I really liked this manga series, until I reached the end. I won't write an extremely long-winded review, but I would like to preface this by saying that I only just finished reading Sexless Friend about an hour ago, so my review may not be entirely impartial. There will also be a paragraph with spoilers in it where appropriate, so you have been warned.
---Story--- 7/10
I liked the story, it had a good premise and it worked well. My main complaints with the story is that; a) it was too short, and b) I didn't like the ending. I will go more into detail on the
...
ending in a spoiler paragraph. As for the length, it felt like the manga would have benefited from being at least 10 chapters or so longer, and I think that the shortness of the series hurt the story overall.
**spoilers for the ending -- YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED**
Let me just say this, I reeeeeally did not like the ending. This is just personal preference, but it's just that I think that he ended up with the wrong girl. Of all the characters, Kizaki was one of the least developed characters. She almost felt like a side character more than a main character. I also didn't like how after being confessed to, she freaks out and actually says "I hate you" and "I can't accept your love" , then she just does a COMPLETE 180 degree turn. We also didn't even get to see her reply to his confession, we just assumed that she said yes because in the last chapter they are together at the school.
It was one of those endings that make you go, "Really? That's it? What about..."
That's about it, other than that I liked the story.
**end of spoliers**
---Art--- 8/10
The art was pretty good, and it had some really good scenes. However, it wasn't anything AMAZING. Not too much to comment on.
---Characters--- 9/10
If there is anything that they did well in this manga it's the characters. I feel like I really know the main protagonist and the other main characters. Kakei Hidetaka also did a really good job of creating tense situations, and awkward encounters.
---Enjoyment--- 8/10
The ending aside, I rather enjoyed the first 13 chapters. Not too much to talk about here.
---Overall--- 7/10
Although I really enjoyed it and I loved what the Kakei Hidetaka was able to do with his characters, the ending is really holding back my overall score of this manga. It was definitely a good read and I would recommend that everyone should read it, but it's not for everyone and the ending was unsatisfactory (in my opinion, others will likely disagree with me).
---------------------------------
I normally don't write reviews, but since this seems to be lacking anything resembling an impartial review (the only other review is a fanboy jizzing all over himself, giving the manga an overall "1000000/1" score).
Please don't give this review a "not helpful" rating just because you disagree with my assessment, give it if you genuinely think that my analysis was unfair and/or biased.

Before I even start, I'd like to say that this is strictly my opinion. Feel free to disagree. I will try to avoid spoiling the story, but if you are afraid of spoilers you might want to be careful when looking through the reviews.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------
Story: 7/10
The story in Zetsuen no Tempest had a really great start, lots of twists and turns along the way. From the start you can tell that they are just ordinary teenagers, who find themselves in unfortunate circumstances. After watching the first two episodes, I was hooked. There was good character progression as the show went on, but somewhere along the way
...
it feels like the characters seemed to lose themselves, and their action became predictable and standard. It changed from something unique into a typical "gotta save the world" shounen.
Without trying to spoil the show for anyone, the ending was a let down. There was so much hype and buildup leading up to the ending, but after watching it I asked myself, "Wait, that's it? But... What?". I would compare Zetsuen no Tempest to Soul Eater. I really enjoyed Soul Eater, but it's pretty much universally agreed-upon that the ending was lackluster.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------
Art: 8/10
I really enjoyed the art style. It was bright, it was beautiful, and it had a lot of colour. Nothing much more to add, it's nothing revolutionary but it is definitely an aesthetically pleasing show.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------
Sound: 7/10
The sound in Zetsuen no Tempest was excellent. Very crisp, good voice acting, and the ambient sounds set up the scene in many cases.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------
Character: 9/10 (Slight spoilers. If you don't want to have any kind of spoiler, don't read past the first paragraph of this section.)
I touched on it a bit in the story section, but I loved the characters. They all felt "real" in their own way, and you saw a great progression in several of the characters as they are forced to adapt to their circumstances. Yoshino and Mahiro in particular show great changes in their character throughout the show, and I loved seeing it.
I do have a few complaints though. The most prominent being about Hakaze. She is introduced portrayed as the strongest mage of the Kusaribe clan, and she seems like a very strong and independent person who is forced to rely on Mahiro and Yoshino, but later on in the season as Hakaze begins to develop feelings for Yoshino, she stops being that strong-willed person that she is portrayed as in the start of the anime. She becomes completely devoted to Yoshino, and again becomes that shounen stereotype love interest.
-------------------------------------------
Overall: 7/10
I would definitely recommend this to anyone who is either new to anime, or is looking for something to fill up time. This is by no means a masterpiece, it definitely has it's faults. If I could rate it on everything up until the last few episodes, Zetsuen no Tempest would definitely get a 9/10 for me. However, I cannot bring myself to award anything higher than a 7/10 to an anime with such a disappointing ending.
Although I definitely had issues with the ending, that did not stop me from enjoying the show and the fantastic buildup to the ending. Again, the ending wasn't the best. It felt too rushed, crammed into a single episode.
If you are into your shounen, or you want to recommend a show to someone new to anime, Zetsuen no Tempest is a good bet.

I'm the kind of person who would never, ever give anything a perfect score. Games, Movies, Anime, pretty much everything I can find flaws and problems with it. But I found it really difficult to find anything at all negative to say about Steins;Gate.
I absolutely loved the characters. The story was really engaging, and when a character felt panicked or sad, you felt it too. I found myself tearing up many, many times throughout the anime.
The only thing that I could nit pick at is that nothing feels permanent. There are some characters who will go unnamed that I think should not have been
...
able to be undone, but I think that that is part of what made the story so rich and enchanting.
This is the ONLY anime that I have ever seen that will ever get a 10/10 for me. They did absolutely nothing wrong with this show. After watching the last episode, I felt that emptiness inside that you get when an amazing thing comes to an end. That is how I judge whether an ending was good or not. If the ending left me thinking, "What is there to do now?" after watching it, the feeling that you've lost your sense of direction I know that it was a fantastic ending.
I have high hopes for the movie that is aparently in production. Steins;Gate is now my favourite anime I have ever watched and I don't see anything knocking it down from its pedestal anytime soon.
