So far as 50 episodes I can't recommend this quite long anime. It's an early 20s title that many people are fond of because they watched it on the TV, and I could've been one of then but I ended up not being able to because of time constraints.
Considering how the kids in the west used to think back in the day, when these kind of titles weren't available like they're nowadays an extremely repetitive story like this one wouldn't suffer as much. After some antagonistic characters are introduced the show gets repetitive in a way that you can even start to feel like you're
...
watching Pokemon with Jessie & James flying away only to appear in the next episode, and boy it gets annoying.
If you browse online you'll see people recommending a filler guide for it, but you'll be surprised to know that there aren't much, it's more of a situation where some episodes could've been removed completely. Some episodes that look completely like fillers are even better than some cannon ones, where you see the same people doing the same things only to stupidly escape in the end.
As for my initial expectations and first impressions with the anime, it all started in a quite funny and adventurous way, at first it seemed like Rumiko Takahashi was going to use a plot strategy similar to Dragon Ball with its Dragon Spheres but for me it lost the good it could take from it after the repetitiveness I mentioned before started to go too far.
Despite the repetitiveness I mentioned earlier, there are Characters that are just awesome, at first you might not like them, but then the Author manages to give them a turnaround, and do things you wouldn't expect. It's amazing in a way that whenever you see them you know that something interesting is about to happen, and that episode will be worth to watch individually.
For the final thoughts, so far, after the repetitiveness starts the episodes that look like fillers and don't have that "Looks like that antagonistic character is close again" are very nice, but for your sake, if you start to feel like the same things are happening over and over again and nothing's advancing, if you really don't want to drop this anime, multitask. The Dubs in my native country are pretty good, despite some really weird inconsistencies like the main character being caller Agome or Nagome, for god know's the reason LOL, but browsing online I read that the English Dubs are very good too so it helps quite a lot for multitasking it.
Good luck with it, I want to go to the end, but so far I don't expect any Hunter X Hunter craziest plots out of it.

Not spoilers at all, just feeling to make it short everything I have to say.
If you get to the Post Final Climax, wishing for this series to end here, and let your beloved retire in peace, after all the bat@$ crazy things that happened, something's very wrong.
Some people didn't like the change of protagonist, but Nina is a nice girl overall, and has a exquisite situation that makes me believe that if this wasn't a Bahamutt thing, it could've been better, maybe if they simply have made a straight Spin-Off, where some fan service with recurring characters would be totally welcome, and some things were
...
better explained or proper written, it could've been a very nice Spin-Off, but for a sequel... well, all I can say is "Poor characters, they didn't deserve this".

There are works of fiction that you get to watch because of how amazing it looks like, how wonderful it sounds like or simply because you liked its synopsis, but for the first time ever, you're gonna watch this because it has the best "YAHOOOOOOOO" ever made. So far, unfortunately, I haven't spotted a Yahoo compilation on youtube and I even consider that it isn't that safe to go searching around on youtube for this work because of a few spoilers, there's even one that's on a thumbnail that is related to the last episode so be careful with that. I repeat, this is the
...
most pleasant and, at least for me, the first time I've ever felt a "Yahoo" as a natural thing, so go on and check this out in Japanese, if you hear the Yahoo and it didn't get you, The ascendance of a bookworm might not be for you, and also, don't you dare watching it in english, I haven't checked if they got the Yahooo right because I really don't care and avoid about english dubs on anime, but I don't expect it to be any better, I don't even expect it to be there to tell you the truth.
Overall I had an amazing time watching it, this anime is so easy going and heartwarming that those brats who like to shout out phrases with the word depression in it might even say that it helped them fight it, because it feels so nice that I get the feeling that it might be lighter than the novel( that I never checked), because well, it's not like I'm saying that this thing is heartwarming that this world is all rainbows and ponies. Now that I remember the world building is very slow, but it might be because of its premise, the girl is reborn in a different world without many books, so at least for me, a slow world building makes total sense, considering that we're discovering this world with the protagonist.
Now for a possible negative for this lovely Yahoooo Anime, as I stated before I haven't checked the Novel and I really don't even have plans on doing so, but at some point on the ""road" of this anime I felt a sudden bumper, that might've been caused by a sudden rush on the adaptation during the development of what the protagonist is doing, it was as if Dr. Stone made a sudden crossover into it and our girl knew how to do what she wanted all along and was trying to do it in more ancient ways, not necessarily because it was easier or more doable .
Anyway, that's it, go watch for the Yahooro and the Synopsis that I know you've liked.

I didn't check to see how involved were the creator of the series on this movie, but dude, I liked Danmachi, it was really nice to bump to this movie on Netflix, and overall it was a nice movie with stupid comedic moments, but they ruined it badly in one scene, seriously, I'm fine with how things turned out in the ending, but if that was their plan from the beginning they should have prepared the terrain first
You know that moment when you see the protagonist and he's like "I know what I gotta do", well, they gave that moment for the protagonist, but the
...
bastard was capable of doing the contrary and ended up messing everything up. I don't really have a problem with how things turned out in the ending but they shouldn't have ended it with a stupid scene like that, if they had at least given to the protagonist a little doubt and some Trial and Error, things could have turned out much better with the same results.
