I have fallen in love this this artists work for over a year now. I only found out they have a manga out today. The story line right now follows a couple who are spicing things up in the bedroom, where Yuki is discovering how to be dominant over her boyfriend who is discovering his submissive side. I am in love with the art style, but obviously it may not be for everyone. The characters are cute and unique later on in the story as well. Overall, I enjoy this manga, its not like the artists typical work, it's almost more wholesome, and I can't ... wait for more chapters!

I expected to much more from this and I dont know why. The first 25 min was a full season 1 recap, which is very unnecessary; meaning the rest of the 1hr is for the actual movie and credits.

The plot:
A nobles daughter is MIA and the goblin slaying team finds her. She has PTSD, and overall I found the character to be unlikable for the majority of the time.

Characters:
As I said before the nobles daughter is generally annoying. She pretty much demanded to be put into a place where she wasnt mentally ready for. And that's pretty much it, no character development for anyone. I ... did enjoy how the goblins evolved. They even had more lore this time which made scenes intense.

Overall:
This just could've been a 2 episode OVA and literally no one would care. However this was a 1hr 25min movie that was only 55min long. It's sad to see an anime I thoroughly enjoyed so much to have had a movie produced like this in its franchise.

The art style really put me off but I was dead set on watching this. I felt terrified watching the first couple of episodes because they seem real in a sense. A lot of the story was exaggerated, but no good story is told without a few hiccups. While most stories have strategic deaths in a specific times all the deaths seen were random. No character grieved over the dying ones, and I felt that this st po RY should have shown them grieving.
I also noticed an ongoing theme where everytime someone wanted to go take a picture, a death was going to occur. Which ... was cool to figure out but not so cool to know that someone is going to die.

The way the plot is played out is nicely done. With Neiji having to chose between adolescent love, and the potential love of his life. However, the character development lacks so much, it makes the experience disappointing. Neijis only defining characteristic is that he's indecisive and loves burial mounds. Misaka, while I did root for her in the beginning, I didnt at the end. Her character became unlikable for me and I dont understand how.
As for Nisaka, I felt, was heavily underdeveloped. He had so much potential and not enough screen time. I feel like the plot between Neiji and Nisaka could ... have gone deeper. Nisaka from the audience's perspective has feelings for Neiji, but instead of pushing them onto Neiji, Nisaka instead helps Neiji and his shitty love life decisions.
The only character I felt had the most growth was Ririna. She was antisocial and had a hard time making friends, but in the end she ended up with great friends at school, and trying her hardest to make the people she loves get together even if she gets hurt.
The ending: if the setting were in a place where poly relationships existed, I would have been content. However, that's not what's happening. The way the story goes it feels like Neiji MUST choose who he wants(but like I said hes an indecisive little shit).
I was also put off by the art style, but that's just a personal preference. I didnt let that get in the way of getting to know and watch the most shittiest MC :)

I didnt like Charlotte. It was a cute slice of life the first half and then became a sci-fi drama the second. The transition from one to the other was rather abrupt, and the ending was also a trashy ex machina ending where it only became apparent what was gonna happen at the end of the second to last episode. I just felt like everything was too rushed; furthermore, there was SO MUCH story, that in 13 episodes, I didnt get have much time to enjoy the small moments. I felt like the show had much more potential and would have been better if it ... was produced as a 24 episode season with a better put together story line with less plot holes.
