Things with this anime is: it is hot-blood, a bit cliche, very fluid action scene, smooth like Stein Gate, and does the job well as an anime.
I mean, the pacing of the whole anime is so nice. It is very enjoyable to watch through this popular shouen.
Yes, I know the story is not as great as Fullmetal Alchemist, but as a general audience I found the Art, All the BGM (if you noticed that the name "porno graffitti" appear in the opening of the Anime, trust me you can google the name safely haha, I tried it, trust me.), the way they present this anime,

Shinsekai yori

Harsh, perfection, desperate, flawless, dark, superstitious, mystery, provoking, thrilling, soul-crushing, depressing. Those are the word I will use to describe Shinsekai yori. This anime is really heavy. It evokes a lot of uncomfortable and uneasy topics, and puts a spotlight on the depravity of mankind and humanity. It sheds a light on the various attitudes of humans toward different kind of issue and their need to dictate everything.
The problem that arises during the anime is always a food for thought and question to ponder. This anime doesn’t paint anyone as a bad guy or a good guy. The line between evil and justice, good ... and bad is so blurred. There is no bad guy in the story, and even the characters that seem to be a bad guy are well rounded, interesting characters, executed in ways you would NEVER expect. It utilizes the world to create a moral ambiguity where everyone is justified with their actions. When I am watching Shinsekai yori, I often have a feeling that I am watching Death Note with no mind game. Both anime is awesome at how it questions the very nature of humans. On what standards that we define and judge ourselves or other are evil or justice? Does possess superpower will make our life merrier and happier? Not necessary. In this show, everyone in the village have psychokinesis(PK) when they reach a certain age. A bless (or rather a curse) comes to the particular individuals indicate they have the cursed power. I love the way the story setting in a society based with the cursed power. Nah, this is not a boring shonen anime that “We got superpower so we go out and kill some evil guys, getting praised by the head chief and repeat”. This anime does take logical and realistic assumption into its plot which is generally praised by the critics. Having a superpower not necessary lead you to the gateway of happiness, isn’t it? Shin Sekai Yori tells the tale of a group of children born in this “strange” society (you will know why after you watch the first 15 episodes), and how they grow up with this world and they get ample character development throughout the story. You're in with them for the ride, starting from a clean slate, trying to curiously stumble through this new unknown world. Seeing these characters challenge the status quo of the world and handle with the situations the story throws at them is quite engaging, and the way it’s done is believable and reasonable. The story is dynamic to it where every aspect of the show serves to either develop the world or the characters. Let’s get to the heart of this gem. What exactly is it that makes Shinsekai yori a masterpiece? I would say that it’s a combination of gradually built-up atmosphere, tension, fantastic storytelling and music. Even in the first few episodes, you can probably feel how dreary and dark situations are. When I am watching episode 1 it already give me quite a blow as I do not expect some blood in the beginning. The setting is definitely something that assists in creating the feeling of being suppressed by a mystery force that screams dystopia (an imagined place or state in which everything is unpleasant or bad). However, as the story progresses, there is many hint and symbolism if you are attention to the detail. This anime WILL force you begin to question almost everything. This leads to the major point that Shinsekai yori excels at, storytelling. Its outstanding storytelling is the things that make me keep watching until its very end. The cliffhanger at the end of most episodes had successfully evokes the burning desire inside my heart to continue watch Shinsekai yori. The horror and tensive atmosphere make my heart beat run wild at most times. The atmosphere gets me hooked into the story, to experience this weird world with this unique tone with qualities I can't describe. It's so immerse, and it's so well done that everything blends in together and makes for this believable and cohesive experience. It's damn good. The pacing is phenomenal as its started off tense, moved into hopeless, desperate problems and then converted all those problems into hope for the future. This anime is NOT filled with cheesy melodrama but however, it maybe predictable if you have sat down and have a deep thought about the story-line. Let us talk about the character development. The character in the anime is unique and interesting. As the story advances, the characters have made some incredible transformation as well. The 5 main characters do enhance the overall story. Their conflicting personalities and reaction to various situations made some events in the anime intriguing to watch. My personal favorite character is Saki. As the anime progresses, the bonds between the characters are tested and their lives are focused as they on a journey of discovering certain truths they aren’t supposed to know (It will blow your mind). The history in this show is well-crafted and it enable you to understand more about the present world. Side character does have an imperative role too. I personally like one of the “villain” in this anime (whether he is a villain or not, it remain arguable since I had written that there is no clear line of bad and good in this show). He is cunning and intelligence. He is also willingly to sacrifice and manipulate some individual to achieve his goal. This makes him a little bit similar to Yagami Light (the main character in Death Note). On his early appearance, he appeared to be weak, but the anime does show its noticeable body language which hinted his true character. He is ambitious and does give bring a hell in the most majestic way. He has his own reason to justify his own cruel action and in my opinions, it does not have right and wrong as I probably will do the same thing if I am in his shoes. The character and art design is simple yet beautiful. It is not really impressive at a first glance but it is clearly presented. The characters have really expressive eyes and some nice body types to them. I love the ethnic tribal clothes that the characters wear and this is enough to make the characters look good. The environment and background is also very amazing. There are a lot of scenic moments in the anime and I love how they all come to live. The nice angles of the scenes and the mood they set, is always a plus. There is no much of action scene in this anime and is most likely not needed. There is no OP in Shinsekai yori. isn’t it strange? There is only one in episode 16 if I am not mistaken. A core part of Shinsekai yori is amazing brilliant music, which is absolutely amazing with great violin that helps supplant the tone into a point of prominence. It supports the story in ways that words could not and amplifying the emotion (still remembers Angel Beats?). At the right times, the right soundtrack is played and the right emotions are conveyed. I had a love with the second ED which is “Yuki ni Saku Hana”. Whenever I hear this song, I will always have a urge to cry as it brings the memories of somebody’s death. The ending is quite satisfying. It warp up everything and does explain stuff that you like to know. It ends in a way that shows really should end, and I appreciated it. There is no second season, I guess. I will recommend Shinsekai Yori to all dark anime fans. However, let me give a early warning first: watch it with an open mind. There is some unexpected scene which I don’t want to spoil, but please expect the unexpected. Be aware that Shinsekai Yori is not made to entertain you, it is here to make the best of what it did in quality and writing which it did a great job with. Shinsekai Yori is a very deep and emotional show. Go watch it and be sucked into its world. I was completely attracted to the world it built and I ended up marathon the whole show in 2 days. This is the kind of anime which will worth your time to watch. Shinsekai Yori is my new favorite anime now.

