Such an incredible and heartfelt manga. It’s rare to find manga that completely grips you from the first chapter and continue to have a chokehold on you as it progresses.
The artwork -first of all- is incredible. It’s the first thing you’ll notice when you start reading. The author captures the lonely summer atmosphere with luscious thick colours rarely seen in Japanese manga, and even in black and white the art consistently amazes me. It mixes both surrealism with the familiar manga art style and the results are a blend of unique, unforgettable illustrations.

Incredibly cute stories. Incredibly cute characters. Incredibly cute art. No plot but really, does it need one? My life has never been the same since I have met Kyuu-chan, 9/10 highly recommend to anyone who just wants an adorable slice of life manga with just. The best cat in the world. The simplicity of the manga works magically with the short and sweet stories between owner and cat, and the dynamic is chefs kiss. Every chapter is only a few pages long so even if you don’t have time, do check ...

Exceptionally fantastic art with rich colours is the main standout of the manga, and it’s really hard to believe this is the authors first manga (if I’m not mistaken).
Plot is decent if not dragging slightly after the first chapter, but hey it’s only been a few months since it’s started as I’m writing this review. The romance is refreshing not only because it isn’t the main focus (it’s a lot more focused on their individual lives and dreams) but because Aya and jun are subversive in their masculinity and femininity, but not in the usual femdom style seen in a lot of mangas(no offence ... |
