The very controversial ending to AOT can be summed up pretty easily. There are no fans that think the ending was decent. You either love it, or hate it. Those who love it, actually understand the story and the messages Isayama was trying to tell in the story. The ending to AOT was planned from the very beginning and it really shows. Those who hate the ending, are those who don't understand a single God damn thing in the world. Eren is the main character, that doesn't mean that he is the "good guy". Eren is very much a victim of a cruel world. But

in the end he did make the wrong decision. History and past aside you can't deny what Eren was doing was wrong, regardless of intention. You cannot justify genocide. The Yeagerists are nazi's, and Eren is Hitler. All of these Yeagerist fans are disgusting. I see them being racist, sexist, and things I can't even come up with a word for. I've seen Yeagerists come up with ways of torture for the alliance. I have seen many people say Mikasa should be r*ped, calling Onyankopon the n word, and using Eren as an excuse to be racist in general. That, you cannot defend. The AnR ending is a delusion, and was never the intention of Isayama. The AnR ending is horrible. AOT is a masterpiece from start to finish.
