While the concept of the show was something iv'e never heard before, i found the whole thing to be rather mediocre.
The story was typical of a shonen, nothing that special. It's the setting that really makes this show stand out. The ludicrousness of people beating each other up for half-priced lunches was quite enjoyable. I especially liked how the characters took it so seriously. Unfortunantly, the characters were nothing special. They were all basic archetypes. I felt they might've been trying to make fun of the common anime archetypes but i fail to see where they

This was one of the most enjoyable viewing experiences I've ever had with an anime.
The story was simple and easy to follow, yet executed well enough to not just hold my attention, but suck me in. The action was outstanding. The fights were easy to follow and beautifully animated. The story around the fights never dragged, never got boring. The music was fantastic; fit the mood perfectly and was just a pleasure to listen to. With 5 episodes, you'd think the characters would either have little to no personality or have an incredibly rushed back story. Nope. The animation is some of the best ... May 11, 2012
Aishiteruze Baby★★
(Anime)
add
Your standard shojo, Aishiteruze Baby is about Kippei, a teenage ladies man, who comes home one day to find that he is now in charge of taking care of his kid cousin Yuuzyu. This anime is packed to the brim with “Aww” moments. So if you like cute shows definantly check it out but beware; this anime takes several extremely dark turns. The romance scenes are cute despite the love interest being pretty cold to Kippei (but with his reputation that doesn’t surprise me). The art was mediocre at best and the music was your normal shojo stuff. I am not a shojo fan.

Abenobashi Mahou☆Shoutengai
(Anime)
add
Another series by pure awesomeness incarnate Gainax. Abenobashi is a crazy adventure about two tweens, Arumi and Sasshi, who somehow get sucked into an alternate dimension and their quest to get back home. Each alternate dimension is a parody of a certain genera. Reminiscent of other Gainax works such as FLCL, this series is pure wacky perverted humor though Abenobashi defiantly has a more easy to follow plot. And, of course, the animation is beautiful. So if you like action shows and perverted randomness check it out!
