First things first: this is a hentai manga. If you just want to flog the dolphin, just do it and don't take this review seriously. However, if you want to see what Emergence, or Metamorphosis, is all about, go ahead and take a seat.
Emergence is perhaps one of the most infamous hentai mangas. I would argue it's also one of the most overhyped ones. People keep hyping it up as this disturbing, thought-provoking, and deep hentai manga, which I believe it's not. Emergence certainly has a plot that is deeper than most hentai mangas, but it does nothing meaningful with it. It's just a device
...
for the main character to have sex with the most despicable, ugly men in the most humiliating ways. At times it's just kind of ridiculous, I don't mean it in a "THERE'S TOO MUCH SEX IN MY HENTAI MANGA!!" way, but it's like every single man she encounters wants to abuse or rape her in some way. It's very bleak and also what makes the manga so disturbing. It's also why I don't think the manga is as deep as people try to make it out to be, aside from our main character none of the side characters have any depth or nuance to them.
I'm going to be honest here, perhaps it's because I've seen movies with similar concepts but with a better execution, this didn't do much for me in terms of emotional weight. Sure, I do feel really bad for the main character, but everything is so over the top disturbing and every side character is so irredeemably evil that I found it hard to take it seriously. I didn't expect a happy ending; in fact, I like that the author chose for a sad ending, but one or two moments of actual hope for the future would have made this manga far more emotional.
But what am I ranting about anyhow, this is just a hentai manga made for obvious purposes. The art is good and the sex scenes are, errr, very detailed. Give it a try if you're curious but if you're not used to bleak and disturbing stories like this, pass on it.

I don't think this deserves the title of worst anime simply because it's literally only 3 minutes long, with the actual story being like 2 min and 30 sec or something. This is just Japanese surrealism, and it's not really meant to be enjoyed. The story is incredibly strange and by reading the summary you already know everything that happens in it. The voice acting is extremely poor, although I think it was intentionally bad. It's just one guy voicing everything (presumably the same guy who made this entire thing, even?). I thought the art and the idea behind it was somewhat cool but it
...
doesn't go anywhere. The characters just... exist, I guess. There's probably some symbolism or meaning behind them. All in all, not really worth investing time in, there's nothing to be enjoyed and it's just strange.

Akudama Drive is definitely a very enjoyable action anime. But if you're looking for anything more than that, you'll be disappointed.
- Story (5) -
The anime, for the first half, has a simple but very promising premise. Best way to put it is: seven drastically different criminals have to work together to bring a dangerous heist to a good end. It's not something groundbreaking or terribly intellectual; but it makes for some good, fun action. However, in the second half, the anime starts taking itself more seriously… and that's where it falls apart for me. It feels like a disoriented mess of cool ideas and neat
...
concepts with no clear idea of what the endgoal is or how they all tie together. It also became apparent that the anime didn't care so much about consistency and twisted its earlier established concepts to fit their new narrative. I'm making it all sound very bad, but it's not that glaringly bad! If you only care about action, the story is definitely passable. However, for anyone expecting more, you'll be disappointed.
- Art (9) -
I don't have anything negative to say about this. The art style (which is Danganronpa-ish) is very nice and easy on the eyes. Everything looks neat and I personally didn't notice any mistakes. It's not breathtakingly beautiful but it's among one of the best animated anime series I have ever seen.
- Sound (8) -
Again, nothing wrong. Catchy music and the voice acting was very good.
- Character (3) -
This was one of the biggest disappointments for me. From the very beginning it was evident that the characters were very stereotypical, and its saving grace were their great designs and their dynamic. I hoped the anime would expand on their backstories or add more depth to them, but this never happened. All in all they started great but ended up becoming very forgettable. After a while it also became very predictable what would happen to them, although the anime did surprise me a few times in the manner that it happened (to say it with as little spoilers as possible, haha)
- Enjoyment (8) -
Like I mentioned before, if you only care about action and don't over-analyze the characters or the plot, you'll enjoy it. Even when the characters and story made my blood boil I still somewhat enjoyed watching the anime.
- Overall (7) -
The anime is not bad, but not particularly good either. Mostly wasted potential, it could have been better. But it's still good for the action.

