I totally understand why people are giving this show such a hard time for the animation but I'm sure we can all agree that there's been worse out there. This was my first time watching an anime with this kind of animation and even I had to admit it was hard to get used to at first but after a while, you do get used to it. But enough about the animation I overall really liked the show. It had my attention and it was hilarious but my issue with it is that it was so ridiculously short to the point where there was no ... chance to really have a connection with the other characters. With only about 15 mins and 5 episodes, what can you REALLY learn about ANY character that shows up? Each episode made sense to be easygoing and showing the daily life of a former yakuza but it never goes into detail about anyone's past. It gets mentioned by Miku in a scene where it reminded her about how she met Tatsu but it never went further than that. I feel like they could have done so much more with the source material that's been out and made longer episodes and more of them too. Not that I know how many volumes of the manga are out and I know by doing this there may not have been a chance for a 2nd season but from what I've seen this is what made people the most disappointed considering there was no chance to really know anything about anyone in the show. This show had a lot of people have high expectations for it just to let a lot of them down. I'm really curious about how they're going to go about with the 2nd season considering all the negative feedback about the show but hopefully, they'll change things up, but since we're talking about Netflix here it's just highly unlikely.

After reading the 1st volume I really did enjoy it. The villainess Iana is trying her best to not only change people's view of her but also she's trying to avoid her own death flags since EVERYONE in the novel she wrote loves the female lead Konoha who is her older sister. The thing that keeps you wanting to read it is how she's going to avoid these death flags considering her change in personality is changing the story and giving her a bit of unwanted attention from her would-be assassin. The only thing that I don't like about this manga is the female lead ... of the novel the villainess wrote. She is a very needy character that is ENTIRELY ungrateful for her sister's sacrifices for her. A bit of a spoiler but Iana was injured trying to protect her but when Konoha's fiancee shows up she thanks him and not once did she really thank her sister and on top of that she has no issue showing off her relationship in front of her either. My issue with that is because Iana loves him in her own way considering she wrote him as a character of her ideal man and she wrote the entire novel with the idea of her reincarnating as a female lead. I'm going to keep reading this manga because Iana is my favorite character and the butler too but as of right now Konoha is my least favorite character. I hope that in the 2nd volume she at least acknowledges the fact that Iana is trying to protect her even though she's doing it to avoid triggering her own death flags.

I highly recommend this to anyone who is a fan of yaoi manga! The story is great and so are the characters! It's very sweet and cute that you just can't help but enjoy it. Each character has such a unique personality and their fair share of problems that they all overcome and gets resolved in a great way. I was nervous about this manga since it was only 1 volume that some things might end up unresolved with a character but it was wrapped up nicely and the author didn't just force the ending which was great. I hope when you read it for ... yourselves that you'll enjoy it as much as I did!(:

Okay so this is only my second Chinese anime that I've watched and I dropped the first one I watched like a hot potato. This one caught my attention and I watched the entire thing in a day because 1) it was short 2) my anger and curiosity over what was going to happen next got the best of me. I have to admit I think this show was kinda good I never read the actual story yet, but I will get to it. When I first read this description I was curious and watched the show, but the characters kept on getting me mad ... by the way they kept acting it was ridiculous and the main guy I just couldn't tell for the life of me if he actually liked the girl because of his actions and poker face and normally I can tell even if they act like jerks, but the entire time I kept questioning angrily whether he liked her or not. The characters actions were beyond annoying, but I think pure curiosity is what kept me going with this show, but I suggest waiting until the second season comes out in May because they left off on a huge cliffhanger and now I'm just confused and angry about the ending. But yes I will watch the second season because I need to know what happens.
