I'm writing this review for everyone who clicked on this entry for a nostalgia trip and was disappointed in one way or another. For a short background of the singer, She is an Utaite named Lon (ろん) that covers many songs from other artists or vocaloids.
A lot of people don't understand that this cover isn't a tribute to Jude and Mary's legacy or Rurouni Kenshin rather it was chosen because it referenced animals in the lyrics. Although I can't say that it wasn't chosen for its popularity.
Every song in this album is a popular song one way or another that references animals in
...
the lyrics. Another notable song that she covers in the album is "Blue Bird" by Ikimono-gatari, third opening for Naruto Shippuuden.
I do agree that the jumbled 'wubs' wasn't the best decision in the world however, I did enjoy the singing that's quite on par with her content in general. How some people received it as "nails on a chalkboard", I assume they dislike it because it doesn't fit their niche or did not mesh well with their nostalgia factor but the vocal range of the song in wasn't much different than the original.
Overall, I believe it holds its own and is a great cover. If you liked the song (aside from the 'wub' , feel free to check out her other songs. If you disliked it, thanks for giving it a shot.
