To me, JoJo's Bizarre Adventures is the best unintentional satire. It's full of scenes that are so extra and over the top that it's hilarious, hyper-masculinity, magic himbos, and so much the-audience-is-surely-blind type dialogue (ex. something explodes and a character will scream "Oh my golly gosh, that thing just exploded!!! Isn't that totally wild?!") that I find it difficult to see how anyone takes this seriously instead of as a comedy. Not to say it's bad if you like JoJo's as an action piece, but rather that I am here for the comedy aspect and loving it.
As many others have stated, Part 1's JoJo
...
is incredibly bland and doesn't have any depth. Part 2's JoJo definitely has more personality to him: he's a very entertaining asshole. One of his quirks is deduction and telling opponents, "Next, you'll say blah blah blah" and then the character he's fighting will say "Blah blah blah" with a fun background. It's a gag that gives Part 2's JoJo the feel of a middle schooler who just watched Sherlock and is trying way too hard to act intelligent. It definitely made me laugh a few times, but I can understand how someone could find it annoying. Villain-wise, Dio is pretty iconic, but I'm guessing that has to do with future parts, because he's a pretty one tone bad guy in Part 1. I'm still watching Part 2, so [insert villain statement here after completion].
