This anime has beautiful animation, the music is great and very fitting. But personally I felt there was a lack of story, as well as the main character (Kou) being the most boring character I think I've ever witnessed. In my opinion? Nazuna carried this show.
But I think my main issue with this show is the age-gap. Now before you start saying "Oh but she's a vampire so its fine!!". I don't think it is. She is 40, mentally she doesn't act it at all, physically of course she doesn't look it. But she has been around for 40 years. And then we have

Kou, a 14 year old. Now I wouldn't mind their relationship if it was innocent and more of a friendship. But sadly that is not the case.
They really had to go and pair together a 14 year old and a (technically) 40 year old. I tried ignoring this fact throughout watching the anime, but its basically impossible due to the fact every other character is calling him a "kid".
I don't know why they couldn't have just made Kou a 20 year old who's never experienced love. I think that makes the age difference more acceptable.
But I'm sorry I really cannot sit here and not be at least slightly disturbed by the fact that she's technically 40, drinks alcohol, and every other character see's her as a grown woman. Sure she's extremely immature and I could entirely believe her character is 14. But she just isn't.
What makes it worse is how sexual Nazuna is, even if jokingly so. Even the outro song is extremely suggestive. Let me show you some examples: "I mean first time I rode you was 14" "Showed me your naked body" "Sipped on booz I've never had" "Openly an adult now". Yes these are the actual lyrics. And its just perverse in my opinion.
I don't dislike this anime, but I don't love it. It just makes me feel a bit uncomfortable, it leaves a bad taste in my mouth. Nazuna is a great character in my opinion, I truly like her, mostly because I find her character relatable. But she is basically grooming Kou.
