(This 4/ 10 is my rating for this particular season only)
Why, why did you do this to me food wars? Now I wish I didn’t watch the show and was not a really big fan of it, cause this last season is a nightmare to food wars fan. For a really invested fan to hate a series is no silly thing.
I will say I started watching Food wars when season 3 was about to air, it instantly became one of my favorite show. It was a show I suddenly started to love, the characters, the cooking were so enjoyable.
What was appreciable about the show
...
was it had a concept which I haven’t seen in a battle shounen before, this show made cooking f-ing interesting and cool. You get hyped when someone is cooking, it’s not that common.
So I will just give my rating of the previous seasons to put it out of way,
Season 1 – 8.5/10 – I freaking loved it. The arcs were so good; those types of arcs were the best arcs in food wars.
Season 2 – 9 / 10 – the tournament arc – this arc was successful in keeping the pressure of who wins. We saw the characters trying to grow their skills with passing time.
Season 3 – 7.5 / 10 – this is the turning point of food wars, the first half was good as usual, but in the second half, they introduced a villain for the show for the first time. Even though it was enjoyable I didn’t wanted the show to go that way.
Season 4 – 7/ 10 the series definitely got a little weaker this season, in terms of production and the way the plot went. The show became too serious; the fun of school life was completely gone. It’s like there is politics inside the school.
Now the final season:
I really hated this season, I wish it didn’t exist. Also, I am one of those who already were informed the last arc was bad, but loving the show I was like even if it was bad, I don’t think I am going to hate it? But boi I was wrong.
Main problems with the BLUE arc. (SOME SPOILERS OBVIOUSLY)
• The whole plot of the arc was dog shit
• The cooking battles were so degraded. For the previous seasons, we get to see them going and doing the process of making the food, but this arc was so rushed every match ended so fast. Even the final battle ended in 5 minutes, No pressure or buildup.
• I don’t know where the mangaka found the so-called ‘underworld’ from. The distinction he added between people of the underworld and others felt like differentiating humans and outer space aliens. It almost feels like he found out about underworld from some Reddit comments or something, it was cringe to watch when the noir chefs just look down others like they are not even the same species. Even if some people are big criminals, we can’t separate them from regular persons this much, but here it was just chefs, how different is going to make where they work.
• The absurd types of cooking methods and tools introduced in this arc almost made me wonder if I am watching some “underworld” version of the show.
The main antagonist of this arc has a superpower. If he holds other's cooking tools he can acquire their cooking skills in an instant, his brain works that way. If this doesn’t feel like some asspull fest, I don’t know what is.
• Ending was missing so much, the soma as a character again failed to reach his goal. The focus was given to Erina even in the final battle, I understand at that situation she had some reason to win but we can’t just forget about our MC for a sudden brought up matter.
• The number of characters who just got demoted to worse than side character level was large. Most of the cast was just background characters for this arc. Characters like Hayama, Ryo just got butchered, they were not given growth even though these two of three finalists in the autumn elections.
• Story 3 very bad
Was this intended to be a meme?
The BLUE arc, just one arc just completely butchered the series. It was so bad that if it was intended as a parody series from start then this arc is a 10/10.
The stupid superpowers, the ridiculous cooking (like using explosives), the lack of tension and buildup, demoting so many characters to background scenery, the ridiculous concept of underworld chefs as something normal people are so different to, etc. just made up this arc.
• Art and animation 7 - good
Art and animation were weak in this season compared to the first 3 seasons. It doesn’t matter anymore cause the story side was already bad.
• Matches or Battles – 5 not ok
the matches were so short so that the cooking sequences were just only each person using their crazy cooking tools. Many important, even the final match was so short, the characters made their food in the background just in an instant. The blue winning food was not even shown to us
• Sound 8 very good
The osts were good like always.
• Character 6 fine
This arc just threw away so many characters we came to love and focused on only a few which was not even done well when we reached the end.
The number of characters who just got demoted to worse than side character level was large. Most of the cast was just background characters for this arc. Characters like Hayama, Ryo just got butchered, they were not given growth even though these two of three finalists in the autumn elections.
