Splashyyy's five-sentence-reviews! This time: Combat Continent

Mediocre, generic story of a boy that trains himself to protect the ones he holds dear.
The best thing about this chinese Manhua is the art, too bad the characters seem rather shallow and generic, a perfect fit for the story though.

Combat Contient is not bad, but it isn't great either. I read this on and off during the times I find nothing better to read. I highly don't know why this series had such a high rating, but I feel like reading the Novels is most likely the better choice if you want to engage in this story.

Girls of the Wild's is a martial arts manga about a guy called Jae Gu, who found a high school close to his home to attend - Wild's High. Little did he know, that the school is famous for their especially talented martial arts students. In addition to that, the school also just became co-ed, and somehow he is the only guy attending it, making his life not really easy.

My review won't be too long, but here are the main things I enjoyed, and the ones I didn't.

Character development is close to nonexistent. The MC is undergiong a major change within the first 80 chapters ... or so, but the rest of the major people stay the same.
The story itself in the beginning is rather enjoyable, but falls off rather quickly, especially in the ''second season'', which consists of the last 60 chapters.
Especially the ending is, even though you romance fans might ship it, to be quite blunt, trash. There are so many things, that got taken up during the buildup earlier, which aren't even mentioned anymore.
All in all, the story feels forced the further you read through it, and it doesn't satisfy me as I hoped it would.

The art on the other hand is georgeous. The drawings are well done, I personally really like the art style. The characters have a lot of drawn character and are well designed as well.

The overall rating is a weak 4, art is only a fraction of a good manga, and the rest just doesn't life up to my expectations.
