Both manga have a strange vibe. Both include a female character that you are unsure about, you don’t know what their motives are, and who try to escape normal life through unconventional means, and who drags a male character along with them in that endeavour.

If you liked K-On! add

...then you might like Hanasaku Iroha add

Both anime have a bit of a calming vibe, Hanasaku Iroha less so. They are also both slice of life and revolve around making friends as a teenager.

If you liked Kimi ni Todoke add

...then you might like Ore Monogatari!! add

Kimi ni Todoke and Ore Monogatari are similar for the sheer impenetrability both main couples have to rumours and malicious intent. They're both extremely sweet couples that have loyal, true friends backing them from evert corner. Their love for each other never wavers, and they never turn their attention to someone else. From a person's standpoint who has just recently gotten into watching anime on a regular basis, anime that involves two people that devotedly, and innocently love each other in the way that the two main couples do from these shows is rare among the romantic genre of anime.
