This manhwa has some really great art right off the bat. It's one of the reasons I kept going with it till the end. As a fan of romance-isekai or villainess stuff, I approached this similarly. I was very glad to find out that this show didn't follow the usual tropes of "I read a novel/played a game and now I'm the princess or villaness" but instead its just a normal isekai to another world. The entire romance is based on the characters falling for each other when they know more about each other.
So because of that there are really few moments where the characters ... get all depressed and start avoiding each other just running around in circles and wasting chapters. The story focuses on the rest of the world and its development while occasionally testing their relationship without making a hassle out of it.
The story maintains a good pace until the last 20 chapters where it's somewhat rushed and a bit cringe in some moments.

Overall tho it was a really fun and enjoyable read. If you're looking for really intense drama between the characters, this probably isn't for you.

Sadly... It's here. The first bad season of The Irregular at Magic High School.

This season unlike its previous seasons decides to trace us to the 'Actual' main villain who receives no character development whatsoever and is just this mysterious, handsome, butler, who serves a mummified kirito who has had to much VR and also shows us no version for his side of the story for why he does what he does.

The season is incredibly rushed and it hurts it more than other shows. For a show that carries complex world elements on top of politics, strategies, and tactics based on those elements, the ... rushing made it all incredibly hard to absorb and for anyone watching this airing would literally forget everything that happened in the previous episodes.

Most characters didn't develop much after S1, S2 took this down a further notch, and S3 has completely abandoned the idea and instead introduces new characters that are just cute/handsome with no real back stories that would make us feel for these characters in a show filled with so much complexity.

The art drops somewhat after ep 5, with attention to detail in a character's appearance which makes it harder to understand their emotions along with some weird faces in the distance, in action scenes, and even weirdly drawn hands.

The show has some saving grace in its comedy moments with the characters it built in S1 and 2 but those were reduced in S3 as well to give the big bad more screen time. The soundtracks have also gotten quite meh compared to those of the first 2 seasons.

To conclude, this show can be very successful if it takes its time showing us those slow mos in previous seasons about how the complex elements let battles shift in another's favour, or impact politics and world dynamics. The art level drop also made it very hard to watch. With the incredibly rushed and boring season this was, unless the LN fanbase support is heavy which idk about, idk if there will be another season.

It uses almost every cliche there is in a "hero and maou" + "villainess" animes, which would be fine, but the portrayal is terrible, the art sucks in a lot of moments, the CGI is 🤮, and every possible emotional character development is shunned by the mc being dense af and making jokes about how self-aware she is of what's gonna happen next.
The secondary characters have no character development, and even the primary characters don't develop much other than just a change of attitude due to admiration of the MC by the end of the episode. No character development for them from that point onwards.
There ... really isn't any good action scenes either cz when you're lv99 everyone just a pleb, but they still build up to it.
