Basically a fighting show and nothing more, the graphics are nice and the fights very good but the good ends there.

I knew what I was getting into but even if they started it out nice it all fell apart quick, the MC:s reason for being there to the end are just illogical in every sense of the word. If you want a good furrie show watch Beastars instead.


*SPOILER ALERT*

They threw in a rape at the end for no good reason to the story, also cliffhanger and as far as I can see no second season as of yet (2020) so with that in mind I'm ... giving it really low scores.

I will now erase all memories of this thrash from my mind.

Sorry first review and to be truthful it is ONLY to contradict "TheDeedsOfMen" who gave it a 2. I disagree with pretty much everthing he/she says. I would give it an 8 for pure pleasure alone without going deep.

It just...gets to you, I just ditched Date a Live for the third time and that was also supposed to be a show where you "turn of our brain" but god I couldn't stand the rince and repeat of it all. Gate: Jieitai Kanochi nite, Kaku Tatakaeri was also supposed to be like this so I didn't have any special expectations but sh-t were I in ... for a surprise.

Characters are fleshed out in a good but not over the top way, music (especially GATE Ost 01 Kanochi nite ~ Main Theme was frekkin epic!) Art style is really good and the story got me hooked even if it wasn't Oscar quality it did it RIGHT.


Just watch the first 5 minutes of the first episode, if you don't like it then fine leave it there DAGA...if you like those 5 minutes..

God you are in for a ride ^^
