Definitely my favorite manga of all time. It's so sweet, a very nice and easy slice of life following this little girl and her adoptive father. Yotsuba is hilarious and honestly so relatable for a 5 year old child. Koiwai (the father) is a very good parental figure to her, and you can tell he's just trying his best as a single father who works from home. The supporting characters fit very well in the world and their interactions with Yotsuba always leave me with a smile. The art style is simple, and fits the story very well (plus Yotsuba's expressions are great).

Yandere stories aren't uncommon in this type of media, so I was expecting some messed up stuff, but I think what really bothered me the most was that it was a romance story between a high schooler and an 8 year old girl. Like, I felt like I shouldn't have owned this manga - I returned it as soon as I realized that's what it was about. She kidnaps this little girl and falls in love with her, and I read up on the Wikipedia that they end up getting married. Plus, there's sexual assault and obviously very graphic murder that happens.
