This is one of my favourite individual seasons of anime ever. This season is essentially what pushed Vinland saga into my favourites.
The first thing about this season is that the tone is extremely different from season one. While season one had a lot of fighting, season two starts off way slower. This season doesn’t have as much fighting as the first, it‘s a lot more character focussed. There’s way more dialouge and less action, and that’s exactly what I enjoyed.
Thorfinn is an amazing anime mc. Slowly over the course of the season, he starts to change and develops. It’s so satisfying seeing his growth
...
after the events of season 1.
Since this season started off way more chill and slow, there wasn’t much action. However, because of the lack of action, when there actually was some action, it was really hype. Season 1’s action didn’t feel as hype for me because we constantly saw it. For this season, it was a rarity, which was why it felt so much more satisfying watching it unfold.
I have to talk about episode 22 and episode 23. Those singular episodes are masterpieces in every way. The emotions, and the beauty of it all. The music, the animation, the voice acting , everything in those episodes were utter perfection. Some of the greatest anime episodes ever.
Vinland saga has changed me as a person. Witnessing thorfinn’s journey to become a better human being is something that really affected me. I know it gets memed a lot, but this phrase has genuinely changed my life. “I have no enemies.”
Go watch Vinland saga right now if you haven’t seen season one. If you’ve seen season one, then binge this season.

Alongside Re Zero, this is peak isekai. While most other isekai shows seem really dumb or stupid, and try to have their own special gimick, this is just a normal reincarnation. There isn't any being reincarnated as a sword, or being reincarnated as a vending machine. It just follows the life of a normal human in another world.
Unlike other isekai out there, this show isn't stupid. There's no overpowered MC, and the main character doesnt get a harem of twelve girls in the first episode for simply existing. Rudeus has to go through his own struggles as a character, and the trauma from his past
...
life, which most isekai don't usually explore. Usually, the main character gets transported to another world and everything goes their way, and their past life is never shown. In Mushoku Tensei, Rudeus's past life actually affects him a bit. We see glimpses of what he's been through, and it plays an important part.
One of the best things about this anime has got to be the world building. It's just such an interesting world, with so many interesting characters. A thing I love is that even though this show is focused a lot on Rudeus, everyone has their own story, and their own things going on. The story is just getting started, so don't expect anything crazy to happen just yet. Just get delved into the show, and let it amaze you.
Definitely one of the best fantasy anime.

To me, aot ended at the last episode of season 3. After that point, it just wasn’t attack on titan anymore.
Let me start by getting something straight. The plot for this season was not bad. In fact, it was actually good. However, the transition from season 3 to final season took away most of what I loved about aot. Most of the things I loved about aot was the whole tone, with people dying left and right, and humanity fighting a losing battle against titans. I also enjoyed the reveals of when a trusted ally was actually a titan all along. It’s these moments
...
that I enjoy of aot, as well as the hype. Another problem might have been the fact that season 3 part 2 was the peak of the show. The problem when a show has their peak a lot earlier than the end of the show is that everything after that peak just seems so stale. Everything that came after s3p2 felt like it didn’t hit as hard as it, and wasn’t a proper successor. I couldn’t help but compare every episode to those pure hype and emotional and mind blowing moments from s3p2. Which is why I think that if aot would have ended there, I might have liked this anime a lot more.
Now ik that a lot of things were unresolved at the end of s3p2, but if the story was written differently, the anime definitely could have ended when they saw the ocean for the first time. As I said, this season had a good plot, but just because it had a good plot doesn’t mean I found it entertaining. The amount of politics felt like a bit too much, and the whole Marley arc felt pretty dumb to me. The entire theme of the show changed, which put me off.
Now, I might have liked this season if everything that came before it didn’t exist. I went into the season preset in my mind everything I like about aot, and none of that was present here. I enjoy different shows for different things. If a traumatizing anime like re zero were to turn into a comedy, I wouldn’t like it. I’m not saying I don’t like comedy, but I just don’t enjoy it in a show like re zero. Same thing here for aot. I enjoyed them fighting titans and the big reveals and that pure hype, none of which was present here. There were a few episodes that were actually good, which prevented me from rating this season lower.
When I think of aot, I think of s1-3, because I know for a fact that this is not aot.

