Kokoro connect can and most likely will have a profound affect on many people. Kokoro literally means Heart; Mind; Mentality; Emotions; and Feeling. The connection of all those personal things being shared between 5 friends. All of this leading to them to either becoming closer to each other or losing faith in them.
The story is something of a hit and miss with me. The Story is very slow paced, each arc lasting 4 to 5 episodes. With each ending of an arc having lasting affects on a future one. Swapping bodies, Uncontrollable Impulses, Age regression, and finally Telepathy of inner
...
feelings. Each of these being a Catalyst for a specific characters story arc. The reason for my Hit and miss comment is that they didn't delve nearly deep enough into Taichi's psyche. I had to go back after i finished to remember why he feel like an Outcast. Overall though the story will make you remember, people will always have more than one side to them regardless how close you may be to them.
At the start of Kokoro I thought the Art was terribly sloppy for the 1st arc. But I was glad i stuck with it because it either grew on me, or perhaps is was that it matched the more comical side of body swapping, or maybe it just got better. I don't know. The characters aren't exactly eye catching either. Though I think it's better this way, just for fact that the characters have such colorful personalities, if they were drawn an any other way it would of taken something from that.
Kudos to the Japanese cast, there wasn't a single time in the whole show where i would do anything different. Double Kudos to you Heartseed you creeped me the hell out every time you spoke. The BGM isn't anything thing to sneeze at either, during some of the more intense scenes it worked really well.
Finally to the Character god i wish i could make this an 11. Each character is so well fleshed out that its almost criminal. The only person you don't really get to know is Heartseed but hes played so well it's forgivable. Whether a Character is so scared to the point of hiding herself in there room because she can't control themselves or someone so stressed out with worry they get sick, it's all shown to great affect. It's hard to hate any of the characters for to long just for the fact that Heartseed has such a hold on them you can almost feel the stress you would go through if you had to deal with it. I guess an a way I would of liked Taichi to be a little bit more broken. Just for the fact that everyone else has so much going on, he seems kind of out of place.
Besides the slight issues with me getting into the show due to the art, this will always stick with me where ever i go. I will most likely be getting this on DVD in the future and read some of the Light novels just because i want to spend a little more time with these characters.
So yes to Watch, Yes to Rewatch, and Yes to supporting it creator.

The whole story of Classroom of the elite is nothing all that special. It does put a little bit of it's own spin with the introduction of a point system for students that works as money outside of school, and a point system that is used to determine whether the Class as a whole is deemed better then the others. Unfortunately besides that, that's about all your going to get for exposition. For me i would of been more interested to learn more about who the school deems fit to be in specific classes.
Story 6. Despite the story having such
...
an interesting premise it doesn't delve nearly deep enough to be anything more then just Fair. I would say the biggest Flaw of this show is that it horribly paced. Almost all Plot lines that get introduced either last, way to long spilling over to the next episode or end abruptly for a conclusion in a later episode.
The first couple episodes didn't go through this problem but it does happen way to much to after the first 3 of so.
Art 6. Despite The Characters being well drawn the Backgrounds are absolutely terrible. It's hard to concentrate on a scene when everything behind the characters is extremely blurry. Blurry to the point its hard to tell where they are especially in later episodes, where this seems to be much more prevalent. If this does happen to get to get a 2nd season I would hope they get a better team together to fix it.
Sound 9. I was able to watch the show in Japanese and The Studio did an excellent casting for all the characters.
Characters 9. The biggest draw of this show is the characters, Ayanokouji seems like just your typical Stoic Protag but he does it to an almost next level extreme, to the point of being completely emotionless despite the situations he's in. He isn't what some people would call Over-powered though the story does kinda push him into that corner. He's careful and Methodical, he can't come up with solutions to everything on the spot but he will use everything around him including people to get there.
Hortika plays well off of Ayanokouji though her Brother-complex kind of hinders her development as a character. She has a bit of a Stoic personality as well though her Anxiety over trying to prove to herself to her brother makes her self-conscious.
Kushida has probably the 2nd biggest question mark surrounding her regarding her past. She seems to be the overly-friendly character that can get along with everybody, and she is. But as with most Characters that have the name Kikyou she also harbors a darker side that she prefers to not show.
If i could i would give the Characters a 10 but some of the Situations that happen due to the incompetence of the Side characters hurts.
The characters and the Voice acting drive this show. I know the Story seems kinda tacked on but it does help give the characters a reason for being. I can Defiantly see myself coming back to watch this again just for Ayanokouji and his Methodical Nature. I myself would be interested to see the advancement of each of these characters in 2nd season.

