Both Isekais have a prominent secondary character who is a cute beastman girl who is the MC's sword in fights and otherwise a "Must protect" character. If you loved Rapthalia from Shield hero and are a beastman/demi-human simp like me, then "Reincarnated as a sword" is a must-watch since you will see Fran, a cure cat girl wield the MC, who is a sword!

Cyberpunk: Edgerunners
add

Both shows start with the MC initially having a peaceful life until a girl who belongs to a criminal organization got the MC involved and dupes the MC. Despite all that the MC decided to join said criminal gang and the girl sort of become his love interest. Both are set in a lawless town where everyone does illegal things and there is a lot of action with gunfires, loads of killing and blood. However, Cyberpunk is way more edgier considering it have some adult content in this series. Cyberpunk also takes on a different direction halfway through its show as the MC of black lagoon remains as one of the members of the gang while the MC of Cyberpunk edgerunners takes the leader role eventually. Another difference is that while Cyberpunk is set in a Sci-Fi setting with a lot of cyborgs and tech stuff, Black lagoon is set in the near past. So if you liked Black lagoon but need more heavy action, Cyberpunk is a strong recommendation. However, Black lagoon is more "tame" in comparison so while it is a good show, it is not as edgy as cyberpunk is. But it is a good alternative for young teens though.

Both shows are Isekai's where the MC is a tamer who has a lot of slimes at his side, helping him with a lot of different tasks. Although they take very different approaches from here. My Isekai Life is your standard OP Adventurer MC protecting a town with the help of his slimes and his magic disposal while By the grace of the gods is more of a slice-of-life where the young MC settles in a town doing some mundane tasks and ends up opening up a laundry, using the slimes to wash off al the grimes from the townspeople's clothes.

The MC reincarnates into a new body in a family that has the same profession as the MC had in his previous life. In Sekai Saikou the MC is an expert assassin and in his new life, he gets the mission to assassinate the hero. In Isekai Yakkyoku, the MC is a doctor and an expert in the medical field, and he sets it upon himself to improve medicine in this fantasy world. Both shows give me similar vibes in how they introduce the characters, and how they react upon reaching the new world, living a life as the son of an aristocrat.

Both are about a mage summoning a familiar who happens to be a humanoid character. In Familiar of Zero, the mage girl is a bad student who summons the MC, a boy, from Japan to their world, making this an Isekai. In Vermeil in gold, the MC, an innocent boy with very potent mana summons a hot demon girl. Both shows are ecchi and the relationships between the summoner and the familiar can lead up to a lot of awkward moments and gain the attention of other girls and students of the respective magical academies.

Both shows have high-quality animation made by some of the best-talented staff. The source materials are incredible too as they take the isekai genre and does a lot of effort with it. They both have: -Incredible worldbuilding with well-thought-out lore and history. -Interesting cast of characters who feel real and can develop through the stories. -A well-built magic system that sticks out from the traditional formula or RPG logic. If you loved Mushoku Tensei and are looking for other high-quality Iseaki or Fantasy works, then The executioner and her way of life is a well-recommended one!

Both shows are about an MC who gets reincarnated in a new body in a different world or a future timeline. They take a really good take on the reincarnation aspect since both MCs are stuck with what they used to live as in their previous life, creating some awkward moments in the current society they live in, as they don't really fit in. So they need to learn to get accustomed to their new environment.

Both are directed by Mitsuo Iso, with Dennou coil being his first and Orbital children his 2nd work. -Both feature children characters interacting with future technology, with AR and VR in Dennou Coil and AI and Space travel in Orbital children. -Orbital children have some Dennou Coil references such as "poop" and one of the children using the same AR glasses that was featured in Dennou Coil. Some of the mystic lines seen in Orbital children resembles a lot of those lines seen in Dennou Coil as well. If you have seen Orbital Children I strongly recommend Dennout Coil. It is criminally underrated and both shows are now available on Netflix!

Both shows have their own take in a supernatural way and make it in a very good way. The characters involved encounter dangerous supernatural stuff, lost souls, and enter into a deadly "Otherside" world. -Otherside picnic is about 2 college girls who follow the occultic and creepypasta stories to actually enter the "otherside" world and actually get trapped there once. -Dennou coil is about a bunch of children playing with AR glasses, but bugs and glitches could take their consciousness out of the body and into a glitched world beyond the real world, known as the "otherside". If you like the mystery and tension in either show then you will enjoy the other one.

Both shows are about an MC that ends up living life as his/her in-game character and inside the game world itself but with major differences from what they're familiar with from when they played the RPG game by themselves beforehand. How to not summon a demon lord is however somewhat ecchi, something that is currently missing in the land of Leadale, other than that we just follow an OP MC on a grand adventure comedy with their new friends.

Saihate no Paladin
add

Both are Isekais that sticks out from many other shows. The storytelling takes our focus away from the MCs and focuses more on the worldbuilding. The authors have both spent time creating their own magical system, culture, politics and concepts as well as well-developed main characters. Also, the stories are polar opposite with Will being a paladin and have blessings from a god while Subaru is cursed with "Return by death" by a witch.

Saihate no Paladin
add

Both series are Isekais told in a more immersive way. The Main character is not any generic overpowered MC but a well-thought character with personalities and ambitions for a 2nd chance of life in a completely new world. The storytelling is written to slowly build the character development of our MC and to show us the world as well as to show us the life of the MCs and their adventures. The difference is that Mushoku tensei have a lot of NSFW stuff, especially the MC being a pervert, while The faraway paladin focuses more on overwordly stuff such as fictional religions and gods.
