So first and foremost- I will let you all know (in case you didn't notice) that this manga is complete and has 16 chapters.
All though this may be a setback for some, hear me out first and then decide.
Mansen Maou Shoujo Ena-sama is a nice little story about this demon king who is hella bored in her world and wanted to conquer another one. In attempting to conquer earth, she finds out that manga is really nice too.
The story itself is very lighthearted. An easy to read manga with enjoyable characters and enjoyable character interactions.
It has a mix of romance, passion (for manga
...
drawing), comedy, and fantasy.
One thing that sticks out the most for me though are the characters and their interactions. The characters in this manga felt 'real' to me. The emotions they show make sense given their scenario and background and seeing the characters interact with one another was simply enjoyable to me.
Now although the story ends at 16 chapters, I believe that's one of the strongest points of this manga.
Some manga go through the perpetual spiral of introducing new characters as to try and shake up a story and have it continue for longer amounts of times. They also tend to rely on the same troupes (like a doki doki moment in romance manga without developing the relationship between the characters, or a power up in shounens while simply introducing a slightly stronger opponent) to get you interested again; dishing out another 100-200 chapters in the process.
This ends up creating this never-ending loop of rising action and no real climax. You can't truly call something a "story" that has no end, and you will never feel a feeling of closure unless the story ends.
This manga however, ends the story at what I believe to be the perfect point. The characters have achieved their original goal, their interactions with one another have been clearly shown through the various chapters, there is no real place to go after that. Thus, it ends it with a nice little bow wrapped around it.
If you're looking for a nice little enjoyable story to grab your attention for a couple of hours, I think you've come to the right place.

You know...
This anime has a lot of problems,
It has plot holes,
It doesn't expand on all its huge cast of characters,
but none the less... you can't help but just love this anime...
...
This anime, especially nowadays, is such a gem. In this current anime era where every character, story, and subtle story elements are recycled. Where each anime just becomes monotonous, this anime just becomes such a gem.
When I first watched this anime, I did not appreciate it as much since that was my "Golden Era" anime moment. Every anime I watched was fantastically amazing, and compared to those, angel beats was simply "good/great." But compared to the current anime, and just even as a standalone story, it's such a joy.
You will see things in this anime that you will not find in other animes. The story STARTS with its opening, a subtle detail yet it makes such an impact when every anime nowadays starts with some content then the opening. But who knows, maybe that's just me.
As the opening is playing, you notice these little details in it that will just string you out. Angel Beats manages to expose you and make you vulnerable emotionally. It's not like Clannad, where it simply beats your heart to the ground, it more likes takes off your metaphorical clothing. Maybe this is simply from the perspective of someone who has already seen this show and is watching it for the 2nd time, but if you're someone who is tired of the monotonous and recycled styles that are being used in these current animes. Then please watch this show, you will adore it.

I don't get why this show is getting so much hate,
when there's shows like netoge that are far worse,
when there are shows out there like hundred that are getting absolute love and appraisal,
why is netoge getting so much backlash?
I personally enjoyed this show. Did it have its usual troupes of a romance? Yes, did it have its usual fan-service? Pretty much, but nonetheless this show had managed to accomplish this simplistic tasks far better than what I have seen in other shows who try to do the same thing. This show does suffer from the cliche stuff but honestly if you're in the
...
mood for it, this show does everything better than what shows of this genre do.
The fan-service isn't completely over the top, the romance is actually quite nice to watch, and the show flows very nicely (unlike some shows that try to create a conflict out of nothing and then end up becoming this really mediocre segment). Everything about this show was just great for what it was trying to accomplish. I honestly enjoyed this show greatly, just make sure to watch it when you want to watch this type of show and I'm sure you'll enjoy it too.

