To start things off watch the show first before watching this. This is not the best jumping on point as I learned when I watched it. So bearing that in mind my review may be biased as I have no see the show. But in any case let’s begin.

Story: The story is generic at best about to undercover badass people protecting a mafia tattoo girl from being assassinated. The way the events play out are very predictable and has nothing to engage you into the story, at points they even brush by important scenes for the characters involved making it dull and irritating to watch. ... If you want a stereotypical undercover yakuza story with a sci-fi twist then you can watch this and forget it the next day.

Characters: The characters bored me and even irritated me. The two adult leads are dull as anything. The only thing interesting about them is their relationship but it’s barely covered though it might be in the show. I know they are probably from the show because when ever they said their name their was a pause like the audience is meant to gasp in excitement. Then the girl was just a brat who constantly got on my nerves with her constant yells especially in the dub. The villain isn’t that interesting very clutches moustache twirling villain.

Animation and Sound: Now this is where this movie excels. Although its 3D it fits very well with what they wanted to give us. Cool action scenes. The action was just awesome with how they handled the 3D and the camera during action scenes. Due to the fact the antagonists are ninja the action was unique with each of the fights presented. However I found the music to be very generic with none of it making me hyped for the action nor for the events that took place.

This is just generic with the story, characters and music. The only thing that can be seen as great or ‘unique’ are the fight scenes. So if you want to watch a generic sci-fi movie then you can watch this for the cool action. Or you could just watch ghost the in the shell a great sci-fi movie with breath fight scenes.

How can I say this. This anime is absolutely hilarious. All throughout it's 10 episodes it had me laughing my lungs out to the point off tears all while covering some relatable problems in an office job and in relationships.

The story itself is rather formulaic it follows Retsuko and her stressful problems in the office space as well as her interactions with the people in said office space. Retsuko herself is amazing due to the fact that she embodies something that a lot of people have, pent up stress. She also handles jobs and events that stress her out and a lot of other ... people as well. In simple terms she's incredibly relatable all while being absolutely hilarious.

All the other characters are joys to be around as well Fenneko being that person who constantly goes online and makes a lot of dark jokes while still being funny. Then there is Washimi and Gori people who from first sight seem to be perfect at the first sight but once you spend time with them you find out they are having almost the same problems. And then there is Haida that person that tries his best to make everyone happy before himself all while having a cute crush on Retsuko. All the characters have something to them to make them believe they are real people, for me I know a lot of people who act just like the characters making them even more believable.

The music itself is pretty good especially the rock sections that are played by Retsuko due them being funny to listen and the lyrics being funny for the situation Retsuko found herself in. The animation being nice but nothing that I would call to be outstanding but for a series such as this that's okay. The voices of all the characters are great especially in the dub with them really making the comedy work with their deliveries. Then there is the art style being the most unique thing about this show and what makes it work. The fact that they are all chibi animals experiencing these real life struggles makes all the more appealing to watch and enjoy.

Overall this shows first season is amazing. With it being relatable with many people with the characters struggles and the characters themselves as well as the comedy this show is a blast to watch.

This was one of the series I was interested in seeing due to the fact it was a Chinese production so I wanted to see how well it was done. And I'm glad to say I was pleasantly surprised with how it turned out. Although it does have some thing that hold it back I think it's sufficient to start off with.

The story follows Xie Lian as he is ascended yet again as a God but only as a scrap collector doing mission involved with ghost like beings who stay on Earth due to grudges from when they were alive. And it's his job to ... capture them. The premise itself is okay as it leads on to tell interesting stories of the ghosts but from the show it only comes out okay in my opinion with many of the grudges being rather generic. However it does evolve as it goes into the Gods pasts when they were mortal and shows how not all of them are good with some being corrupt.

This is one problem I have with the series, the world is okay but it feels like there is so much to be explained about it but due to the episode count some of the worldbuilding feels rather rushed with some of it feeling unexplained. For some instances I feel like I know nothing about the majority of the Gods as well as the world they inhabit, we get a couple scenes of the landscape but apart from that we know nothing. And sadly that goes to the main character as well, because it feels like he has an interesting backstory but we only see glimpses of it. I just hope that this gets a sequel so the questions I have can be answered.

For the characters Xie Lian is a fun lead with him being fairly smart and experienced meaning he's a joy to watch while he solves the mystery's of the ghosts, all while having very fun comedy bits as well as having some cool powers. There are two people that support him and have a rivalry with one another about how there respective Gods are better, but apart from that they are rather forgettable and only really there to question our protagonist. And then there is Hua Cheng, his chemistry with Xie Lian is a joy to watch along with their relationship growing with some heart warming moments. He's portrayed to be a rather tragic character with many people being afraid of him due to his power as a Ghost King, however behind that title he can see someone who just feels lonely and ashamed of his title. Overall I really love the duo of Xie Lian and Hua Cheng while everyone else could be better.

The music is on point with the OP and ED sounding absolutely beautiful with amazing artwork shown. The soundtrack to is great with many pieces sounding absolutely amazing.

And the art style is perfect really showing off the backgrounds as well as characters features making it a stunning anime to watch. While the animation for me was okay with nothing being spectacular nor disappointing.

Overall it's a very fun show to watch but with what we have it's only okay for me. However if we get more of this world and it's characters in a second season then I believe it can be a great show.

When I watched the series I thought it was an okay series with nothing really sticking with me, but I still enjoyed myself nonetheless with it. However when I watched this movie I was puzzled with the choices they made with the film and ended up heavily disliking the movie.

The story follows Afro and he goes after Sio and Jinno his old childhood friends after they steal both his no1 headband and his father's body. So as a result Afro goes across the land to get his father's body back and his no1 headband back. Without the first half Afro wants to stay his ... hands of blood after realising he has only made a cycle of hatred which will repeat. I thought this was a welcome change from the series to give the character something to him, rather than just 'I want revenge so I kill everyone in my way'. However this does not last, as he then starts killing again and this is where the movie lost me. Afro just went back to what he was and gets no development meaning I still don't care about him.

The antagonist are by far the worse part of the film. Jinno just shows up and we get no flashback on how him and his sister met u again nor do we get to see what happened at he end of the series, it feels like we're just meant to forget that and just belive Jinno was always this silent character. And Sio is bizarre to me. She has a sympathetic backstory of wanting revenge and it's clear we're meaant to feel bad for her. But then couple scenes later she acts like a crazy lady and getting pleasured by suffering and all that. It makes no sense for how they set her character up so by the end I didn't care for neither antagonists. But the ending was really bad with these two characters making a choice that makes no sense for either of their characters.

For me the music was okay it's basically the same as the series with no evolution to it. And the animation was pretty subpar, in moments it was good like in group fights but apart from that most the fights felt the same as the series.

Overall I can't understand how so many people like this movie and gave it a good score. Because for me it has so many glaring issues when it comes to the story and character's that I couldn't enjoy the film.