• Enjoyment 4 bad
I really hate this arc/season, this just ruined a show I really cared about and its characters.
• Overall rating of the series – Food Wars – 6/10 (wasted potential to a really awesome and good show)
A show which was really fun and good in its prime stages, which just got destroyed with the final arc its every appeal.
I will say season 1- 3 alone is still 8.5/ 10, the later seasons affected it and mage to 6/ 10
I recommend people to watch this series up to season 4 and then watch the final episode of season 5.
In short, this is another example of a long-running shounen that just got butchered with the final arcs.
(I am so pissed and sad)

Haikyuu is my favorite sports anime. [haven’t watched hajime no ippo yet]
The show makes you the part of their teams [karasuno]. it makes you feels like we know the members like a friend or teammate. It is one of the consistent shows airing now
Haikyuu s4 had some problems but overall it is still really good.
There were some changes like in art. The art style is now more inclined to the manga. Most of the viewers doesn’t seem to like the new art style. I can agree with this, I also liked the old art style.
But if this is more similar to the manga, then I
...
can’t complain more, usually every good show have art style similar to manga. So I was able to bear this.
Animation was also weak compared to previous seasons. This season was more like a training arc before the tournament so I hope they will improve the animation quality more in the second part.
[THE RATING SEEMS TO BE LOW FOM LAST SEASON, I THINK ITS MAINLY BECAUSE OF THE NEW ARTSTYLE, and animation was a little lesser in quality]
• Story 9 awesome
Story is very good. We feel the the pressure in the match even it’s a story. That makes it incredible.
• Art and animation 8 Pretty good. [THE REASON FOR RATING DECREASE]
Not a fan of the new art style, but is adapting to it slowly. I hope animation improves in second part.
I MISS THE OLD MID INTERVAL SCENES.
• Matches 9 awesome
We had one training match, which was really good. We also got the first stage matches of the tournament. They end this season in kind of a cliffhanger which keeps you hype for July.
• Sound 10 Outstanding
The osts are really good like always. The opening was awesome. Some new osts were really good.
• Character 9 awesome
Characters are one of the good things in Haikyuu. The series takes time to let us know the characters in the team really well. This season we got some major Hinata focus and developments.
We got more focus on Kiyoko, Tanaka, etc. more. We got introduced to some characters who can be major threats in the tournaments.
• Enjoyment 9 AWESOME
I enjoyed very season of Haikyuu. It is really consistent.
The change in art style in a thing I have to adapt to, especially when it is more similar to manga. Animation was weaker but not bad compared to many shows which have bad animations.
• Overall 9
A pretty solid season, ¾ was training arcs and the rest was the beginning part of tournament.
The training arcs are as good like always.
In short, apart from art style change and some animation laziness, this season of Haikyuu was also really good.

My hero academia, one of modern big three. I absolutely loved the first 2 seasons. S3, for me was weak and repetitive, it had some epic and good moments but as a whole it was a disappointment.
I am maybe in the minority, but by season 4 MHA made a comeback. I really enjoyed this season even though it had some animation and pacing inconsistencies at the beginning.
The things that made this season my favorite, or at least its better than S3
[MINOR SPOILERS]
1.The story arcs-
• Overhaul arc – it is one the most serious and best arcs up until now. It had emotions, major
...
losses, fights, focus in characters other than Deku and Bakugo. FOR THE FIRST TIME CLASS 1A was not the main focus for the villains and others. In short story wise it had an improvement.
• School festival arc –This is the first time I liked a calm / training arc from MHA. This arc was really good in allowing focus on other character like JIRO, ERI, etc. The performance was awesome. We had a really good calm arc.
Gentle was first introduced as a low threat funny villain, but at the during the end of the arc I felt more towards both Gentle and La Brava, wishes to see them more in the future.
2.Side character focus and development-
I liked that in the overhaul arc the usual class A vs villain formula was not used. Instead it took only few from the class, which allowed more focus and background on characters like Kirishima [which previous seasons were weak in doing]. We also got focus on two of the big 3 characters. Eri as a character grew on me with passing episodes, hope to see more involvement from her in the future.
now let me tell the problems I felt from this season.
