I understand the first episode being a little rough, but this is really a love story between two kids that are bad at expressing themselves, and that's really because of their inexperience. There really isn't any dom/sub stuff here because both characters have their own flaws, which is rare for anime of this genre I suppose. I'd like to point out if you compare episode one to the upcoming final episode you will see the character progress sprinkled, its not overwhelming or anything, but it is there. This series showcases youth. What it means to grow up without the experience of how to handle certain situations. We were all like that in one way or another, but of course everyone is different. So I can understand why someone would drop after the early chapters. But I'd like to point out, that the 1st chapter displays the flaws of the characters to the audience, so that the reader can view how much they've grown throughout the story.
