Preemptive TL:DR: very good or extremely bad, depending on your tastes. Like simple romance manga? Give this a try. Don't like repetitive plot points? Better pretend you were never here.
It's classic romance manga where the male and female lead for no particular reason are extremely drawn to one another. The attraction not having a good reason is very forgivable in my opinion — if you're reading a story about a delinquent who randomly starts hanging out at a random guy's house 24/7, you shouldn't expect fully realistic romantic development.
Once the premise is well established slowly the romance does develop. Most of the short chapters lead
...
up to a single embarrassing moment which can get old, but depending on your taste it can also be cute or funny. Overall the story does progress and in my opinion has enough entertaining plot points or characters to be worth reading.
--- (Predictable) spoilers from this point on ---
Until chapter ~130 I would give the manga an 8 or so, it's entertaining enough for my tastes. However, at some point repeating the same thing in a different form does get old. They've implied or outright said they love each other ~40 times right now, yet the guy is still oblivious and the girl somehow can't just ask him out.
I'm currently at 171 chapters. Before they started almost confessing every other chapter I liked the story quite a bit, but by now it's become too repetitive even for my tastes. Still, if you can handle some forced situations and enjoy simple romance this is definitely worth checking out.

Reviews on MAL are so opinionated I usually try to stay far away from the review section. However, watching Danmachi III frustrated me so much I need to vent somewhere - as every other reviewer also fails to provide an objective analysis this is the perfect place. Anything past this point may be a mild spoiler, although I made sure not to be specific.
The main reason this anime frustrated me to no end was the bad plot devices. There was one group in this season that could be classified as evil, and they were dealt with fairly early on. After that, the plot is only
...
about one faction being seen as evil even though they're not, and trying to keep this faction safe. The whole time they could prove they aren't evil pretty easily and pretty much all reasonable people would at the very least accept a ceasefire, but no, the author reserves to right to make any character temporarily brainless just to keep the plot going. So they don't prove anything, no one else listens to reason, and the anime happens.
Other than this everything feels dragged out - the last episode is a completely random and unnecessary addition (although when it comes to action and animation it is the only good episode). Like I said before, characters consistently pick the worse option because the plot must happen. Everyone is black and white. If the masses see you as the biggest scum there is but then you fight a monster? Boom, favourite hero. Of course this also applies the other way around.
Some more classic action/fantasy anime pet peeves that appear a lot:
- Strategy? Completely abandoned whenever a random new plot point is added.
- MC loses against weaker foes then somehow fights on par with the strongest enemy introduced yet.
- Forced misunderstandings: basically, one character will say they like pears and then another will disagree for the unrelated fact that purple is a colour.
- The MC is seen as a special person with certain righteous beliefs that should be common sense. The goal is to get you to relate, but the result is you end up hating everyone else.
- People randomly being other places. Running somewhere? Bam, ambush. Would there have been time to prepare one? No, but plot must happen!
- Time not consistent. Oh, this things happened in place X? Dang, well if we take into account the time it took for that news to reach us, how long it takes to prepare an intervention team and to travel there we should be there... Pretty much instantly after it happened. Right?
- Someone has a certain opinion A. Small thing happens which probably happens all the time enforces opinion B. Big thing that's a momentous breakthrough enforces A. And of course the character now believes B, because reason doesn't exist...
- Someone else has opinion B. Said big breakthrough enforcing opinion A doesn't change their mind, but something much more minor relatively does...
- Power levels all over the place. A will easily overpower B, only for B to then easily fight A along with two others... No powerups or explanation, just 'cause.
- Same thing basically, overpowered characters could catch an arrow with a glare yet an underpowered character will be able to slip away because... Why exactly?
- The list goes on, but I'll stop here. If you have some pet peeves of your own please message me, let's talk shit of bad tropes together.
Main problems are with story and characters (and indirectly my enjoyment). Animation felt worse than before but that's not really a problem imo. Nothing special about the sound. I thought episodes were shorter than before (bigger outro) but could just be me. I got the impression this anime was only made to cash in on the success of the previous seasons, definitely wouldn't recommend.

Generally I really like series that have an insanely OP lead, because they usually make for some cheap and simple entertainment. This show did the very opposite of entertaining me, and from my own experience I would give it a 3. However, I realised I watched a very shitty sub so, assuming the original version and other subs have coherent sentences, I'll raise that to a 5. On to the actual review.
Story: 3
The idea is pretty good, but the execution is terrible. The story is completely filled with plot holes and irrational decisions just to move the story forward: Let's seal this defeated demon king
...
up under a school, yep that sounds like a great decision. Oh, and let's use him as an entrance exam! Great way to show how OP the MC is - but WHO THE FUCK would ever do that. A teacher of the opposing school almost killed a student who then literally disappears before their match in some kind of tournament? Sucks for you, guess that opposing school is going to win because that's definitely not something they'll be disqualified for, or the tournament will be cancelled for. Nope, the show must go on or our dumb plot wouldn't work out. There's a bunch more dumb shit like this, so if you're easily annoyed by randomly pushing the plot forward, you're in for a treat.
Characters: 4
The MC's main 'thing' is that he either doesn't want to or can't use his insane powers - which, IMO, is a weird call. The main attraction of a show with an OP lead is that character being badass - making him do nothing whenever he could do something to help is uhm, not a great way to make a likeable character.
Apart from this, character development isn't nonexistent. A total of 4 characters have some kind of character development (the side characters definitely don't). Some of this is decent, but there's so much irrational forced behaviour that it still doesn't deserve a passing grade. Especially when some girl completely falls in love because a dude touches her hair deserves an award in this category. No, I'm not talking a crush, she'd die for him. Yeahhhh, sure.
Art: 7
Nothing special, but definitely not bad either. I'm honestly not too good at ranking the art, but it didn't bother me.
Sound: 7
Personally, I am not used to Chinese yet, which made the sound somewhat annoying for me. Disregarding my very subjective opinion about that though, the sound is , just like the art, not bothersome but also nothing special.
Enjoyment: 4
At the end of the 13th episode I'd have given enjoyment a solid one, but the ending was actually pretty cool so it ended on a good note: +2. I also raised it with one more because I probably found the most infuriating sub there exists for this series.
Overal: 5
I definitely did not enjoy watching this series. If you're into OP characters, consider if one somewhat epic scene at the end is worth suffering through 14 episodes for. If you're not at all bothered by weird rationale and a plot that just does whatever, you might as well give this a shot. If you don't speak Chinese definitely do take your time to find a decent sub though...

