Fate/Extra does itself a favor by being only 10 episodes long. The overall story is uninteresting, save for the time Saber's identity is revealed. What makes the show enjoyable instead are look and characters.
The art style is very unique and different from other entries in the Fate series. Seeing known characters be portrayed so differently is jarring at first, but other than that the character designs and the locations are gorgeous.
The cast, this time, is a mixed bag. The characters still aren't as likeable as the ones in F/SN but not as bland as the ones in F/GO. The appearances of known faces in this

Studio DEEN's adaptation of F/SN is severely underrated and overlooked.
Yes, it is not accurate to the source material and its look is widely regarded as very much inferior to following adaptations, but these aspects are far from being a dealbreaker. I, for one, greatly appreciate the now-dated art style, music and general direction that give this particular entry in the series a rustic feel that isn't replicated in any other Fate anime. Plot-wise this adaptation includes elements from all routes of the Visual Novel, while still mainly focusing on the Fate/Saber route. The story has a bit of a slow start but picks up around the ... It's about a bunch of messed-up teenagers doing messed up things.
I actually kind of felt bad for the MC's twin sister, which in my book makes her one of the best written characters in all of the porn that I ever watched. This show understands that the pleasure in sex is not only derived from the bare motions but also the emotions that the characters feel. In a way, the plot manages to eliminate the repulsiveness that tends to emerge from incest because the characters feel like actual adolescents not knowing how to handle their feelings; they feel like people. This is not the typical ... Jan 25, 2023
If we are to "objectively" rate this anime then perhaps a 6 out of 10 would be appropriate - which just so happens to be the current average score. But really, not every piece of media is made to be enjoyed by everyone. Ask yourself: what is it what you like? And can it be found in this anime?
I can safely say that art style, animation and especially the music are decent. Very few viewers will have any issues with these aspects of the show - but of course, these are not the things that people come for. There's no other way to put it ... Jan 25, 2023
Fate/Grand Order: First Order

Fate/Grand Order and its consequences have been a disaster for the Fate series.
Let me explain: What made the original work Fate/Stay Night so entertaining were not just the references to history and mythology (and letting important figures emerging from there fight it out) but also the characters. None of them were particularly complicated but they all had something about them that made their journey fun to watch and they had great chemistry among each other. Now the big problem with FGO is that it only has half of what made FSN good. We have plenty of characters from history and mythology, but no cast that one ... Jan 23, 2023

The show is not that bad... but not that good either.
The biggest problem with this show is that the characters are only "semi-likeable"; they're not bad but not nearly as likeable as the characters in Fate/Stay Night. Sieg is a very bland protagonist, so if you didn't like Shirou in F/SN, you'll like him even less. There are just too many characters, too, with not enough time for develop them all. For what its worth, the master/servant pairing of Kairi and Mordred clicked instantly, as they both have amazing chemistry together. As far as the plot goes, it's nothing to write home about. It's about the ... Nov 26, 2022

This is the world's okayest show. The characters aren't exactly likeable but they're not terrible either. The art style and general look of the show are great but the plot is really uninspired. It's an isekai about two NEETs who participate in some kind of tournament... Nothing new to see. I will say the concept itself is interesting, as the show is about playing all sorts of games to resolve conflict which is reminiscent of early Yu-Gi-Oh! but on the flipside, this just reminds me of a better show I could watch. There is just nothing here to get attached to if you have seen