Tasogare Otome x Amnesia is the epitome of everything wrong with Anime that ends before the Manga. The story is wonderfully crafted for the 1st 5 or 6 episodes and turns into a mess of Story inconsistencies. The amount of times I looked to do anything else besides watch the latter half of this show grew with each episode.
The Art is so well done. The Reddish almost Autumn color tint that the show did at the beginning was so tasteful I truly wish they did it throughout the whole show. When the show tried showing the Madness of Side characters
...
it truly creeped me out. But as with the Story it just doesn't hold up. I don't know if they needed to rush it out or because they ran out of material from the manga. It's just a disappointment.
The opening song is fantastic though there wasn't anything special with the art in at as it seemed to just take a bunch of scenes from different episodes and cut them into it. I had the unfortunate opportunity of only watching this in English so besides Yuuko's and Kirie's voices they are the only ones that really stood out, but don't get me wrong Okonogi, and Niiya's are reprehensibly bad. But I'm not going to lower my score just because i didn't watch the show in Japanese so i will give it the shows average score of 8.
The worst part of this show is it's characters by far. Yuuko despite her best efforts can not save this cast. Okonogi's is fighting to be one of the most annoying characters in anime history. Niiya's development as a character is just not there. If anything it's worse then it was when the show actually started. Not to mention Kirie is just kind there, with no real development added to her character either. I have never seen a character get as much screen time as her and not have her time to shine.
What truly hurt the show was it's ending. I'm not going to go into any detail about it but I'll just say that if it wasn't for the ending i would of gave it a 7 Overall.

Grimgar does things only a few of it's anime ilk would dare try. Make it's Characters actually have to work to get stronger. Though it's kind of a double edge sword in certain aspects. The whole Story is just kinda....there. The whole from another world aspect seemed to almost be in after thought for the author. They all could of just been characters that were already part of this world and they grew up together. But to add that is just redundant. How'd they learn the language, do they know each other from there world, how did they even cross over? I don't know
...
if they will ever actually do something about that in the manga or possible other seasons but come on.
I love this art style. Some of the back drops for the fight scenes are fantastic, and the Characters are all drawn wonderfully. I only wish they would do something with the opening and closing. I haven't watched to many shows that have come out recently, but there so plain and uninteresting.
The Voice acting for the most part was alright though I would of done something different with Mary's character. It's just with every other character whether it be an emotional scene or a fight scene they would actually get be going as well, just not with her.
The Biggest draw back is the way they developed the Characters. I mean it felt like only Haruhiro had any real development through the main cast. But don't get me wrong here. Each of them has the own endearing moment in the show but when it comes to actually growing as a character it's almost non-existent. Then again when the author decides to make it a thing to where they are forgetting everything about the world they came from doesn't help them in the slightest.
There is no serious issues with Grimgar just nothing that will make you think back to it. I would be interested in finding out why they came to that world but i don't think the Author is. Binge watch the Show in an afternoon, and forget about it later.

I'm usually pretty indifferent about Genres be it Shoujo, Shonen, or Seinen as long as the Characters are Memorable and the and the Story knows the meaning of Consistency I can make a night of it. Yea....and this anime represents them for all the wrong reasons.
The story is your typical fan-fare for a Shoujo anime Plain looking girl falls for brutish handsome boy. The whole story line is absolutely forgettable. The fact that the Author decided to leash down the characters so much as to not deviate to far from the whole Studying plot line was a terrible idea.
The Art and the Sound design
...
is the only real selling point for this show. I could never really pinpoint and problems with the art style. All the Characters were very well designed and unlike most shows it seemed like they had a least a bit of a wardrobe. The voice acting seemed to have been spot on for all characters. Though the Opening and Closing songs is less then Memorable to me at least.
Now the Characters my god they are the most reprehensible pieces of trash. The only truly good characters in this show are Kenji Yamaguchi, and Asako Natsume Because they are the only one that seem to grow in any way. With them being only side characters does not bode well for any show.
Where the hell do i begin with Haru. Besides Hell which is where he will go when he actually kills someone in this show. He's absolutely Insane there is no redeeming this Scum bucket. I get it it's Shoujo and he's that way by design but Jesus would find it easier to let Lucifer back into Heaven. In 13 episodes his Growth should be more acquainted to a Heart rate monitor. It spikes up then dives back down and it repeats it self over and over again until he eventually Flat-lines.
Shizuku is a little bit better but she almost as detestable. Make up your mind already the moment you think shes finally going to move forward the Whole Studying plot Reels her right back into place.
If your looking for a good Shoujo anime look elsewhere but of you have sometime to kill, feel free.

