The obvious similarity between the two series would be the military setting (same age and everything) with some romance subplot. Apart from that, I can see where some would say that both shows are nothing similar. However, I would like to say that both shows display the same emotion which is based on "bonds" between people who each have their own way of living but ended up in the same place doing the same thing. In addition, the idea that there is more to this world that just meets the eye is also present in both series. In addition, the romance that plays out in 86 is very similar to how the romance plays out in this anime as well.

It tackles the same philosophy as Vivy: Fluorite Eye's Song i.e. advanced AI's role in a human society that depends on them. However, instead of using heart and song being the merge between AI and humans Beatless uses dedication to serve as its motive for extremely advanced AI's in which their observations and actions determine how society would benefit from the other AI as a whole.

Kakuriyo no Yadomeshi

At first, it may not seem they are similar since Kakuriyo no Yadomeshi is based on the realm where ayakashi live and Soredemo Sekai wa utsukushii is based on a fantasy world with many different kingdoms. However, the type of characters, development of characters and pacing for both stories for such developments are very similar. The heroine Nike also has an arranged marriage due to the circumstances she is in. As well as that her engagement partner is different to her in some way (characteristic wise). Despite being forced into the engagement she has a "tough to get" personalities and would prevent herself to follow the whims of her engaged partner who has the right/power to force her into marriage. This then sets the story of the heroine understanding, not only, her partner but also every other character that is connected to said partner as well as the new environment she lives in. For those who have finished Kakuriyo no Yadomeshi, I recommend watching this since it contains a romantic, shoujo, slice of life setting. The only difference is that it is not as long as Kakuriyo no Yadomeshi with the episodes, but it still contains a wave of emotions from beginning to end where you see how their relationship can easily change as well as slowly developing a closer bond between the two partners.
