What would you do if you were transported to an alternate world?
1.Try to find a way out of the game
2.Give up and live a peacefully life in that fantasy world
3.Become the king and rule the world!
If you chose the last one,then you you are one step closer to understanding the main characters`s brain,Sora and Shiro.
The story starts like this:We have a duo of NEET hikikomori siblings which are brilliant at playing games,and are known worldwide by their name [

](blank),but they don`t integrate in society.In fact,they consider this world as just a game.One day,they receive a strange e-mail,and they are challenged to a game of chess.They obviously win,and then,they are sent to a fantasy world.Ok,so,if you`ve read until this point,you may think that “this is just another anime in which the characters are dragged into another world,and now they want to get out of it..blah,..blah..saw this before..boring..”.Well,you are wrong…Apparently,this world is ruled by the One True God..Tet.This God created this world in such a way that all the disputes,demands,even wars between countries or citizens must be resolved/decided…by playing a game.That`s right,if you want to create your own harem with fantasy characters,win a game.If you want to punch someone in the face,win your right,by winning a game..Or perhaps..you want to become a King and rule over the entire world?..Simple..keep winning..and never lose a single game .
So right now,[ ] starts their adventure to become kings and to challenge the other races in order to earn their rights to challenges and defeat Tet.
While the premise seems interesting,the balance between comedy and action wasn`t thought well.The story changes from a rather serious situation to a fanservice scene in the blink of an eye.
For ecchi lovers,who are only interested in ecchi scenes it may seem good,but for the ones that are looking for a good story,without plot holes,it may not be overlooked.
It is sad that this show had only 12 episodes,though..this anime will make you want more…trust me.it will!
The characters in NGNL are few at number,but are pretty well introduced in the story,but their development is almost absent, this anime being self-centered around the main characters
I will review Sora and Shiro together,from different reasons :D .So,we have the legendary duo gamers,whose reputation is well-known all over the world.They play all their games together,completing each other..Sora;is the strategist,and Shiro is the brain.They don`t receive much development through out the series,being always a step,or maybe more, in front of their enemies.The fact that they are ridiculously overpowered makes the show rather predictable…you know that the protagonists will win,and that may score a point against the enjoyment of this show.
Steph barely gets any development.We get to see her past,but other than that..nothing.She has a comedic role,and plays the idiot type of character.
Jibril was probably one of the best character from this show,in my opinion.She is also a type of character that focuses on comedic relief,but it is freaking funny.
Ok,now onto my favourite part of this show.THE ART! The animation of this show is beautiful flawless and unique ,with its vibrant,colorful colours and wondrous backgrounds.The colours used make the show more interesting and funnier.and it gives it a joyful atmosphereThe characters are drawn based on the same principle,and god,I love Sora`s expression and animation when we shows a “game over” face..The sound was good too,I liked the OP and th ED and the soundtrack went well with the situations..
I really enjoyed this series..it made me want to watch more..When this anime was still airing,a week of waiting felt like a month.
This anime will keep you hooked with each and every episode,so be prepared.
So finally,is this show worth watching?..I would definitely recommend this series to anyone.Although there are some obvious plot holes,and there is barely any character development,it is still an enjoyable and fun anime to watch,and it will make you root for the characters,even though you know they will win
