They're pretty similar at their core. Both are heavily reliant on the idea of the "infinite" world, as well, as how we're still able to impact it to an extent. Narrative structure wise, they're also crazy similar. As for foreshadowing as well too. Along with how certain details/elements are conveyed, through narrative, panelling, characters, etc. Another thing would be character interactions, they both feel "real", in a sense, that their convos feels like real people talking to each other. Then there's all the adventure elemtents, too. Lastly, the power-systems as-well, to a small degree. Also, Togashi/Oda kinda works in a alike way - as well as how organically they develop as writers, which results in them coveying details in such fashions.

Well, they're both pretty reliant on the mystery behind everything, both consists of "witches", they're also both really reliant on character progression. Although, i'd say Fata does it better in a wider scale (executing the minor characters better.) Whereas i'd say Umineko's main cast is a bit stronger. Both story's are really grounded in their expression. Both narrative's are thematically brilliant & complex. Also again, they got pretty similar characters, both symbolically, conceptually, progression, etc.. Wise. They also tackle similar themes/ideas, such as despair, escapism, Love, identity etc. They are also both pretty meta. In any case, if you like Fata, then i'm sure you'll like Umineko & Vice versa. However, I would recommend reading their vn counterparts, for the best experience (or not so much Umineko, as some episodes are "far" superior manga wise, compared to the vn counterpart) but that's just me! Either way, they are both great.👍
