This season was definitely an improvement from the last two. Counter to the popular consensus on this show, I actually enjoyed season 3 a lot. I loved the villains, loved the setting, loved the conflict. I gave it a high rating for a reason. Same with this season. Every episode felt like a rush of joy to my brain with how much plot was properly being utilized. Not once did I think to myself "did we really need this here?". A season with a literal war, a prison break, and a vigilante Deku arc just blew my mind away. If a second "big three" were ... to be put into place, this would be one of my top candidates because of how good it is. Vigilante Deku's design is incredible and gave the series an unexpected edgy feel that was not present in the seasons. The emotional baggage of this season is incredible. I kept thinking to myself "who has the most messed up backstory?" because there was so much amazing character development. Hawks has a messed up backstory, Shigaraki has a messed up backstory, Dabi is Toya and got burned. This season also sparked a long Naruto comparison for me. I recognized a lot of the tropes heavily borrowed from Naruto. Dabi is Obito. Deku is obviously Naruto, etc etc. Overall just a great show. Can't wait for Season 7.

This anime is good. Good plot, good animation, good characters (especially Gojo!). However, it just didn't give off any sort of aesthetic that made it pop out. I enjoyed it though don't get me wrong. What annoyed me the most was the gaps in character development. Yuji gets a power-up mid-battle out of nowhere only for it to be revealed that Yuji had training with Gojo that was off screen. Like can I see Yuji develop? I love the fighting but it feels incredibly cool when a character uses a move that he practiced so long on to defeat an enemy. Think of Naruto ... with the Rasegan. Anyways, good stuff. Can't wait for season 2 soon

A gorgeous masterpiece of a story. Can't believe it doesn't have as much recognition as it deserves. Every second of storytelling is enough to leave you wanting more. It had the perfect length in my opinion. Not long at all, but action-packed and well worth anyone's time. Avioli/ Angelo is one of the most "literally me" anime protagonists in history, but does not get recognition as such. It's anime that I would recommend to literally anyone who wants a good story that will lead the viewer on an emotional roller coaster. It's been a few years since I've seen this anime, and I do intend ... to rewatch it, but nevertheless I remember how much I loved this masterpiece. Aside from Baccano, it's not much that you see mafia-style anime. Baccano was one I also really enjoyed, but I wanted an anime that had a mafia aesthetic without supernatural powers and whatnot. This was the anime I was looking for. If you're looking for a short, but amazing, anime then just watch this.