• Pacing – pacing was definitely an issue up to 10 episodes. But later it kinda picked up.
• Animation – The major eps had nice animation, but some of the episodes had weaker animation quality compared to other seasons.
[SPOILERS]
Midoriya vs Overhaul, to me it was the best fight Midoriya has in this series. He was able to use 100 percent full cowling for this fight.
Nighteye was a character you will feel the lose of. His last scenes were touching. Mirio being out of action for a while is also a big thing
Kirishima was given good focus, now doesn’t feel like a background character anymore. Hope future season will give some focus on the rest of characters in at least class A.
Jiro is one the characters I feel like will not do good in a fighting arc except for maybe support, so the festival arc was one the arc where characters like her can get more focus. So far they have been only focusing on Midoriya and Bakugo even in the training/calm arcs. So this time was a first and is appreciated hope for similar arcs with a character focus as a calm arc.
The license arc was also pretty good, was enjoyable. We got focus on Endeavour.
[ THIS SEAON HAD THE BEST FINAL EPISODE] literally fire.
[only small spoilers ]
• Story 8.5 awesome
Story arcs in this were better than S3. More side character focus, serious fight, more mature, more risk and huge losses, better calm arcs than every season.
Overhaul arc is my favorite arc from MHA.
The festival arc was the best calm /training arc in this series yet. It had some purpose in it.
Villains were awesome. [Overhaul, Gentle]
For the first time the League of villains felt scary
• Art and animation 8.5 Pretty good
Art and animation was weakest in this season even though the major scenes had good animation, some scenes in the season felt lacking in the ‘BONES’ quality.
• Fights 8.5 awesome
Fights were awesome and more serious.
Over vs deku, Kaminari’s fights, Mirio’s, Gentle vs deku.
Last ep was fire.
• Sound 10 Outstanding
The osts are really good like always.
• Character 8.5 very Good
This season we had some improves in character focuses and development. Usually only the developed ones were developed further, rest of the cast were still blunt, just to add numbers in the classroom. But this season we got focus on others characters, which is a ‘+’ in this season.
Mirio, Eri, Kirishima, Jiro, Endeavour were focused this season. HOPE FUTURE SEASONS FOLLOW THIS TREND.
• Enjoyment 8.5 AWESOME-
[I didn’t like season 3 that much like the rest, to me it had some boring arcs at the end and beginning parts, the same training, battle, training formula was followed in which the training arcs were boring]
So This season made me love MHA again, gave me hope again. Definitely excited for season 5
• Overall 8.5
It was a comeback for mha in my opinion, at least it felt to me, made me love MHA again.
In short this season was weaker in pacing and animation, but it had better arcs, more character focuses, felt more serious, major losses, best calm arcs, best last episode, good villains etc.

This is one the proof that fairy tail's writer could write better stories. This side story was well written enjoyable than the main series.
The story focuses on the backstory of Mavis and how fairy tail come into existence.
It also shows Hades when he was a good guy, Makarov’s father, etc.
It also unfolds that Mavis and Zeref relationship. And how she got powerful, what happened to her.
I really enjoyed this. I would definitely recommend everyone who has read fairy tail.
I really enjoyed this. I would definitely recommend everyone who has read fairy tail.
It is better than the main series. It proves hiro can write good
...
stories.
I know this is just a really small review.

My hero academia, one of modern big three. I absolutely loved the first 2 seasons.
But S3, for me was a LETDOWN, it had some epic and good moments but as a whole it was a disappointment.
• S1 we had the premise of the show, the MC got developed, while S2 developed some other characters including the bad guys, introduced some more. And S2 of it doesn’t disappoint us at all. It got even better than S1.
• S3 felt repetitive, [training /exam arc+ villains attacking them].
Up to S2 it was not a problem but S3 following the same formula was kind of lazy and repetitive.
There were some
...
shounen clichés in this season, which the previous season avoided, the villains were blunt compared to other seasons, ALL FOR ONE was a disappointment from what the hype he had. Still enjoyed the fight the fight between all might and all for one.
All for one had the power to stole others quirk, which is kind of OP and the potential is high, but his main move of all things was some kind of a super punch.