What else is there to say about 86? It's simply amazing, all there is to it.
This cour of 86 is very different from the second cour, focussing mainly on Shin's side of the story. The whole tone and the whole plot changes a lot, introducing lots of new characters. At first, I was a bit iffy about this. It changed a lot of what i loved about the first cour, so I was a bit worried if I was going to like it or not. But there was nothing to worry about, as I loved this cour even more than the first.
I think this season
...
is really good until the last three episodes, at which point it just becomes amazing. If it were just the first nine eps, I would have given this like an 8 out of ten. The last two episodes especially, are the best back to back episodes I've seen in any anime. The animation, the music, the directing, all of it couldn't have been better. Both of the last episodes got me really close to crying, and I've only cried at anime once. The finale to this season felt like I was witnessing Kaguya-sama's season 3 finale all over again. I know the light novel goes on, and I wish it gets adapted. Even if it doesnt though, It's fine, because the ending was amazing.
Still though... I desperately hope the light novel gets adapted. I've read a bit ahead, and it's really good. There's a lot of potential for it to be adapted properly, but another season isn't confirmed yet. If it does get confirmed, I would be so hyped.
In the end, this whole anime is amazing, and you should definitely watch it. Especially the last two episodes, which were just godly.

86 is a masterpiece. It portrays the war and drama so well, and also has a lot of hard hitting emotional moments.
there are two main characters to this story. There's Shin and Lena. Shin is an 86, a race that doesn't have silver hair and silver eyes like the "alba." And the 86 are discriminated against by the alba for the same reason that racism existed in the past. The story is about Lena, who commanding a squad full of 86, and Shin happens to be there. You see two sides of the story. One from Lena's eyes, and one from Shin's eyes. The relationship
...
that Lena makes with her squad is really enjoyable to watch, as the 86 slowly open up to her and become less hostile.
this show can also make you feel really emotional at times. Since this is about war, with the 86 piloting mechs and fighting against a force called the legion, there's bound to be people dying. It's really sad seeing these people die, as they never deserved to be put through such things. It's not just death though, there's a lot of other emotional moments for me. I won't spoil anything, but at one point Shin asks Lena "Will you remember us?" and it hit really hard. This is mainly due to Hiroyuki Sawano's amazing soundtrack (same person who made the aot ost) and the way he implements the music into the scenes. The music really elevates a lot of scenes, my favourite scene being one specific scene from episode 9 (which I wont spoil)
All in all, 86 is a masterpiece of a show with an amazing story and likeable characters. It's emotional and hits hard, and really makes you think deeply about this world that they live in. I would definetly reccomend 86 to anyone. One of my favourite anime.

Kaguya sama is my favourite anime of all time. It took a genre which I thought was terrible as a whole, and I still enjoyed it.
Kaguya sama is about two high schoolers in the student council who have feelings for eachother, but neither of them are willing to confess first. It may seem dumb at first, which is what I thought initially too. However, it’s not the part of them trying to make the other one confess that I enjoyed the most. It’s the things that happen with the student council. There are other characters in this high school, and all of them are likeable
...
(ishigami is the goat) and relatable in their own ways. Most of the time, they’re just doing random shit. While kaguya sama may not have a great story, that isn’t what it’s going for. It’s just a fun time watching this anime. It feels like you’re actually in the moment with these characters, making memories alongside them. This anime is also a very good comedy. Alongside Gintama, this is the only anime that can make me laugh consistently. This anime is just really wholesome and enjoyable. It makes you feel like you’re in high school again, and actually enjoying it this time. I would definitely reccomend this anime to anyone👍
