These two shows are both popular examples of a certain type of supernatural stories that have become a staple of anime in the past few years. Mixing the mundane, calming feeling of the slice-of-life genre with a very distinctive supernatural element that you find only in anime and manga. The world is not as one-dimensional as you think and a roaming spirit might lurk in every corner. Only few humans can see them and only fewer are gifted enough to fight them, But drifting to the other side is not all fun and games because while our beloved heroes might have good intentions, there are people (or gods) out there whose intentions are not so pure and it is a protagonists responsibility to stop them! There are a lot of anime of that genres that you can watch but I personally find Noragami and KNK to be some of the most fun-to watch series this genre has to offer. With sleek visual styles courtesy of Kyoto Animation and Studio Bones, a balanced mixture of drama and action, and a dash of romantic undertones, Both shows will keep you entertained and maybe manage to make you chuckle and/or shed a tear in the process.

First of all, the artwork of these two manga series was so similar that I thought they were drawn by the same artist at first glance . The content is quite similar too ; a man is looking for a missing teenage girl who was abducted by a rapist . In Seizon Life it's the protagonist's daughter while in TQFTMG it's the protagonist's friend's daughter . Seizon life was better and more of a thriller .

In these two manga titles you'll find a regular japanese working man who gets his life turned upside down by an unexplainable event . And he has to dig deep down in his own past to look for clues leading him towards understanding what really happened . From Meeting old teachers to looking up old photographes . Reflecting on their own pasts along the way and thinking about the little details of their lives that once seemed unimportant .

- Similar setting and atmosphere: Mid 20th century Japan, which means the characters in these two shows face the same kind of struggles; the after-WW2-poverty and the absence of fathers for some reason or another. - Music—jazz—is present in both series, more in SnA of course. - They will give you the same warm, sad, yet beautiful feeling while watching. - Real BROMANCE, friends through good and bad who support each other more than brothers do. - Finally, I personally consider both to be bright examples of modern time classics; so wonderful and classy, a must watch for serious anime fans.

The loss of mothers plays a significant roll in shaping the characteristics of the protagonists of these two shows. The main characters are enrolled in some kind of military because of personal reasons and are fighting against supernatural enemies. The setting is an alternative steampunk-ish world with the similar use of tools and weapons. Both are considered shounen anime but tend to look like a seinen because they feature above-average violent situations and epic fights but also deep conversations and some philosophy about the human mentality. The animation is not really that similar but the coloring is, using earthy and dusty color almost always.

They both are created by the same mangaka, so the art and the atmosphere are identical. Both of these two titles deal with a bittersweet relationship between a sad, mysterious male and a female. They will leave you with a very strange "sad but good" feeling. Personally, I prefer Kon no Ki Konoha, but if you liked one of these two, you'll like the other for sure.

Both deal with immortality, an all-cure elixir, and alchemy. Both are great anime with unique and wonderful characters, great animation, very well done fights, and violence & blood scenes. The first thing that comes to my mind when I watch Baccano! is FMA brotherhood. ;)

Both of them are one-episode anime that have everyday school life in one scene and action, supernatural in the other. The art is somehow similar too.
