Both Amu and Suzuko have an "outside" character that they show to the world. Their classmates think that Amu is "cool and spicy" while Suzuko is "strict". However, both heroines try to be more honest with themselves through the story. While Shugo Chara is much longer than Karakuchi Kakumei (one shot), this theme of being true to yourself runs through both mangas.

Kaze Hikaru

Kaze Hikaru is a lot less known that Kenshin, but I think KH is on equal par with kenshin, if not better. Both stories involve swordsmen in feudal Japan, and while kaze hikaru is shojo and rurouni kenshin is shonen, both have awesome fight scenes and love stories. soji and kenshin has similar personalities as well, in that they are very easygoing sometimes, but can be serious when needed. If you liked one, you will probably like the other!

Both contain love triangles, shinigami, a likeable (sorta) heroine, and both are very well done. Although one ending is more bittersweet than the other, both were highly enjoyable reads.

Both are gender-blender manga, involving the heroine masquerading as a boy and living amongst beautiful bishounen. The only difference is that in Ouran, the host club know that she is a girl (but the customers don't ^_^) and in Hana-Kimi, only a couple people know. However, both are extremely well-written and a great read!
