history. You will be intrigued by the story and characters as well. Gainax has been known for their works like FLCL, Gurren Lagan, Panty and Stocking and more. If you are intrigued in why people liked and disliked this anime, then give this a try.
Sure, NGE has a interesting plot. Its all about humanity, EVA's, Angels, NERV, religion-themed issue, inner thoughts of 4 Main Characters of this anime and more. Its story is very controversial and when I saw its videos on youtube, it caught my interest to watch this and
...
I'm pretty glad that I watched this anime thats why, the story score for me is 10/10.
The Art. This is '90's anime but Gainax did a very well job in handling the art. The EVA's was pretty awesome and baddass. But the Angel's looks kinda let me down, they look like weirds but at least they are already defeated. 9/10
About the Sounds. Personally, the OP song is still in mind, I'm having an LSS of this song and the animation of the Opening Songs is very unique, its very fun to watch the Opening all over again. The Ending Song is refreshing to hear and it had a lot of versions which is very good. The OST was great too, the background music when the action scenes will come out is fitting and hooking too.
The voice acting is good. I watched the Japanese Version and I think that all voices fit to the characters though when Asuka speak in German and if you're a German, you know what to say. I also think that Megumi Ogata, Megumi Hayashibara and Akira Ishida did a great job for voicing their characters. Some said that English dub is good too so its up to you what version will you watch. 8/10
I understand why many people hate Shinji and Asuka. But I tried my best to understand them and its worth it.
Shinji is your weak type of character, had the greatest development through the entire series and a relatable character in my opinion. For his age, you will understand why he runs away, why he hates his father and why he pilots his EVA. He was the main focus in the last 2 episodes so you will understand him very well. Its the first time that I saw a character that don't want to do a stuff. Usually, in a mecha-anime, the MC voluntaries to pilot a robot but here, nope. Its pretty hard to have the responsible to protect the humanity in the age of 14 years old, so Shinji, even though many hates you, I still salute you because of your quote "I must not run away."
Asuka is a 'b' and annoying character at first, but her backstory made her strong, I admire her for that. She is energetic type of girl but in the same time, she hated everything even herself. But also, I am in the verge of giving her 'my favourite female character' but she lacked developments. I also like her chemistry with Shinji, they are like 'dog and cat'
Rei Ayanami, she had a shocking plot twist but I think she also lacked in development like Asuka. She is very a very interesting character which will want you to know more about her. I still want to know more about her and her relationship with Shinji is good.
Misato Katsuragi, she and Asuka had similarities. You will find her likeable character but once you learned the truth about her, I wish that you'll not despise her. I think that she and Shinji had this 'mother/sister-son/brother' relationship which I find very fun and heartwarming. She had a lot of developments too throughout the series.
As for the other characters, you will have this 'hate-love' feeling for Gendo Ikari, I don't know, I just find him likeable and not-likeable at the same time. The other ones was pretty interesting too. But for me, Kaworu Nagisa is one of the most interesting character. 8/10
Although there are a lot of elements that I did liked and loved about this anime, the ending made me down. Sorry but even if its quite good, there are still some problems that aren't resolved so go watch 'The End of Evangelion' if you hated the ending. And also, Kaworu... I loved his smile, but where's the justice for him?
But overall, I really enjoyed NGE and if you are into mecha-animes or psychological animes, give this one a try but I can't assure you if you will regret watching this. But for me, NGE is a one heck of anime.
