Putting it down here to say that I DO NOT SHIP Kirishima x Yoshino! Shouma x Yoshino is wayyy better!
HEADS UP BEFORE YOU READ ON! I WILL YABBER ON ABOUT THE MAIN CHARACTERS WITH A BIT OF SPOILERS CAUSE I NEED TO LET OFF SOME STEAM!
OK but like seriously...what is there to like about Kirishima? I bet his body count is skyrocketing for a 17/18 year old - both ways by the way if you get me cause of his background.
I watched this because number one, it's about yakuza's and I got intrigued when I saw the main leads were getting introduced to each
...
other as potential marriage partners.
Number two, yeah...the romance. (I really need to stop getting baited by Yakuza "romance" genres cause they've disappointed me twice - you can go to my reviews to see what the other one was or make a wild guess.)
Frankly, I'm not a fan of fornication so I guess this also supports my argument and can be seen as to why I am iffy about this series.
I simply don't like this masochistic ML. I know and have digested the idea that prior to FL and ML becoming a couple, him sleeping around is acceptable as it is not as if he was being unfaithful. But let me just argue with this. He claims to like Yoshino. It would be common sense that one would want to avoid doing anything (especially sleeping around) that could potentially invoke a feeling of hatred or disgust particularly if you have confessed to that person about it). He did point this out in one of the episodes asking FL if it angered her. However, yes. This is just typical yakuza behaviour.
Why I say Shouma is better, is because he is chill, cooler and gets along with FL at a platonic level and a possible furthering of their relationship. He's sooo much more faithful compared to ML. (End of Ep.11 confirmed it for me)
I'm just surprised that FL was so chill about ML spending his nights with other girls...I'd say adios in a jiffy! Then again, "typical yakuza behaviour". ML was protective of FL in a yandere like way and I feel he did care for her. Just couldn't ignore what he's done so far...basically, he ruined my experience!! The series itself is okay though, so whether I would rewatch it is still an unknown. Can't say it was the best or the worst.
Solid overall rating: 6.5
Once again, ML is incorrigible. I literally don't know if he will continue to do the fornication stuff since he is now in a relationship. Enlighten me if he stops.
If you read this ramble, thank you...

I initially watched this due to the high rating. Quite a high expectation I set for this anime. As a result, the psychological aspect got to me so much I felt like my brain was malfunctioning like the loading screen that comes up every once in a while due to poor connection.
Since I watched this a long time ago, I will give this a short review. It was a hurdle. I only managed to climb over it due to perseverance. I found out after watching this anime that I am most certainly not a fan of psychological genres. They really hurt!! And time-travel? It only
...
made it worse...
What can I say? I'm not the sharpest needle around. I eventually handled it in the end but yeah, this isn't my cup of tea.
Good for you though if those people like this so much however, I'm not one of them.

If life is too fast for you, come and watch this. Want something sentimental? This is it. Want something thrilling? This is not it.
I'm surprised though, that MAL has kept up a high rating of over 9 for this anime since the start of airing period till now...
Let's keep this nice and simple, shall we?
This is clearly overrated. Sorry to burst the bubble of those who have given it such high scores, but I'm trying to be as prudent as possible and personally I do not see this as an anime that should get such a rating (as much as it breaks my heart
...
to say this). Mine is an 8 (still pretty high not going to lie) and I think this is decent enough as it is. Any lower or higher seems like overkill. I can see why it is rated so highly but this is probably just being over-hyped.
Yes, I enjoyed it too. I actually binged it because the storyline was solid and kept me going. I was never bored. There was plenty of character development and these are the few factors that contributes to a good anime. (And a little side note, I did cry on the first episode.)
I can sing this anime with praises as it is most certainly extremely unique compared to an abundant number of anime's out there. Refreshing, sentimental and tranquil. The best thing about this anime too is that it went over the usual number of episodes per season e.g 12 or 24. It really slowed down and made sure to not rush things. So huge pat on the back for that! Now...I can't find much to critisize and I know that what I've said contradicts my former statement but I hope people can understand that I do agree it's a good anime but the rating is a little too high. Honestly, the rating made me ask "why is it so high?" so I kept it on my 'to watch' list when it finished airing and I still ask this even as I write this up. I would say, something is missing...plenty of other anime can make it to my rated '8' list. Personally, this anime has left a nice impression, but a deep one? Sadly not. (Try to amuse me with your recommendations if you disagree with what I've said so far!)
Overall, although I would recommend it to people, I will try not to over-hype this and keep it to a minimal. Everyone's taste is just that different. It was a satisfying anime till the end and I look forward to a (hopefully) 2nd season!

