SPOILERS AHEAD BRO
Now to warn, I've picked up the manga right about halfway through Season 2, and may I just say the art in this manga is amazing in comparison.
This story manages to entertain throughout most of the story in a way I don't see in other stuff within the harem genre. It's truly surprising when something in this genre actually manages to feel unique.
A man brute forcing via logicless emotion towards getting what he wants.
A lot of the emotional payoffs are done well, except at the very end. The final arc coinciding with Shino's adding as the third girlfriend and Saki's final
...
acceptance of the circumstances felt weirdly, how should I say... realistic? At least for this story and it's world.
Saki's emotions are actually given quite a lot of room to breathe and the dialogue feels oddly realistic with the just constant unknowing of one's own emotions. Her resolution is also believable. Shino being accepted is believable.
Up to here everything feels perfect.
But the final battle arc just feels as thought there is little reason to actually take it in as real.
I can see Naoya liking Mirika, at least I can suspend my own feelings about such a character. But the acceptance Saki gives, unlike Minase who's lived with her for so many months, and her long time real life best friend Shino, feels completely out of place.
Mirika has outright acted completely antagonistic or insane towards most of the remaining cast and I don't know how the "I love that someone I love is feeling happy" reasoning would apply to her
I can't see in my mind how Saki would switch up her entire thought process because of the rushed "Mirika has lots of subscribers bro" conclusion.
I think with a little more time to breathe it would make sense, 10-20 extra chapters would probably have allowed the full completion of the cycle. But the author seemingly had to rush after the Shino adding. Mirika changing her mind also seems a little weird but I guess under the circumstances what choice does she have.
Overall, very good story, has it's issues and if you're not into general shameless degenerate fun, then this is not for you. It should satisfy everyone else though. I'm just sad it goes from one of the most compelling powerful moments to sort of flubbing a bit at the end with something I don't take in as believable.
Shino best girl.

I am just shocked that this is so damn good. The scenarios from episode to episode are entertaining and unlike most episode of the week stuff they very often include connections to previous/future incidents. Extremely well animated and extremely fun in general. Especially if you're here for the reason I think you might be. The final episode was also an extreme blast. This show manages to introduce you to all of its bajillion characters by the end of it's runtime while also giving them each distinctive personalities. It also goes way more into the whole Ninja thing than you might expect if you're here for

just fanservice. But trust me, it has everything. Similar excitement to being a new anime fan and watching a good show feeling dopamine coming out every single episode. Partially because a lot of what happens feels unique and not like other stuff that would happen in other anime. Now have to check out the author's other works. Don't sleep on this.

Now when you see the OP and in general any promo art for this show, I bet you think "Wow, just another Isekai trash show to fill up the season"
You're only half right. On first impression, to anyone without patience this could be discarded as another half baked generic show that no one would care about. But as time goes on as a patient viewer with no much else to do, this show grows on you incredibly.
The quality goes up with each episode and over time you start seeing some actually pretty cool scenes between all the characters. There is a genuine passion behind the
...
show even if it's art style is not dissimilar to hentai at some points.
They tackle certain philosophies about killing others towards the end and have quite a few moral dilemmas questioned throughout the show only to have a pretty nice reveal at the very end. While the female characters have the look of a throwaway cast, they do actually each have a relatively more fleshed out backstory compared to many other shows.
Overall this is an underdog show that connected with me and one i'll root for. Watch it if you have the time, it might just impress you. Quite impressed and surprised it got a season 2, plan on reading the manga after.

I watched the first Fate Grand Order OVA and thought it was Meh. This is truly a step down from my already lowered expectations. A small action scene at the start with better animation than the last OVA gave me hope. Only for that hope to be crushed with a nearly 20 minute exposition scene followed by an ok action scene and then followed by more exposition. This is terrible. I don't reccomend anyone watches this. I finished it purely for the completion factor but if you do this to yourself with this knowledge you might be a masochist. Fate Grand Order's story in the

mobile game has always been boring to me but seeing this animated is even more boring than the mobile game. So much talk of terms that will never be relevant, explaining various things that don't need to be explained for the OVA. There is so much exposition and no delivery on anything relevant to it. I can't believe this was made.

I'd like to first clarify that this is a review of only the first movie. I have not seen the rest yet, but I will. Code Geass is my #1 favorite anime series but this OVA was unbearable to watch. I never knew I could watch a 50 minute movie in which NOTHING happens. By the end of it there isnt even really a goal established unless you want to speculate. This might as well have been a jumble of random boring scenes that just barely matter. The only thing we know about the protagonist so far is that he's Japanese and pretty edgy. The
...
other character who I cant bother to remember the name of, has basically only been shown as some Neo Euphemia with an arranged marriage dilemma. It's not inaccurate to say that almost nothing happens in this movie and almost anything that does, doesn't seem to matter. I acknowledge that a lot more can be established with the limited stuff they've shown but the first movie is an introduction to Akito the Exiled and as an introduction it falls flat to create any interest in the story. I had to try to watch this 3 times before finally breaking through the boredom and completing it. But yeah, not very good. Probably the most boring anime i've layed my eyes on.

Now let me tell you, you uncultured swine. This film is far too deep for any of you to understand. You thought Evangelion was a deep anime with thought provoking moments? Guess what, this film brings upon a new standard of advanced anime that no one has ever seen before. Simply comprehending it is impossible for your simplistic minds to see it's true greatness. Sayuri manages to speak on all controversies at once and fully explain the objective right answer to each one. Sorry peasents, but you're going to have to look at this 20 more times before seeing it's true beauty.

I have no moral gripe with this series, i'd like to get that out of the way. A series can still flourish with all sorts of controversy such as Loli and Incest, Monogatari is one of my favorite shows. But this show is completely filled with abhorrent (((QUALITY))) animation, cringy reused tropes, episodes with no plot progression, lazy writing and more. One of my major problems with it is that the fan service scenarios are so unbelievable that it breaks your immersion. This could be solved if it were a self aware comedy but the most humor you'll get out of these scenarios is "xd
...
she isnt wearing panties". Almost every girl in the series that loves Masamune (almost all of them) has nearly no reason to and makes every confession look out of place and forced. I have watched my fair share of Harem and Ecchi but this series laughs at their attempts to create unjustified love for the main character. The fanservice in this series isn't limited to sexual imagery, the fan service comes in the form of watching Mary Sue 12 year old billionaires fall in love with the main character for NO reason so the watcher can project their pathetic life onto the main character and feel that one day it may happen to them. My MAL rating of a 4 is almost completely based on my enjoyment due to the cringe and shock of watching this series. This series is terrible but I would still watch it again just to see how trash a story can become. The only redeemable quality besides that is the studio's ability to put in Screenshottable and Gifable moments into the series. If I was judging this series based on that it would probably be the best one i've ever seen. Their voice acting was also pretty decent and the OP/ED were well done. If you've read this far, thanks for reading the ramblings of some teenager on the internet.
