Story
So I’m A Spider, So What? is pretty typical Isekai fair. An RPG nerd gets reincarnated as a spider and has to use her knowledge to navigate this new world. What sets this anime apart however, is the self aware nature of the show and the humor. This is a really funny show that I can see other RPG nerds that are watching it get into. I kinda wish the entire show was just focused on her, because the B plot with the other side characters is honestly kind of boring.

The art is good, though certain parts of the CGI, like boss monsters, look ...

Spoiler
As of the time of writing this, I've spent the latter part of a year watching One Piece. Now that I've got that out of the way, I can say that I understand with 100% certainty that this anime won't be everyone's cup of tea. It's incredibly long and slow, with complex world and character building. I like to call it the "Odyssey" of anime.

Character art is probably the weakest aspect of the show. Women, unless they're supposed to be "ugly" all have the same basic silhouette shape that gets boring after a whole. The men are better, they actually have varied body types. ...

Stone Ocean is a wonderfully cathartic end to the main JoJo universe that I feel like is sort of a black sheep of the JoJo manga family; it's not panned hard like certain Part 5 translations, but it doesn't get the critical reception that Part 7 does. Regardless, I think it's still worth talking about.

Personally, there's not much I can criticize here except for the dialogue and some Stand abilities. Panels can get really wordy at times and abilities seem to do an opposite King Crimson and over explain and complicate themselves. Jolyne's Stand is easy: manipulate string and punch hard. When you get ...

"Hello Japanese people we plucked off the streets, can you speak English?"

"Yeah!"

"OK, great, you're hired!"

If I were a gambling woman, I'd place money on that being the way they found the VA's for what is essentially a 30-minute long AMV intercut now and then with dialogue. I can't say I wasn't entertained, though, oddly enough. Maybe it was the music, or the way they hype up American culture and the film making process, but this just left me nostalgic and longing for a decade I wasn't even born in.

It's definitely something I would recommend if you want decent animation set to catchy pop songs ...

At the very least, the show is fun, and I certainly had a blast watching it, if nothing else. The whole thing comes to just under half an hour, so it's easy to watch it all in one sitting. The art is a little...yikes, to say the least. Needless to say, I didn't care for the terrible CGI models or the weird, N64 era bare-bones backgrounds. There are ten episodes, but every one takes place in the same 2-3 locations and 99% of them are either the sister's mansion or the beach immediately next to their mansion, which gets real repetitive real fast.

Also, there's ...

This is something I'm going to forget about after 30 minutes, so I'll leave a review to document that I actually watched it.

I feel like this was something made for the sake of being shocking, and if that's the case, then it's just...boring. If that wasn't the case, then I don't see the point. The animation and character designs are something I can only describe as being reminiscent of the CGI in Courage the Cowardly Dog. The story...isn't even a story? The characters say a thing is going to happen, there are thirty seconds of contemplation, and then the thing happens.

If anything, then this ...

Chargeman Ken is, without a doubt, one of the worst things I've ever decided to voluntarily sit down and watch.

The story is basically off the walls insane. It really is something that can only exist in an anime. My personal favorite one to show people is the episode with killer butterflies.

The best way I can describe the art is like a slightly better version of Twinkle Nora Rock Me. I say slightly better because at least the characters actually move more often. The designs aren't actually terrible, and they're probably the only thing I liked in this whole series.

Characters are wild, inconsistent ...

The Rose of Versailles is, quite possibly, one of the greatest shojo anime I have ever had the experience of watching. The story immediately grips you, even if you have no interest in historical works, because of the two fictitious characters -Andre and Oscar- there to change things up with their own dynamic impact on the French Revolution.Oscar's story in particular is amazing to watch-from her training all the way up to her leading the Royal Guards. In fact, every character plays their own role in the story, whether they be commoner or royalty, and they grow and develop as people right before your eyes. ...

With the recent Pioneer cast dub for this movie, I went back and re-watched this piece again. If you're a fan of wackier, more 'out there' Lupin stories, then this will be right up your alley. Personally, however, I don't much care for the zanier Lupin stories. The gags don't really land, and when they do, they only manage to get a small chuckle out of me. The subplot with the old woman and Lupin wasn't particularly funny or interesting, though the direction they decide to take her makes sense in the end.

The art is consistent with the Pink Jacket era of the 80s. ...

Pupa (Anime) add
I feel as if, in concept, this story could have been highly interesting and a delight to watch. An anime about a girl who turns into a horrifying flesh eating monster and her brother with regenerative powers who wants to help her as best as he can sounds like a great premise. However, what 'Pupa' does wrong is over complicate the story. The real reason for Yume being a monster is a complete 180 from the reason we're lead to believe, and all it does is serve to confuse and baffle me in the process. In the end, why couldn't this have been a simple ...