ReLIFE was mediocre at best.
The characters were mediocre, the story was mediocre, the sound was mediocre, everything about it was just eh.
What ReLIFE had going for it in terms of something new was that this 27 year old dude takes a pill to make himself look younger to relive his high-school days. But after a while they stopped even mentioning that or making it the prime feature of the story. They could have given the main character any type of backstory, and the anime would have stayed the exact same. That's how pointless that "going back in time" part was. They hardly mentioned it in
...
great importance throughout the story.
After the anime threw out that novel idea out the window, it just ended up being a slice of life, kind of drama kind of romance kind of comedy type show. But instead of focusing on any one of those categories, it instead tried to mosh it all together and now you don't know what exactly you're looking at. The drama was very weak, like how one character is competitive and is jealous that someone took her spot for student representative for her class. But instead of leaving it at just a mediocre drama and sort of a side thing, they blew it up out of proportion and tried to make something of it. And that wastes about a good half of the series.
The same goes for other aspects of the story. The romance doesn't go anywhere far and actually just teases you. The comedy was humorous but nothing new, granting you a giggle every now and then. But honestly that's it. Everyone on MAL is praising it to high heavens and honestly I don't know why. This show ended up being a badly made mediocre type slice of life show with a slightly novel idea that they decided to throw out the window. I found no enjoyment in the show in any regard because it didn't feel as though they knew where they wanted to go. They didn't know whether to be a drama a romance or a comedy or maybe they wanted to be all of it but either way none of the those aspects of this show really went there for me.

This anime doesn't need another review by me seeing as how I am also going to be praising the living shit out of this show like all the other people on MAL.
But honestly who could blame us? This show was fucking amazing, it knew what its strong points were and went with it. It didn't waste time trying to make something out of their weak points, and just stuck to what it was good at.
It stuck to the amazing character development that this show had going for it. In the span of around 50 episodes, you build such a deep and strong bond
...
with the characters that you almost feel like as if you're a part of the class. This probably has to do with how well the characters are executed in the series. Their interactions, and everything about them. All those side characters aren't just side characters, they have their own back story and their own reason for why they're in the "End" class. It makes you start feeling so deeply for the characters, that when shit does go down you can root with them.
This strong point of Assassination Classroom only gets stronger in the 2nd season, and you're also able to see more depth in various characters. Also showing the characters displaying various emotions, making them feel more like actual characters. Another added bonus of the series is the other elements of the 2nd season. The thickness of the tension, the heaviness of the subtle drop in mood, it all steadily comes together to prepare you for how real this story gets.
Whatever the characters feel, you start to feel it too. I don't want to spoil much for those who haven't seen it so I won't say more. But let's just say that everything that this show gives you starts to bundle up and wrap itself neatly towards the very end. All those feelings that you didn't know were culminating while you were watching the series starts to bubble up, and you start to physically feel it.
Another element of the 2nd series is that the boring gaps in between character development segments with enjoyable and humorous scenes. This happens more so late in the 2nd season though, not too much in the 1st.
The show also teaches you valuable lessons. It shows you that these group of kids, despite being put in the "End" class and being called "losers" and stuff actually had valuable worth in them, just like everyone does. Not to mention Koro-sensei's lessons but most of his lessons went over my head to be honest. Still though, because Koro-sensei was always teaching the kids various lessons, it was still able to create this bonding feeling for the characters in the show and for YOU, the viewer. You might not even realize it but trust me you will when it gets to be later in the show.
And of course, this show isn't perfect. It did have its weak points, the art COULD be seen as something bad as it isn't how most animes are drawn. The plot was pretty weak, but the thing is is that the show knows this. It doesn't try to make it grandiose and try to save its already weak plot, it instead builds around it so that it suits the shows strong points. And honestly, it actually gives you a twirl for a pretty big surprise towards the very end in terms of the characters all coming together nicely.
This show simply knows what it's doing, and knows what to build on and what not to. Because of that I highly commemorate this show for anyone searching for a show about character development. Although that sounds simplistic, in essence, that's what made this show great and after you watch it, you'll understand why too.