Orange is a wonderful mix of everything that is right with Shoujo manga and everything wrong with Shoujo manga. Great Premise, horrible characters at least Naho and Kakeru are.
I can't talk about the Story though without talking about the Characters. As I said the Premise of the story is great and for some reason these always happen to hook me. But the way it seemed to only get dragged on by Characters that seem to act like there 6 and not 16 hurts the whole plot-line. So if your looking for consistency in your anime avoid this at all cost and just read the
...
manga i heard its a lot better though I'm skeptical.
The art is actually quite good for the most part it's Shoujo so they go for the lighter colors in almost all the scenes. But just like the Story and Characters it's inconsistent. Usually i can give it a pass but the amount of times where i ended up seeing faces that seem to be right out a 4th graders sketch book is ridiculous. I don't know if they were rushing it or what but the show is all the worse because of it.
I didn't have a problem with the Voice actors/Actresses though Kakeru's voice didn't exactly pop specifically in the more dramatic scenes. The Opening and Closing are just kind of there almost as a after thought.
I still thoroughly Enjoyed the story line despite Oranges many many flaws. I'm a sucker for happy endings. All I can say is if your coming for a Shoujo title then here it is. Problems and all.

There's something about Author and Artist Taishi Tsutsui that just naturally draws me to his manga. I have kinda dropped off of reading Manga for a while but the Art style and the Premise just got to me. This is the Third manga of his that i red: I finished Fukashigi Philia, and still i'm still getting through Esprit.
Right off the bat the manga kinda gets a hold of you with the plot were as 2 girls that are considered geniuses in 2 specific classes want to actually Major in there worst classes, and when i say
...
worst i mean comically bad test scores.
The art is fantastic the girls are very well designed and with only slight drops in quality when it comes to outside character for obvious reasons.
Now the biggest drawback is the development of the Characters, mainly the original 3 girls and the MC. But up until around Chapter 30 or so I probably would of scored this a 8 or 9 but the story is progressing for girl I don't exactly care for but....what are ya gonna do i have tastes.
I'm still Enjoying the manga thoroughly despite my griping. Im still holding out hope for my specific Coupling here.
I'm hoping the manga doesn't go to long on me cause if i get my wish this will have a place as one of the few series i actually buy to keep.

That me perference this by saying. There is no logic, reasoning, or basis for my score here. This is pure unadulterated Favoritism of the highest order. This is something that can't be explained by simply Critiquing it. This was the show, the first anime that was out of the main-stream for me. I look back at this show with the same rose colored glasses that I wore when I first watched it. So instead of giving you a reason to watch the show or have people rage over my blatant favoritism. I dare anyone to not look back at there 1st and not look back
...
at it as fondly as i do here. (Excuse the Sexual Innuendo of that statement)

Now, before any one rips into me about my score here let me say this.
I know this anime is based off a game. But guess what? The show understood that as well.
Story 10.
One of the biggest compliments I can give this show is that it almost followed the direction of the game to the letter. Game related events were shown in the Anime very closely, while some had to be cut for obvious time constraints and keeping the show to a proper length.
Art 8.
Now the art is quite nice for most part. But it unfortunately falls flat every now and then. It had
...
some lapses in quality even when something was the scenes main focus. When the Anime needed to focus more on fighting it staved itself away from to much flair for more of a Elegant look as to probably not task themselves to much.
Sound 10.
Now I watched the English Dubbed version of the show, just to put that out there. I thought the voice acting was particularly good, with the Studio vying to stay with the original voice cast instead of going in a different direction. The openings are extremely well put together. With the songs being in my rotation for when i'm driving. Even the Closing song which I don't usually give a second thought, was soothing.
Character 8.
This could of very well been a 9 if not for the fact that they stayed away from to much Romantic involvement. Chie is just to cute you here me! The biggest complaint is that all the side characters are leashed to some Cliche that they can't quite break. The Voice Acting did a lot to make the Characters roughest moments seem better and more refined.
Enjoyment 9.
This is not a 10 because I already knew where it was going and the fact that even the Casual anime watcher can see some of the hints and guess how the show will end. Nonetheless the amount of times i found myself thinking to myself made this show instantly Enjoyable. To me a show being Enjoyable is when it puts me into the MC shoes and my IF factor. (If it was me)
Overall 9.
If you love crime mysteries and Slice of life this show should be on your radar. Don't prejudge it just because it was a Game or you will sorely miss out. Now to find it on DVD.

What can you say about a show that seemed to be really popular at the time of release, but in reality only works cause the characters can sell well.
From the get go the Art felt incredibly sloppy. The 1st couple episodes where the studio should really be putting a lot of time and money into making it look as pristine as possible felt rushed.
The sound track was a let down as well the Background noise and music wasn't bad. But for a Anime centered more or less around music
...
(Despite what Yui thinks) I was quite disappointed. I would probably listen to almost any other anime's music track before i go to this one.
The Characters did grow on me despite my best efforts to hate the seemingly endless Cliches.
The biggest problem that i had with K-on was the pacing, Time skips are abound and you will have your head spinning from the 1st episode. I won't go into much detail, but be forewarned.