Midoriya vs muscular , for me it is a cliche fight in this series, like I am going to defeat to cause I am the main character.
Him using 100 percent for three times was such an asspull, how can he use his hands after, and even after he beat muscular he was trying to fight. In my opinion Midoriya as a character would think and fight, not jump into a fight and win a fight by shounen clichés.
• Story 7 Good
Story is still good, [but the repetitiveness, the deku harem, blunt characters, affects this season].
The exam arc was not good; it was dragged down. But the last three episodes were great [we got Twice’s view on what’s happening in the world, introduced to the seniors, made me hype for next season.
• Art 10 outstanding
Bones did an amazing job in this season like always. So art is unaffected.
• Fights 8 good
Fight in this show are actually kind of like JOJO, where application is preferred over firepower.
‘ALLMIGHT VS ALL FOR ONE’ was EPIC, but I don’t think all for one was worth the villain [seeing what he did even though he had more potential] hyped to be.
‘DEKU VS MUSCULAR’ - it had shounen clichés
Deku vs Bakugo -ABSOLUTELY SPECTACULAR. Everything was good about it. Bakugou was able to open his feelings and Deku was brave enough to stand against him. Great developments
• Sound 10 Outstanding
The osts are really good
• Character 7 Good
This season we had some lack in character developments [ I meant only the developed ones were developed further, rest of the cast were still blunt, just to add numbers in the classroom].
Among the big three 3, Mirio Togata is introduced good, as a next Allmight contender to remove the absence of allmight, but NEJIRE and TAMAKI is not yet clearly introduced well enough, hope they will be in future seasons.
• Enjoyment 8 Very Good- well at end they made me hype for the next season, still the worst season of my hero academia.
• Overall 7 good- I can’t say it is trash, considering the fact there were some amazing developments in story character, and some good fights.
• Fan base - THE WORST
I hate to say it, but the fanbase of this series is fricking annoying. [more than the fan base AOT had when season 1 aired, even though the fan base of AOT is not bad now, they got better from season 2 eventually].
But MHA fan base gets worse every season, it makes most of people to hate the show, down do that, don’t destroy a good show. Most of the people who dropped this is just because of this annoying fan base.
Anyway I am hyped to watch the next season.

My hero academia, one of modern big three, S2 of it doesn’t disappoint us at all. It got even better than S1.
• S1 we had the premise of the show, the MC got developed, while S2 developed some other characters including the bad guys, introduced some more.
We even had a ‘TOURNAMENT ARC’ in this season, and bones actually nailed it with all the fights.
• Story 9 Great
Story progressed more into the hero training, we had a tournament arc to introduce some match ups among the UA STUDENTS. The rest of division of first years were shown, and utilized.
We got HERO KILLER, a villain who had a
...
perspective which you can’t easily call evil, and shows us the hero community has some corruptions, most of them seems to work for the money and fame rather than being a hero to everybody.
Iida, Todoroki, uraraka got more developed, along with midroiya .
• Art 9 Great
Bones did an amazing job in this season.
• Fight 9 awesome
Fight in this show are actually kind of like JOJO , where application is preferred over firepower.
This season the tournament arc helped in enhancing the fight.
• Sound 10 Outstanding
The osts are really good.
• Character 8 Very Good
The MC got more developed, and some side characters also got developed [ Iida, Todoroki, uraraka].
Allmight is such a fun and refreshing character of the show.

• My hero academia is one of modern big three. A shounen which is basic in most of its aspects, but executed excellently and feels different which is good.
The world is a familiar world. World of superheroes and villains, pretty basic.
This season is kind of a premise of the series.
• The story is really good, gets you hooked up from first 2 episodes. It brought me the emotions I had a child, looking up to a superhero which was portrayed good.
The story revolves Izuku, where he is trying to adapt to the current society [most of them have super powers, but he does not]. This season follows
...
the way him starting in order to achieve his dreams i.e. become a hero like ALLMIGHT.
It has a school as a base for all the main characters, so the story progresses along with their school life.
• Story 8 very good
Story is something refreshing and the way it plays out is really good.
