So I decided to make a review on Shinsekai Yori (From the new world). I finished the anime yesterday and I must say really touched me. Why? I will explain :)


Story: 10

This the story starts a bit slowly and that can make people drop this anime, but I must say if you like mysteries than you should watch it. This anime starts progressing a lot when the 12 year old's goes to 14 year old's. It can be a little turn off with the girls love and boys love, but those so called love won't last long. After episode 6 the story begins to roll. ... That's when you need to pay attention. Because this anime is not just a some weird story it really is dark and moody. It tells a lot about how humans make things easier for themselves which makes this story believable.

Art: 9

The art isn't very good, but definitely isn't bad either. What made me like this art was the fighting scenes. They were made realistically so that it seemed the children with power were not immortals either. It isn't much I can say about the art it was good.

Sound: 9

The soundtracks were made just for this anime. They were dark and moody. They were the ones that showed at the start that this anime won't be pretty. Soundtracks were made really well considering the surroundings of the villages and that mysterious aura.

Characters: 10

The characters had developed in the series. You could see the changes when there was a jump from years to years. The main characters were good. Saki(heroin) was not the strongest she cried and solved the problems after that. She is strong minded and persistent. She was a type of anime girl that I like.

Enjoyment: 10

I really did enjoy this anime because it left me wondering episode after episode what will happen next. The first ending song was catchy and made me want to look for the next episode. I started slowely and didn't know what to expect, but after it got interesting I watched 20 episodes through one day. I loved it, and the ending was what I wanted. It showed cruelty of humans.

Overall: 10

The anime was good, even through it started slowly. I liked it and next day I found myself searching for an anime like this. This anime was unique, the theme children with powers is normal, but the way this anime was presented was a win. I like both the sound and art. Thats why I give it a 10.
I recommend this anime to you and I hope you will enjoy just as much as I did :)

This story have made cry and laugh and just from the beginning I already knew that it won't be like any other Shoujo Manga.


Story: 10

The story really got me into it. I am a real sucker for romance and it was really a something I could not get my eyes of. After I read this story I noticed something and that was where the player girls come from. Yet the story was sad and there were really times that I hated some characters, but even the end was perfect. When every little piece of the story came together I really felt like this is ... "One of a hack of Masterpiece". There were twists and things you couldn't predict.

Art: 9

The Art was really great. It showed the changes in characters through the story and It really showed what the characters felt through some scenes.

Character: 10

You see a lot of development through the story. How people change and get mature. The main characters were really great. The girl was like a girl and the boy was really like a boy. It amazed me sometimes, how much they sacrificed for each other and how strong their love is. Strong Female lead and Strong Male lead.

Enjoyment: 10

As I said from the beginning I cried and kept whispering the word "cute". I really felt like I was with the characters when things happened. The feelings when I finished the Manga were also Love, Sadness, Enjoyment. Really kept me through the whole thing captured inside.

Overall: 10

A Manga that I really recommend to anyone. It is really nothing like a typical shoujo. It will surprise you and before you' ll know you are already there when it's happening.