Is this the worst anime ever? No. Is it overrated? Yes.
Let's start with story, which is 3.
Story had great potential, despite the whole idea of being stuck in a game is pretty old. There are two arcs by the way, the first one has 14 episodes. The two episodes were great, and learned us more about how the MMO works and set us up with solid characters. But there it stops. The remaining episodes of the first arc are unnecessary side character episodes, fillers and time skips. Conclusion of first arc can be summed up in three words; 'Deus Ex Machina' Yes, the first arc
...
of the anime had nothing to do with the actual plot. And it only becomes worse in the second arc. Suddenly the game changes from 'SAO' to 'Mario'. Our main hero has to save his waifu from a castle, while expanding his harem on the way. How he saves her? WITH MORE DEUS EX MACHINA! Also, incest sub-plot and tentacle rape. All logic disappears and our main hero becomes pretty much invincible. However, I guess it's then still an improvement from the first arc since it focuses more on fighting and adventure rather than unnecessary episodes. So, there is also a romance subplot which is no better than Twilight. It feels really unnatural, forced and kind of disturbing considering our main hero has an entire harem by his side.
Well, moving on to characters... a 1.
So, there is a lot of discussion about whether the main hero Kirito/Kazuto is a Gary Stu (FYI, a Gary Stu is a perfect guy) or not. I'm not looking to start a flame war here so I'm not going to give my opinion on it, but it is true that he is pretty OP, never dies, all girls want to have sex with him and defeats MMO bosses SOLO. In the first arc he doesn't have much personality neither, and it only improves slightly in the second arc.
The main heroine is Asuna, who on first sight looks like a badass female gamer... (And a bit of a Mary Sue) She also is for the first episodes, but later she pretty much becomes Kirito's waifu and is completely helpless. She becomes a boring, tsundere and worthless plotdevice that cooks. Yeah, I'm serious, instead of fighting she cooks.
The other characters? Let's see, hmm... Yui is pretty much a cheat device, Suguha is the sister who loves her brother Kirito too much, aaaandd... I completely forgot about the others. The other girls are just there to expand Kirito's harem and the villains are hilarious. (in a bad way)
Art and sound are 8 and 7, nothing wrong here. Bosses are very nicely done, backgrounds are great and shading is nice. Music is fitting.
Enjoyment is 4. Okay, nobody likes main heroes who can't do anything. But nobody likes heroes who beats MMO bosses solo in a minute either. Why? Because it's boring! You can't relate to Kirito or any of the other characters. Some unnecessary episodes will make you facepalm, the villains will make you laugh and sometimes you will even feel disturbed!
Overall is 5. It isn't that bad. Some episodes ARE enjoyable, but not enjoyable enough to make up for all the bad ones. The characters are bad, boring and mostly serve no purpose. If you're a hardcore gamer and think you will enjoy this, think again. This anime will just make you facepalm due to the lack of logic and the overuse of Deus Ex Machina. Best to avoid this, it's not as good as some people make it out to be. The 'strong female character' Asuna is just a big lie.
This is only about Kirito and his OPness and harem.

When I saw the most given rating for this anime is 1, I couldn't possibly believe it. No anime could be that bad right? Well...on a side note, if you were preparing popcorn for a Pupa marathon, the anime is in total only 48 minutes long.
Better go watch a good movie then waste your time on this.
The story summary was actually interesting, but don't let it fool you. The anime is confusing and rushed as hell, and just picks random scenes out of the manga. Every episode is only 4 minutes long (Thus, 48 minutes in total) so there is not much space for
...
the plot if the opening and ending already take a half of the time. Also, the censoring in this anime is over 9000. (Sorry, bad reference and I should feel bad) Usually this doesn't bother me so much, but here they literally censored everything. But since you can watch it uncensored, I won't take any points from the final verdict for that. But basically, about what is every episode then? Yume eating her 'Onii-chan', in a very sexual way. Utsutsu, her Onii-chan, doesn't mind that and only wants her to be happy. The characters in general have as much personality as a shoebox, even with all these completely unnecessary and confusing flashbacks. Honestly, this whole anime is just about Yume and her brother. Other characters just randomly pop up and serve no purpose. Sound is ok, opening and ending song might be the best thing in this anime. Art is not special, the colors used are really unfitting, and animation is pretty bad and re-used a lot.
Pretty much this anime is cannibalistic soft porn. Even when it is almost that, you can't enjoy this. Even when this anime is only 48 minutes long, you waste your time by watching this. Avoid this, and trust me, it's normal this has such a low rating.