Realism. Honestly, I did think this when I looked at the tags for this anime. Despite its low overall rating on MAL, I gave it a go anyways since this anime is not a simple fantasy special-power like anime. I needed something ordinary.
My first impression came about pretty well. It was so far so good. Until I reached a certain episode where an earthquake occurred and our 2 main leads were rescuing the people who got trapped underneath the soil. I was actually very confused why they thought using a metal pipe would help one breath when they don't know where exactly they are pushing
...
that pipe towards. Apparently they managed and the person was breathing for a bit?? I didn't quite get this scene at all. I believe the details were intentionally left out and in the manga these little details would've helped a lot in this case.
Another super bizarre episode was when one of the main leads who was in an electricity filled room somehow with enough force from a falling pebble made the main lead sway to one side whilst hanging onto dear life on the rope and somehow managed to stop the swinging when he was about to collide against the wall which was right in the centre of the room. Gravity somehow chose to stop the collision before impact, right in the centre of gravity. This actually made me laugh. I recommend the episode honestly because the "realism" I had hoped was thrown in my face.
Okay. I know after saying all of this, the impression being given off seems pretty negative. Don't get me wrong, I'm just complaining about these few scenes. I mean, this is a 23 episode anime, and only those few scenes left a peculiar reaction. This is actually a decent anime. Having a rating lower than 7...well I feel I can understand that but maybe it deserves a little more credit. Yes, the animation is actually slightly not the most impressive, and I also wish they did this anime a little more justice. Voices was good and Shun is the best boy in this anime! He is the forest itself. Although not the brightest chap, he has a heart of gold. I cannot believe what kind of character he is and honestly wish that people can learn from his mental state. Allow me to elaborate a little more. Despite, for example, misunderstanding a situation, once realising the mistake he made, he always wants to correct the mistake. This could be through actions and saying it out loud. He looks into others' perspectives, and through that realisation, he grows. He is also a crybaby. Yes. This is getting biased now but having a guy who can cry for his friends...how good is he? He takes understanding someone to a new level. Not simply a nodding of the head and saying 'I understand'. No. He goes deeper than that. Admitting he doesn't know the feeling but being willing and open that the other party is going through a hard time, and understanding where they are getting their thoughts and feelings from.
So my final thoughts, it's been a decent journey. If they come out with a 2nd season, I'd be glad to join in the watch party. Not the most heart throbbing anime and I most certainly was not very consistent whilst watching this. But it was a good time killer and Shun was definitely a character that kept me going. Not a complete waste of my time, I'd say.

This is hands-down the cutest thing I've ever read! It's just so freakin' adorable?!
But before I go on, if you're someone who is a little or very uncomfortable with 'furries' in addition to an interspecies relationship, then yeah, you might want to stay away from this...BUT I'm telling you now, you'll be missing out big time!
Drama? Barely any. Communication? Perfect score! This includes being open to their weaknesses and confronting them. I'm telling you, this is such a chill manga and almost every panel just makes me smile~
So basically, this story is set in a world where beasts and humans are coexisting. However, it
...
is not full of dandelions and roses where equality is so easily achieved amongst these 2 different species. The beastfolk are by far superior than humans thanks to their unique characteristics and keen senses allowing them to stand above the human race. Thanks to this flawed system, humans are belittled to the point where they are constantly discriminated against. This situation reflects Saki's current predicament. However, a light seems to shine through and a life-changing offer from her CEO grants her a chance to stand up straight and prove herself worthy of being by the CEO's side despite the number of disapproving comments that they will receive.
We basically just see the development of both the CEO's and our FL's relationship, and honestly the fluffiness, innocence, overwhelming sweetness you get from reading this...I literally can't get enough!!
Now as to why:
*minor but nothing big spoiler* CEO lion king is an extremely kind hearted being. His personality is absolute perfection. Though he is slightly needy and actually finds it hard to control his feelings, he's literally a cinnamon-roll. Scary on the outside but sweet on the inside. (Just imagine hugging his huge body with those fur!)
FL is strong in her own way. Persevering (I don't know how long) through the amount of discrimination and actually did try to stand up for herself (eventually backfiring). She's certainly not a hateful character and does not want to rely on others in the name of trust due to past trauma. She's a very stubborn one in such a harsh environment because if you asked me to try to withstand being in that same place, I'd be out in a blink of an eye. So how can one hate her when she's honestly doing her very best to get herself acknowledged?
Edit: IT UPDATED RECENTLY AND I FINISHED THE UPDATED PARTS BUT THERE'S STILL MOREEE!!! I'M WAITING FOR MORE!!! PLEASEEEE! Again, I'LL EVEN PAY FOR MORE UPDATES! m( _ _ )m

