This anime has received some very harsh and negative reviews, which i cannot agree with at all, to be perfectly honest i would definately put this up in my top 10 animes. To start off i am a guy and from the get go you will notice this anime has been made with the focal audience being male, although many females will still enjoy this but i know some people do not like the 'fan service' (although its not that frequent or mature), and some of the themes and references to do with some of the story and interactions between characters. Elfen Lied is a must watch anime! if your not afraid to see some blood and to be emotional torn and attached!
Art work in this may be a little old but i think it still looks great and fits the environment and atmosphere created in this anime, it gives a nice aesthetics to it. Characters in this story vary and in a good way, you will find your self getting attached to them and actually feeling emotions for them. The story it self is very... sad, dramatic and depressing in a sense, yes this anime does contain some very disturbing and adultish content but these are essential ...

Ah my Goddess is a very enjoyable anime especially if you just want to sit back and relax and watch something less serious, It has lot of funny and quirky moments which will leave a smile on your face and wondering what will happen next!
This anime is very hard to review without spoiling to much though, Some people may find the character progression in this series a little slow and tedious but If your like me you wont mind this as even the filler episodes are decent to watch and will keep you entertained.