EDIT: REVIEW UPDATED AS I PLAYED THE OTOME GAME IT WAS ADAPTED FROM. And I can say, this anime is a disgrace to the game. The game it was adapted from is a dating game called 'Diabolik Lovers: Haunted Dark Bridal' The game itself is actually pretty good, starts bitter but gets sweeter in the end. But this? This stays bitter.
Let's start by saying one of the only positive things about this anime; It actually portrays vampires as they really are. They won't protect nor love you, but will suck your blood. So if you're expecting a Twilight-like Harem romance, you're completely wrong. This anime
...
isn't even romance. This is a sadistic, rapey and bad anime that you just...can't enjoy at all.
The story actually starts pretty good. After reading the summary, it already didn't sound like a happy anime. But the truth is, the plot just disappears after the first episode. It's every episode the exact same thing, Yui getting her blood sucked and verbally and mentally abused. Like our classic Reverse-Harem lead, Yui can't say no and always helps the boys. She was literally being every episode tossed from boy to boy. That's all I have to say about that.
EDIT: At least in the Otome game itself, after a while the boy she choose will start respecting and loving her, but still keeping the sadistic and you-belong-to-me tone. Here in this anime they just all stay jerks.
Art is good, colorful but mixed with gothic elements. It portrayed the sadistic tone of the anime very good, animation was also decent (Yup, bite-scenes included) and the guys were bishies.
Sound is decent, music was bad chosen but the voice actors did a good job and they fitted the characters.
Character is 1. Never given anything so low. The main lead is like a lot of Reverse-Harem leads simply pathetic, she allows the boys to do everything to her and can't say no. She is two dimensional and boring. The boys are pretty much the classic guys you find in otome games, but twist, they're all jerks! They have like real vampires only a desire for blood. But they're still simply pathetic. They do have interesting and sad backstories, but if that was an attempt to make me feel sorry for them, it failed. There is no further development in the characters.
Seriously, you just can't enjoy this unless you like seeing the stuff I said above. It's not a sweet romance story, but a very sadistic story. There is simply no character you will like, they are all meant to be hated.
Overall is 3. If you know what's good for you, avoid this anime. Don't keep watching expecting something interesting will happen, since you will only be disturbed.
EDIT: When will they finally learn you can't make dating games an anime? Yui is in this anime hopeless, while in the game you have the option to sometimes makes her rude or disobey. While in the actual game you can choose between the boys, and while the chosen boy starts sadistic and rude, he starts respecting and loving her. Even in most good endings they end up being a couple or marrying her. Here? Since it's an anime, the boys just stay jerks and never get to know her. This anime gives a completely wrong picture of the actual game.
***Feedback is always welcome :)***

When I read the summary of this anime, I was immediately interested. The first episode had me hooked. The others? Damn, what were they a mess.
STORY-----3
If you're familiar with Elfen Lied, you will notice there are a lot of similarities between that and this anime. Don't worry it's not a rip-off, it's made by the same author and it's both about young girls locked away because they have dangerous powers. However, I hope they will learn they can not fit the manga Gokukoku no Brynhildr into 13 episodes. The plot was very slow, confusing and they just... 'threw' everything at you with no explanation.
...
And I'm going to admit, I don't mind if a dark/depressing show has some fanservice every now and then. As long as it doesn't ruin the atmosphere, it's alright. But here? They just randomly threw in big boobs and sex jokes at the most inappropriate moments. They serve no purpose at all and were a waste of time they could spend on the actual plot. And also, don't watch this anime if you expect brave heroines. The male lead always saves the day, and the girls barely every use their power. As I said before, if you didn't read the manga this anime is confusing as hell. They randomly threw in stuff without explanation. In the last episodes, a new organization shows up, but without explaining why or what their purpose is. A lot of other things also remain completely unexplained. And the end... what kind of mess was that?
ART-----6
Fair enough. Nothing special, cute girls but everything lacks detail. Also, the eyes in this anime are super creepy. They all look like robots to be honest. The colors are dark, and nothing really bright which fits the anime.
SOUND-----7
The first opening was great, and fitted the anime. The 2nd opening? AMAZING! I only mean the song itself. It was way too brutal for this anime, especially because this has a lot of fanservice. Voice actors are simple and nothing special.
CHARACTER-----5
I must admit, I like the goal of our male lead. His childhood friend died and he wanted to honor her by proving aliens exist. He is somehow very good in remembering stuff, but never really explained why. (It doesn't need much explanation though) He -afcourse- always saves the day and all girls like him. This anime is not really a harem though, because he is in love with Kuroha and she with him, and only some sex-obsessed girl who somehow dies and comes back to life in the end without explanation is also in love with him. Honestly, I could care less for the other characters. Some of them were really cool, but they served no role in the plot expect for fanservice or being an asshole to Murakami. It did like how some of their deaths were unexpected, and quite sad. Like I said, only some of them were cool, others were these typical cliche characters (Shy girl with big tits, etc...) The villains in this show though...ugh. Never explained why they are evil, make dumb decisions and wait for every character to give their speech instead of killing them.
ENJOYMENT------5
If you're looking for a dark show, despite some of the moments, you are wrong here. Way too much fanservice, plotholes and boring moments. While some of the characters are interesting, most of them are pretty poorly written and serve no role. Despite some of the deaths, a lot of things were predictable and each episode your questions just pile up. The end simply sucks. If you're watching this because of Elfen Lied, don't. While this has gory moments, they're very limited and ruined by fanservice. No really epic battles neither, as you couldn't see them most of the time.

