H20 is so unique its hard to compare it to anything else. There was one manga it kind of reminded me of however, and that was Nana. The settings are completely different...H20 is high school where Nana is more of a after college story. The concept is what connects them and what i loved the most about both. The story isn't told from one side, it rotates between characters. You see how there life develops and how there relationship with one another evolve as time progresses.

I'm actually surprised no one recommended this. The guys are really similar, workaholics and from families with bigger businesses. Yukino is more independent than Karin but they both go through the struggle to become there own person. The relationships in both manga's are basically identical. The girls are hesitant, resistant [i found Karin in Kare first love to be incredibly annoying towards this issue...but you get through it] and the guys are pushy. The love that develops between them is genuine though which i think is where they are the most similar. Both decent reads if your into shoujo

Both are highschool romances, the timeline is fairly similar (high school through college-ish). I actually find the male leads incredibly similar, especially how they handle breaking off a relationship and putting all the weigh of a situation on themselves. Mika’s story is a little more eventful in terms of what happens during her high school life (more mature content also) but the love that’s thrown around in these stories is the same. Mika and Nanami never stop loving and wanting to be with that one person no matter what.