I made a review of this earlier, but decided to update it after seeing the anime and seeing how it finished.
So... I'm not sure if you read my older review on here, but I basically stated that "I was disappointed with how the anime went because although it had great pacing, great animation, great music etc. It would not be able to fully flesh out and develop the story in only 13 episodes because it ends at a bad time (if you read the manga you know what I'm talking about). Although it will be good, it won't be as good as it could have
...
been."
I still agree with everything I said, the only difference now though is that now that I know this anime series is planning on having at least a 2nd season, it will be absolutely superb.
For those who have not read the manga, the amount that the anime shows you only goes up to a very small part of the show. Nothing has actually happened YET. This was more like the introduction, but now that I know a 2nd season is coming?? OH HO HOOOOOO HERE WE GO!!!!
A lot more will be presented in the 2nd season, and you will see all the KICK ASS action (hopefully if it's going to show the parts that I am thinking of) and all that amazing character development that is shown in the manga.
So boku no hero academia season 1 was great, for an intro. to the series. If it was it's own stand alone work I'd give it like a 7 at most. But now that I know it's simply an introduction to the series, Ima give it an 8.
The reason for this is because it ended amazingly, and ended perfectly for an intro to take place, it gave you enough to learn about this environment that you're put in and gave you enough juices to like/love it. It also ended on a solid point, and gave you a fulfilling end when you finished it, it also left you with a little cliff hanger towards the very end keeping you anticipating for more coming from the series.
God I love this series. They did everything so superbly.
P.S. One thing I would like to mention that I had stated in my older review.
I noticed that the color scheme at the beginning was very childish. Like they made everything really bright and vibrant which I felt didn't suit the series, well for the introduction of the series it did but later on the show takes a serious and "dark" turn which is why I though "Oh God I hope this is on purpose and that they will give the appropriate color scheme and atmosphere when shit gets real." And they did, for every situation, and just God I love this anime adaptation. And the music fit, the characters were awesome, God I love this show.

