Both anime are done in almost a shoujo/josei style that also does well in drawing in a male audience with gaming being the premise and romance the theme. I'd say that while both anime find their niche being game based, either demographic can enjoy these charming romances, so long as they can get past the premise. Over all, I'd say that Yamada no koi is more friendly to those not as experienced with gaming, and while gaming is a theme in the show, it isn't all too centric to the plot, and not much time is spent in-game. A non-gamer will have an easier time understanding and relating to the content in Yamada no Koi than Net-Juu. Both share a slightly shoujo take on an otherwise male dominated theme that just about anyone who enjoys romance can get behind.
