I decided to write a review since no one has written any yet (excuse me if I commit grammar mistakes, since english is not my native language).

I only saw the 1st season of the anime, but this manga's story takes another point of view in the Uma Musume universe, with new characters, so probably we won't be seeing Special Week or Silence Suzuka anytime soon.

Instead, we have the protagonist, Oguri Cap, as an astounding Uma Musume who performs incredibly well in the races she has participated so far. For the moment, she seems a bit overpowered (someway, the story elaborates a bit about this, so ... it's not like it is something like nakama power or the power of the script), but at the point in the story where I am (chapter 36), maybe there will be equal or more overpowered Uma Musume, so I'm expecting good "battles".

The manga's story is very good, with a heavy spokon focus, so don't get afraid of a story with girls doing things with fan service annoyingly included, because this manga doesn't have lucky sukebe, particular "angles" fan service whatsoever. Instead, it has awesome panels with the girl's faces in a state of total concentration and excited for the race. Also, the majority of the backgrounds in the race circuits (which include grass road) are well detailed. Maybe, I'd say this manga is even better than the anime series.

I recommend this manga whether or not you have knowledge of Uma Musume through the anime series or the smartphone game. Furthermore, if you are seacrhing for some spokon manga to read, this is not the masterpiece of all history, but a very good and entertaining manga.