Holy shit this anime got a surprising amount of hate from as far as I've seen so Ima try to write something in the hopes that you guys will at least TRY OUT this show.
So, apparently in the anime community, boku dake ga inai machi aka Erased, is one of those animes that has only two sides to it. The "best show ever side," and the "worst anime ever side." Well to put simply, the side that loves it, and the sides that hate it. Very much so like SAO, and so you know before hand in case this review does seem biased, I am
...
personally on the side that loved this show. But more so than that (this "review" is gonna end up into a rant watch), I feel as though some of the hate for this show is unwarranted.
I saw a person post on here that he didn't like it because it didn't reach the amount of hype that everyone was giving it, but then again in that manner it has nothing to do with the story, but the bar you set for it. This show is by far one of the most unique shows I have seen, true, that statement does sound pretty biased. But look at all the other animes around you,
With all the "B-BB-B-B--B-BAKA" tsunderes out there, with all the screaming spiky haired shounen power up characters, with all the 5 girls wanting one dude's d*ck for no reason, and this is the show that was decided to be hate on cus it was simply over hyped? Admittedly, this show was hyped to shit, some might even say even more so than One Punch Man. But I don't know how anyone could ignore how great this show was, at the very least, compared to the other mundane dull and repetitive shows out there.
Let me talk about this hype issue a little more, I feel as though one reason this show didn't "meet its hype" was because of how it was hyped. If you look back, all the shows that have been hyped are shows with a lot of energy, giving you a slight adrenaline rush (can you get an adrenaline rush from watching something? I think you can). Attack on Titan, Kill la Kill, One Punch Man, all of these shows were MEANT to get you pumped up and energized. So when a show like Erased comes out, where it's meant to get you engaged into the story and keep you on the edge of your seat rather than giving you that huge adrenaline rush. I can see how someone can be let down. So first and foremost, watch this show with a calm mind, calm as in don't let the hype get to you.
Now that that's out of the way, lets get to the cons of this show. Admittedly now that that feeling of just watching an amazing anime went away, I can see it pretty clearly now. Ima start with the cons because I'm sure you've heard from plenty of other people on how "amazing this show is."
First and foremost, there are some conveniences in this show, and not ones you can easily ignore IF you are bothered by these minute flaws. I only call it minute because it is something most people can ignore. First, the kids in the story, one kid in particular is way too smart. If you have studied or even know a little bit about how a person grows, children are not capable of thinking in a certain way until they get older. For example, if you asked a kid the question "would it be okay to steal medicine if it is meant to save your mother?" Most kids would and should probably say something simple. But then you have this kid here, in fifth fucking grade, who's all like (if presented with the same question), "Well, I don't think it's necessarily wrong to steal as long as it's for the sake of helping someone. Especially for someone as important as your mother, but you will need to take on the repercussions of your actions..." You see what I mean? Like the fuck is this shit? No kid should be capable of thinking that way.
Another convenience this show has is how stupid everybody is. This person is framed for killing someone close to them, and the police don't second guess it at all, they just immediately think "yep, that's definitely gotta be him no matter what!!!" and tried to arrest him ON THE SPOT. WHAT!? You would think even the average person would be smarter than that.
And last but not least, the last convenience I can think of from this show is the killer's motive to the whole dang thing. And actually, it's not that unreasonable. I'm not going to spoil too much, but basically, his reasons are simple, there is no deep complexion to it like obito from naruto or.... i dunno that's all I can think of. He just liked the thrill of killing, and this actually is not an "inconvenience" to the story, as there have been plenty of killers who are simply sadistic and psychotic.
Okay, now that all the cons have been mentioned, lets talk about the good parts of this show.
First and foremost, holy shit is this show unique. Especially coming from the perspective of someone who had watched all the mundane crap first, this show was a really nice breather. It's also intense right from the start, again, not the type of shounen intense, but the type of intense where the cogs and gears for the story are already revving up and moving full power.
Speaking of which, this show keeps you on the edge of your seat for the entire duration, part of the excitement of the show isn't actually solving who the killer is, but Satoru's (the MC's) struggle through all of these events. Like Okaba in steins;gate, the struggle that they had gone through is what made the shows interesting.
The ending to this story gives you a nice, clean, satisfied feeling too. You feel as though everything is wrapped up nicely, and that everything's all settled.
oh, btw, in case you haven't noticed this "review" is very basic. It has no formality or proper structure, I'm just throwing out everything that comes to mind. So with that in mind;
Another good point of this story is that the story IS NOT, linear. What I mean by this is, there are struggles within the story, and everything doesn't go as planned, which causes conflict and rifts that in turn make the story more interesting and engaging. I remember one episode, my heart was literally beating harder than usual, not necessarily pounding, but just beating in anticipation. Oh, lemme show you, an example of a "linear" story would be something like, holy shit I wish I knew of an anime but I can't think of one. So hopefully you know of this one, do any of you happen to know a game called Devil May Cry? Not the original one, but the remade one made by a British studio or something like that. In that game, the story and objective was very linear, "you need to defeat the demon king, in order to do that you need to do this this and this." And then you proceeded to do "this this and this," and defeat the demon king and whoopie you beat the game. See how boring that is? If you look closely, most stories (good stories) are not as linear as that when there is an objective.
Stories purposefully have little things in them that causes struggle and conflict. For example, remember in Kill la Kill *stop reading this paragraph if you haven't seen Kill la Kill* how there was a bigger enemy rather than just defeating the student council president or whatever that title that black haired girl had? It's those things that "don't go according to plan" that make stories great.
Anyways Erased has that too and it's really nice. It's an engaging show that doesn't waste any of your time, makes a nice concise and wrapped up story from the manga, and is absolutely enjoyable. At least give it a try.
I'm tired as shit and I don't know who the fuck even has the time to read this and I'm probably not even going to revise it later lol bye bye!!