This anime was one that I anticipated before it was aired...
I've now finally completed it after some ups and downs, I can honestly say that I am happy for the couple now. (This should be plainly obvious from the poster.)
So onto my viewpoint. I can honestly agree that this anime really gave off at first the most "disgusting" vibes thanks to the ML.
SPOILER ALERT: He clearly claimed that he saw her as like a "daughter". Now there is nothing wrong with that and if they kept up this relationship up a lot longer, I wouldn't even care because it has undoubtedly been unambiguous that
...
they do have a good relationship going even without the "romance" being thrown in. HOWEVER, this is not a "childcare" tag anime. It's a romance. The FL likes the ML and she's been at it for a good number of years. Those who have watched, saw how pretty icky the guy is. He at one point said to the FL - early into the anime by the way - asking if he could kiss her...like...mate are you kidding with me right now?? That put me off A LOT. Prior to watching the anime, I saw how lowly rated the anime was. I was like "why? there has to be a good reason behind this". I watched and eventually that fateful episode graced my eyes and ears with it's presence and I completely understood the rating. Brooooo this felt like incest! This brings me back to my argument over the vibes that this anime has so nicely let me witnessed.
Thanks to that, I actually had to pause for a while before continuing because I felt I had to start touching grass.
I digress. I had to start making myself empathise with this guy. I mean, surely he wasn't brought up in an environment with some kind of ethical values drilled into him. I don't know if this guy's been to school before, but I can say that that one episode additionally made me think, "he's curious". This is also very clear in further episodes where he has said similar things that goes beyond the line of being an acting maternal parent. With no one being able to guide him properly, he's bound to say extremely ludicrous things that'd make me want to regurgitate.
My point is that, it's not entirely his fault that he is the way he is. BUT STILL. It's very uncomfortable to know this unsettling situation going on at that point in time. The good side behind this is that THEY ARE NOT RELATED! So personally that fact unquestionably abetted me and allowed me to continue further into the deep abyss hoping to see some kind of positive development.
After this long ramble, I can say without doubt that this is an anime I probably may not rewatch for a good while. Or I might choose to never rewatch. It's a tough one after coming to a conclusion on what kind of guy the ML is.
Would I recommend? Probably not...the ML really did make me go "eww". But if you're someone who can overcome that, go ahead and watch because the ending is a happy one.
If you got this far into reading my review, thanks~~

Drumroll pleaseee~
This is officially my first BL I've ever watched and review of one.
Now for starters, I'd recommend to ALL BL lovers. BUT, I of course won't recommend to anyone who ain't one. But if you're someone who's reading this and isn't a fan of one, I just want to ask, 'why on earth are you here?' The answer is, you must be intrigued one way or the other.
So as someone who didn't initially want to watch BL's, was cause I felt a little uncomfortable with that idea. However, after having slow increase of exposure to this kind of genre, I felt I could
...
give it a watch. But more than just wanting to watch a BL, I was actually drawn to the story that this anime had in store for me. It first started with a clip which I unintentionally watched and it slowly enticed me. People commented how amazing this anime was and so on so forth. They baited me. So here I am writing a review on my thoughts of this anime.
I would say this was a good BL. I unfortunately cannot say that this was the best BL I've ever watched as this was practically my first one which was proper hardcore. But the story was interesting and the characters were...uhh naive? To be honest though, if none of the events ever happened both Mignon and Young-on would never have gotten that ending they were granted. (So uhh, good for them)
Would I watch this again?
Most likely yes, when I feel like it.
My Note:
HOW ON EARTH DID I WATCH THIS ANIME ON A NORMAL ANIME WEBSITE?? I DON'T GET IT! THIS THING WAS RATED 18+ FOR A REASON AND I PROMISE TO YOU, MY CONCERN SKYROCKETED CAUSE KIDS COULD BE BROWSING THE SITE TOO ┑( ̄Д ̄)┍。(or it's just me who doesn't watch enough 18+ stuff to know how perturbing this actually is...and call me innocent for thinking that it was 18+ due to violence and gore not because of explicit content...smh)