You. Yeah, you. Are you a lonely teenage girl who doesn't care about anything but sexy bishies? You are? That's good man, that's real good! If you aren't, please turn away and forget that this exists. After watching this you wish to have amnesia to forget it.
NOTE: This anime is based on a dating simulation for girls. I must say, the opening got me already interested. Expect for the fact she was kissing with every guy, it looked really interesting. So did the beginning. The main character is seen trying to escape a building about to collapse. She is then seen working in a cafe,
...
where she apparently has a black-out. And... that's all we get to know in the entire anime about her. I mean, it's about amnesia and all, but that's not a reason to give your characters no backstory or even a NAME. So I guess we just call her 'Heroine'. And if that is not enough yet, she seems to be okay with everything. She can't express herself, and sometimes has problems saying yes or no. At some times the guys even got a bit rapey, but she seems to be completely okay with that and doesn't protest. Either way, the story. It was an interesting concept, Heroine has amnesia and a mysterious pixie named Orion shows up and helps her recover her memories. BTW, the memories are not from her childhood and such, but from her boyfriend. Ughh... first 10 episodes, no progress at all. No plot and very confusing. And then two last episodes, SUGAR RUSH! Since I can't really tell more unless I start telling spoilers, let's move on.
I already said what I thought about the Heroine. Most boring, idiotic and foolish character in a long while. The other characters (In other words, the bishies) are pretty much the ones you find in dating games. The popular one, smart one, shy one, crazy one and mysterious one. They don't have much backstory either actually, and sometimes really treated the Heroine as shit. But you already know she loves being pushed around. Though as I female, I must admit I did like their design a lot. They all looked unique and their eyes...oh god. Might be the best thing in this anime. Might be the best anime eyes I've ever seen. But one thing bothered me.. were these the sons of Slenderman? They really had such long legs it scared me.Okay, this is a reverse harem, but it did not feel romantic at all. Maybe it was because she had amnesia, but it felt like they were two strangers kissing. It's not like she really build a relationship with one of them.
The sound is good, I already said I loved the opening. Voice actors sound okay, Heroine had kind of an annoying voice though.
So, in other words, even for a dating simulation adaption, this was horrible. You might watch because the guys are pretty cute and sexy, but if you're not interested in that you will not find anything of interest. You will start crying because of the stupidity of the Heroine, and your brain will hurt from the confusing (if it actually is there) plot. I say it again, if your dream is to be surrounded by hot guys, this is perfect for you.

Blood-C is definitely not the worst anime I've ever watched, but very far from the best. First of all, if you have a weak stomach, don't watch this anime.
---STORY--- 3
A story about a schoolgirl fighting monsters. Yep. That's the entire plot. Nearly every episode it is the same thing; a boring day on school, and then at night a gory fight with a monster. There is almost no progress in the story, and until the last episodes nothing is revealed about the mysterious monsters she is fighting. In the end the writer tries to catch your attention again with A HUGE TWIST, but he or
...
she fails, as it was an expected and quite stupid twist.
---ART--- 7
Decent art. All guys look a bit too much like females, but the rest is okay. Females look extremely young and cute. Nothing special about it. The monsters look pretty good thou.
---SOUND--- 6
As I am not Japanese, I can not decide whether the voice actors are good or not, but they sound good to me. The opening is a weird mix of French, Engrish and Japanese, but it is okay.
---CHARACTER--- 2
Everybody but the main character has no story. I'm serious. They are boring people without any personality. They are like decorations, just being there without purpose. Well, they have a purpose... to die horribly. So the main character does have a story, which is extremely lame and vague. She is your typical clumsy and cute girl that turns into a monster hunter at night. Apparently her goal is to save everyone, but she fails horribly. When people are about to get killed by monsters, she just waits politely until he finishes. She seems to get heavily injured after every battle, but somehow is the next day completely healed. In other words, these 'characters' are just horrible.
---ENJOYMENT--- 3
Unless you really like seeing people's organs, I don't think you can really 'enjoy' this anime. The battles are sometimes interesting, but not interesting enough to cover the horrible story line and characters. After a few episodes you probably will be bored already, as there is almost no progress.
---OVERALL--- 4
Unless you really like gore, you will not enjoy nor like this anime. It has a bad plot and almost no character development. The art and sound are the only things that saved this anime from even getting a lower rating.
