Most stupid character since Shinji. Ok, so you seen some horrible stuff, so you don't get off your a** and help the person you "care" about? No, nobody is in shock for that long. For the sake of the people you "care" about, the MC needed to pick his a** off the ground and got to action in the first time back (no I don't mean ep 1)! The only excuse you can have is this is fiction so it's for dramatic effect. I certainly hope kids (childish adults) don't think this is how to actually interact in life. The entire ep 15 as well

as multiple times in a lot of episodes, it's just "ooOOooooooOOOoOo look at me, I'm showing you this, I'm soooooo edgy". Does not need to happen at all.
I actually saw a comment saying that when he was young he couldn't get into Re:Zero, but he thinks it's a masterpiece now he's older. I certainly hope this type of edgelord is not running anything important in society. It actually is the exact opposite. When you're younger you might fall for the shock value and is unable to identify how a normal adult responsible human being in our actual society would act and get into this anime (I might have when I was younger as well). However, when you're older, I certainly hope you can see how so many scenes are the producer intentionally making unreasonable actions for the characters to *instruct* you to be shocked to *instruct* you that this is the moment you cry. I feel like the show is telling me, "hey, this is when you cry now" "hey, this is when you're shocked now".
The one thing the show is good at is having a large roster of characters.
Insert: Oh my god.... spending half of the next episode ranting sht that doesn't help the negotiation. This is exactly the description of a kid making a tantrum while adults are in the room. (Again, the only excuse being this is a fictional show, so the producer intentionally inserted an "emotional" scene here so you're supposed to be mad, so let's just skip it so we can follow the story the author needs it to go...)