MUST say this first but if you're homophobic even the slightest bit, I won't recommend this. Now, it is soft BL and does contain references of it being there, however it shouldn't affect your overall watching experience and if you think about it, just think of it as them being super friendly as they aren't in an intimate relationship yet.
Now onto what I think. (I've been meaning to write this for a long time but just never had the time to so here I am with a very late review...)
I freakin' love this anime!! My rating says otherwise only because I am craving for more.
...
Clearly this season left me a good amount of questions such as how Xian Le became a lowly ranked individual when he was once a god, despite that we do witness for a couple short seconds of how much he was loved when he was a god. So I am hoping that the 2nd season will reveal the history a little more (and 2nd season is ongoing as I am writing this which I cannot wait to binge watch!)
I totally did not know what to expect when I first began but just wanted to watch it out of curiosity. For example, my first soft BL was Mo Dao Du Shi. However, I was a little disappointed...I don't know whether the story was not captivating enough or what, but it left me a confusing impression towards the very end. Then I came across Tian Guan Ci Fu. Not knowing at all whether this will leave the same impression or not, I continued to watch. Till the last episode, I was in love. In love with the story; the characters; the music; the animation. Practically everything. I've rewatched this probably 3 times now and it will be the fourth time once I begin the completed 2nd season.
I was truly captivated by the main characters and was quite interested in their history and background. There's so much more to them than meets the eye and I hope to see further development in the story (and not going to lie, our two boy's relationship).
Just an extra little note for myself I want to leave behind *slight SPOILER*:
MY HEART BROKE WHEN HUA CHEN SAID HE WAS UGLY! WHEN WE GOT HIS FACE REVEAL AT THE END, I PROMISE I WENT NUTS AND KEPT COMPLAINING HOW THIS GUY IS FUDGING BEAUTIFUL!! (Then again, this man is in love so~) I EVEN THOUGHT TO MYSELF, I WISH THERE WAS A GUY THIS GOOD-LOOKING IRL TOO! HOW MUCH I WANTED TO DIVE INTO THE ANIME ITSELF TO SAY AND SLAP HIS HANDSOME SMUG FACE THAT HE'S FREAKIN' GORGEOUS AND HE SHOULD BE MORE CONFIDENT IN FRONT OF THE PERSON HE LOVES!! (But apparently he's well aware of his good looks...then again, him showing such a docile side to himself is very cute...)

Easily forgettable but certainly not hateable.
For now, let's forget about what other negative views say about this anime and look at it from a more realistic and impartial viewpoint!
I'll try keep this short aiming to only review this anime based on itself. By the way, I have watched this anime twice or thrice now, so I for one can say I do enjoy this anime. It gives me easygoing and cute vibes (which I will admit it's thanks to the animation too). However, I do not believe it is an anime to turn our heads 180° away from.
Honestly, I'm unsure why this anime is
...
so lowly rated but to me this is actually quite pleasant.
To summarise what this anime is about, a club called the 'Phantom-hunting club' consists of members who have special abilities and hunts down/seals phantoms who are causing mayhem. Following the daily life of Haruhiko Ichijo and the rest of the gang, we get to explore the works of phantoms and also how their own special abilities can influence their lives.
I'd say it's quite a simple anime, not overly complicated at all so I would recommend it as an off-day anime for its placid vibes especially if you don't have anything to watch then please, by all means, give this a go!
I'm obviously a little upset with the overall rating for this anime as I truly don't believe it deserves such an underrated rating. The anime is great for passing time and the characters for example, are quite loveable too. I also would like to add that the concept is quite unique which is nice as it gives me a sense of different pacing so what is there to hate?
So! Overall, I will recommend it with a kind reminder that although it is not a masterpiece, it still deserves a whole lot more than just hate based on much controversy.
Thanks for reading and I hope that this review helped in deciding whether to watch it or not!

I completely forgot that I gave this movie a rating of 10/10!! Not only that, but it is also my first 10 star rating out of all the hundreds of anime's I have watched! That's how good this movie is!
If you ever find the series, I highly recommend watching this one first because the series follows directly after despite their airing dates.
Why do I recommend this?
Story and the growth and development of the characters. It's touching! I won't spoil but I want to mention that I cried like there was no tomorrow when watched it for the first time. (So if you're someone
...
who cries easily, prepare some tissues...) The relationship between our two main characters, xiao hei and wu xian is so funny, cute, and sweet! This is clearly depicted throughout the majority of the movie, typically beginning with a horrible encounter but slowly through their journey, they start to enjoy each other's company and have begun to care for one another when faced with adversity.
I don't think there is anything lacking at all with this anime.
The animation is simple yet extremely fluid. Even an amateur can draw these characters with no problem! I love its simplicity so I feel it's very rare to come across anime's like this which feels very cartoony making it so unique unlike other anime's at first glance.
Of course, I feel like it's a "masterpiece", which is a rare thing even for me. I'm extremely strict when it comes to ratings so you cannot go wrong with this movie!
I don't believe I have another anime rated at 10 star yet either so...
