I fucking love this stupid manga.

I think it probably gets a lot of bad rep for having annoying characters but I think their annoyingness is cancelled out by how realistically the characters interact with each-other and the story progresses.

I don't like this super fan-servicy style of manga but this one has been a big exception for me because of how well the humour is written and how little the fan service moments detract from the comedy and meat of the story, which is a relatively simple, but still enjoyable romance between a girl and her childhood friend.

I particularly like the obligatory confession scene, because it ... came harder than expected. I don't want to spoil anything, so I'll just say that it's handled a lot better than most romance manga handle their obligatory confession scenes. it's very sudden in a straight-forward, realistic way.

I'd say the worst thing about this manga is the side-characters that don't add anything to the main plot. Also this terrible hobby of Sakurako that sprung up in chapter 4 that fortunately doesn't return again (if I were you, I'd just skip that chapter entirely)

the main characters are all likeable in my opinion, and the art is well done, too (if you care about that stuff)

if you don't like romcoms with emphasis on the com, and slight neutering on the rom, maybe skip this one

I love ts but holy lord, every character is an overly saccharine bundle of honey, always apologising for shit that doesn't matter or thanking profusely for holding the door open for them. the manga's a fun read but you'll have to accept that this doesn't take place on Earth, it takes place in the fuckin halmark christmas universe where no one's an asshole in any way, at all. even kaoruko's kikyo friends come around eventually. if this manga had a few characters that acted like fucking human beings once in a while it'd be a bit easier to read with eager eyes. but some of ... the chapters drag on for pages of reminiscing all the times robot A was there for robot B and how thankful robot A is to robot B for everything robot B did, and then robot B would say "no, it was all you, A-chan!". my head's getting dizzy from all the rolling my eyes are doing.
so that's my verdict... two eye rolls stacked on top of each other out of ten.