Ok, before anyone reads this review I just want to say this:
I don't think any better of this show than anyone else who wrote a review about this anime, but I simply have a different way of rating it. The existence of the show and the things being shown actually being comprehensible make it worth a rating of 5, together with the fact that I don't really feel sorry for watching this.
On to the real review. If you enjoy criticizing people, or anime, or both (like I do), I highly recommend this anime to you. Thinking of everything the protagonists could have done in a
...
less stupid way may actually make you feel better about yourself. Because they suck. For example, what do you do when a group of mad girls finds you while you're talking to another girl? Of course, you pick her up and run! While looking the wrong way of course, so you can bump into yet another girl.
IS2 consists of 2 repetitive scenes, the ecchi scenes (AKA Ichika seems brainless scenes) and the battle scenes (AKA Ichika seems brainless scenes). In the first mentioned, Ichika is talking to a girl who ends up blushing, and he either says something stupid, or the other girls show up. The result: They're mad, he doesn't understand, not even if their reason is legit. I do think the characters have their defining features, but when they need to decide on something it's shown that the not-fighting scenes are nothing but a vessel for the fan service. There always is some dumb mistake/decision from one of the parties, which always results in some embarrassment, escaping, which leads to more of the same. Typical fan-service only scenarios.
For the fighting scenes, I'll explain some basic rules of the series which will probably make my point clear. They fly around. They scream. It usually ends with Ichika pushing the enemy with the flat side of his sword, to... push them. I guess he doesn't know swords work better when swinging them. Not introduced fighters are weaker than anybody else. Ichika is shown to be very weak in training, but everyone depends on him. And by the way, if all girls need to be together around Ichika, they can teleport. Or something like that. I don't know.
About the story: It does exist. There is a storyline, and one of the baddies has some vague motive for being angry. The problem is, everything is too far-fetched. When you want to kill someone, you don't shoot them once and believe they are dead. If you find out there's a bomb on a train, a timer doesn't pop up automatically at exactly 30 minutes, which is the exact remaining time until detonation. When you die, you don't dream about being strangled by your sister. Anime doesn't have to be possible, but this was too much. Too bad these are exactly the things IS2 tries to link their story together.
So, my conclusion. The series do have some fun theories in them, and sometimes you might find something to laugh about. You do need to be able to find entertainment in tiny details, in comparing stupid people to yourself, or in watching things even you could do better. If you can't do these things, stay away from this show.

After reading about Mars of Destruction in a "Top 10 worst..." and in some reviews, I decided to see for myself how bad it really was. And believe me, it was bad, although I had expected worse.
As a lot of others say, the plot is almost non-existent, but there actually is one. And, I also had expected the animation to be a lot worse. Here are some negative and less negative things about this OVA.
The story.
At one point in the anime, the story just seems to randomly hop around from one situation to the other, but before that you're actually provided with some kind of
...
explanation. And after most confusing situations, you get some kind of explanation. It's not much, but it's enough to see the link. It's a bit like this: There are stones, so there are monsters, so there are heroes.
The art.
The anime doesn't have very good art, but it could be a lot worse. The animation as well, somehow seems to flow without a lot of strange robotic movements.
The sound.
I think it's very strange if your head is blown up and you don't even make the slightest noise. The characters don't seem to know what kind of sound people usually make in a life-threatening situation, which makes a very strange impression. The monsters' sounds also sound really weird. The quality of the sound is just like the art: it could be a lot worse.
The characters.
As far as I know, the anime has only introduced the main hero, after he randomly showed up in some fight. For some unexplained reason he is the only one able to wear a very powerful suit which makes him just a little less weak than everyone else. Usually in an anime you want to follow what the main character does, or maybe another character, but here they just randomly appear. Those things and the fact that nobody really has a personality make all characters really boring.
Some other things that were a bit strange:
- I didn't know we had plasma guns here.
- Being shot at is not a reason to completely blow up.
- A lot of stuff just wasn't explained.
- At the end of the anime, it's like they want to teach us something. Only, it doesn't make sense.
Overall, I don't think this anime deserves higher than a 2. The reason I didn't choose for a 1, is that some things are bad, but they do exist. There is a story, things move, they produce sounds, and there are things you could call people. And, there actually is a reason to watch it, because with the right mood you can enjoy this anime, because it's random as... I don't know if there's a word for it.
This is my first review, but I hope it can be a bit useful to some people. If you don't like a random story, then stay away from this OVA! I wrote my first review for this one because I thought it would be impossible even for me to make it less clear than the anime itself (We'll see).