Ima keep this review concise and nice just like this anime,
this anime accomplishes what most romance animes fail to do by the end of their series. At least most of them, and what I mean is that most romance animes don't give you the feeling of romance or a relationship, the hardships that come with a relationship, the feeling of being reunited after that setback, or the confusion that goes on in your head during that time.
These are all important aspects that can be used in romance animes. But in most romance animes, they instead have either fan service, the protagonist being thick headed, or
...
the girl/guy not progressing their intent of letting the other person know they like them. Basically, the plot never gets developed, and if it does, it happens very slowly and by the end of the anime you might get a confession or a kiss IF you're lucky.
Which is what I love about this show, they actually manage to delve into the hardships of relationships and bring out enough character and plot development in only 9 freakin episodes!!! (Each episode only comprising of 10 minutes). It shows a lot of realistic scenarios that can be seen in actual relationships, and manages to pick up the pace which is refreshing compared to other anime romance shows. Not to mention the fact that neither character sticks to a character troupe, but like as if they're actually people, like thinking "oh, what should i do?? ><" I just realized that sounds like a tsundere but I promise you in this scenario it's different.
Now admittedly, it's tiny amount of episodes is also sort of its own downfall (when you think about it it's only really 4 and a half episodes), as it doesn't give you as much build up as other shows. But it's a paradox, because for that same reason, that's what makes the show great, as it shows us you don't need 24 full length freakin episodes to bring out the subtle details of romance. It manages to make a fast paced show without making it feel too rushed, just perfect in my opinion honestly.
Other downfalls is that sometimes the voice acting felt a little flat, and the sound was over used a little bit (as in not having a diverse pool of music to choose from), but this could be just due to budget. Despite that, they were still able to make due, but whether it was due to budget or simple laziness, it still gets marked down from a 9 to an 8. Honestly, it's such a short show, if you like romances there's no reason not to get into this.
So with all in mind: being able to show the nuances of a relationship in such a short amount of time, giving you a satisfying and fulfilled ending, actual people instead of character troupes, this anime in my opinion easily gives you an 8.

This isn't even going to be a review, this is going to be a fucking rant.
This 6 short few minutes OVA seriously just shows the potential of how awesome and amazing Naruto could have been. Not the crap shit it is right now with all the fillers memories talking etc.... JUST LOOK AT THIS!!!
The fight scenes look INTENSE, there's no constant TALKING, no NEEDLESS FILLERS, no MEANINGLESS FLASHBACKS FOR 5 HOURS,
Just straight, high end, kick ass fighting. AHHHHHH,
It's just so frustrating cus this, THIS, THIS 6 MINUTE OVA, IS THE MANIFESTATION OF THE POTENTIAL NARUTO COULDA BEEN, BUT NOOOO YOU JUST GOTTA RUIN
...
IT BY FUCKING ADDING 5 BILLION HOURS WORTH OF FILLERS TO CASH DRY THE SHIT OUT OF THAT SHOW,
FUCK
...
Told you this was just gonna be a rant :/

Kono Subarashii brings a different kind of humor than the rest of the comedic anime shows. They know what to do and when to do it, it isn't your cut and paste comedy from a billion other shows, and that's what makes this show great!
I'm gonna tell you right now, no matter what you read from the synopsis (i actually haven't read it lol) this show does not go anywhere, but that's understandable. The goal of this show wasn't to be a shounen with the end plot of beating "the demon king." At least it doesn't seem like that, I mean come on, in the
...
very first episode the people literally say "oh yeah the demon king's influence isn't anywhere near here," which should show people that "okay, so this whole demon king shit is never going to be happening then."
But this show does a really nice job of keeping up the same tempo through out the entire show, but still managing to alter a few factors to make it fresh and enjoyable. A lot of shows, even stemming away from anime for a bit, have a huge problem of shifting focus in the story. For example, a comedy can turn into a shounen real quick, and unless done in sequence with the flow of the story, like Madoka Magica holy shit that transition from ep 3 to 4 was so UNGH, then you're gonna have a pretty shit show. But this show does the exact opposite, which was a good thing, it kept the same pace throughout the entire show. And although you aren't able to see them "defeat the demon king," you do see some very slight progressions that make it a little more enjoyable, like for example *on episode 8* "oh hey cool i didn't know such and such character got to this level."
So don't be expecting any deep plot, or intense action, or an adventurous goal, just expect a light hearted, care-free, comedic show. It does a great job of setting the stage up, with its different perspective of "being put into an rpg (as in a different perspective of SAO Overlord etc)," and makes you grasp and enjoy where this show is going. All-in-All, it's a nice show, don't miss out on it.