• Art 9 Great
Art is good and the animation is done by bones…
And we have allmight who can be seen as a jojos reference.
• Fight 8 Very Good
Fight in this show are actually kind of like JOJO, where application is preferred over firepower.
• Sound 10 Outstanding
The osts are really good.
• Character 8 Very Good
The MC is a very good character, he is actually a thinking MC not like the usual straightforward and dumb MCs we usually see in a shounen [ it has become repetitive over the years]. There are some 1D characters, hoping they get developed in the future. Currently most of development is on MC.
• Enjoyment 9 Great
• Overall 8 very good

Fairy tail was been my favorite anime, I watched it from when it started airing.
• Let me say this if you want to watch fairy tail, drop it at the end of tenroujima arc, that would feel like a far superior ending the series than its real ending. Or you could stop at season 1.
• This review is for both manga and anime
• The first season of fairy tail is actually really good. [ the phantom guild arc, oracion seis arc, tenrou arc were actually good arse shounen arcs.
• From season 2 onwards it is full of ecchi fan service [gets out of hand] and the power
...
of friendship, which season 1 also has but from S2 on wards it gets out of hands
• S3 or the final season is mostly a single arc, the spriggan 12 arc – which is one of the absolute trash arc in shounen, it is a war between two kingdom arc [perfect for an ending] but the way it was written or played out makes me think why did I watch or read it to end, cause nothing which kept me to watch it resolved at the end or is done by cheap and laziest way. The final arc is the epitome of the power of friendship where every win is through that. There were some fake deaths which after a while become really annoying and felt like power levels in this is trashier than DRAGON BALL [I mainly meant DBS].
• Story 5 Mediocre
It had its glory in the previous season, but season 3 is complete joke compared to the first season.
• Art 6 Fair
The art in the anime is so low budget. S1 art was somewhat better, form s2 onwards they added some kind of brightness filter, and s3 we have fight scenes done on a PowerPoint.
• Sound 10 Outstanding
Takanashi’s osts drive the show. I still love the music in this anime.
• Character 7 Good
There are some good characters with developments, but I don’t think their growth mattered at the end of the show, so if you don’t watch the ending or at least the final few episodes I think they are really good characters. I mentioning some characters like ERZA, JELLAL, GAJEEL, GRAY. Among them ERZA become a trash character at the last arcs, instead for every arc, hiro finds a way to relate what’s happening to LUCY, and have some fan service for no reason from her.
• Enjoyment 6 Fair
The enjoyment I had on this show decreased considerably as the series progressed.
• Overall 6

Tate no Yuusha no Nariagari had the potential to be even better, but it was not consistent with the fire it had.
I actually rate it a 7.5, but I gave it an 8 because I am not considering to watch the next season if it airs as I am happy with where they ended, and I have no further reason or interest what’s happening next.
• Story 7 Good
it is an isekai, getting trapped in a game like world [cliché], but it has a good story.
The first 5 episodes were good and intriguing.
the show gets a little draggy and loses the quality when it introduces characters
...
like Melty and Filo, to enhance the ‘harem and loliness’ throughout the series.
The overall story is good, but the drag in the middle episodes can make you drop the show.
the end parts [from ep 17] of the show again picked up again in story, focusing on the main story line, introduced some new concepts in the isekai genre [ at least to me].
• Art 6 Fair
art is nothing special, and the CGI used is unwatchable [the dinosaur cgi].
• Sound 8 Very Good
The ops and ends were one of the better things about the show, OSTs were also good.
• Character 7 Good
Naofumi [MC] is a good character, throughout the show his character is getting tested, he is not the cliché pervert MC we see in this kind of show.
Rapthalia actually has some character developments, she has a story arc which follows the 24 episodes.
but on the other hand those two are the only ones, rest of the cast is horrible.
the other heroes are literally trash through the all episodes, no matter what happens they are useless.
the B1TCH princess was actually good, she kept the interest in the show, getting me infuriated each episode.
• Enjoyment 7.5 pretty Good
Neglecting the boredom and lose of interest in the middle part of the series I enjoyed it, but I am not considering watching another season of it, for me this ending was good and I have no further interest in the show
• Overall 7.5
