After years of waiting, the second season of Attack on Titan is finally out. It, like every other anime, has its flaws and strongpoints.

Let's start with the good things. The character development is superb and I was very glad that it wasn't focused on Eren, Mikasa, and Armin. Instead, we got to learn more about other side characters, such as Ymir, that weren't featured heavily in the first season. Killing isn't easy. Even if you hate that person. Even if that person wronged you before. After all, you are still taking a person's life. Justice isn't an excuse. Nor is "the world is better of without them." When I first read the summary of Akame ga Kill! I was hoping this series would explore the topic of killing. Perhaps reveal the difficulties and controversial role of being an assassin. Sadly, I was quite disappointed. Against my hopes, the characters mostly kill without hesitating. This series is not at all deep and you can pretty much watch it without thinking or having an existential crisis. ...