Recommended for those who is:
-A big fans of romance! - Fond in music. - looking for story that can make you feel emotional and cry. - searching for beautiful art and outstanding music. Not recommended for those who is: -not enjoy with the drama -looking for a lot of comedy moment -no love to romance and emotional moment ... "I met the girl under the full-bloomed cherry blossoms, and my fate has begun to change." Every anime that can have a high score in MAL is no doubt an anime that worth your time. Being ranked top 100 in MAL is really hard since there is so many masterpiece anime out there, storming every “10” mark in MAL scoring system. Shigatsu wa Kimi no Uso (Your Lie in April) is definitely a great anime that worth watching at least twice. Do you believe in music can change your life? Oh yeah, definitely yes! This is the core thesis at Shigatsu wa Kimi no Uso, a series in which shows that music can change and inspires those performer as well as the audience. A beautiful combination of emotional resonance, well-craft art and brilliant sound track, Shigatsu wa Kimi no Uso successfully demonstrate music’s transformative power within the young soul of teenager as they start to grow up and explore the unknown land of romance and relationship. One can say this is a masterpiece although many hater consider this anime as a abuse usage of melodrama. In my honest opinions, Shigatsu wa Kimi no Uso is a fantastic anime with some flaw. The story is summarized pretty well in MAL so I am not going to rewrite again. The show's beauty is ornate, to the point where you could easily accuse it of being overwrought or melodramatic. I personally like the trauma that Arima Kousei is facing. He cannot hear his own note during his performance and this literally let Arima Kousei’s career as pianist fall from the peak. The show visually portrays his attempts to make music as the act of sinking into a deep blue ocean, haunted by his mother's voice. This anime does show Arima Kousei’s journey of going through this hardship and I can link it to my life. I am an archer, yet I suffer from “target panic” which is a mental disease that stop me from releasing my arrow WHEN there is a target board in front of me. The similiar feeling struck my heart when Arima Kousei is performing and suddenly cannot hear his own note. Well, I can see so many similiarity in this character so I will say that I had attached to the feeling that he has. Struggle and hardship are a commonality in everyone's cycle of life; nobody is able to avoid difficulties. The solution is making an attempt to past through it. What is shown is meaningful: that it's prudent for people to pitch in. It doesn't matter if you are a young guy struggling with music or a young girl battling an illness; what the beginning demonstrates is that what matters most is being there for the person in need. One of the greatest moment in Shigatsu wa Kimi no Uso is when they are performing in various competitions. I am surprised that they actually can convey message though music. Characters use their songs to express themselves and their thoughts on each other, to prove their worth or connect with the people they love. The show's constant refrain of “reach them!” reveals how all of Shigatsu wa Kimi no Uso 's heroes want their songs to change others as songs once changed them. This anime did a good job on showing how music can making a dramatic change not only in your life but in other’s life too. There is always emotional climatic during the performance. Well I do not have any knowledge about classic music, there is always explanation to it and it is really helpful. Fans of classical music will find plenty to love here as a good variety of famous pieces are played including the work of Chopin, Beethoven and Tchaikovsky, but everyone else will find plenty to like as well. I personally like Tsubaki. She is so interesting to me. Yeah, she is a typical teenager which had a “secret” crush on her childhood friend while everyone except both of them realizes it. Tsubaki offen beat down her childhood friend in comedy moment and does show the close relationship between them. I am very pleased by Tsubaki’s inner monologue whenever she is trying to express her feeling. This is the age where we actually step into the romance’s land and most of us did struggle with love. Yeah, I like Tsubaki’s style of struggle of romance. I think it does enhance the overall story and make me continue watching Shigatsu wa Kimi no Uso until the very end. She is very real to me and I offen give a half-smile whenever she start to whispering. The visual effect throughout the anime is so well-designed that I have no clue how on earth that the producer and their team can ever made it. The animation is astounding, you have no choice but to admit the beauty of the art even you are a hater. The facial detail is nice and you can always see the “blank” in Arima Kousei’s glasses because the director do not wish that little glasses block the attractive eye. The 4 main character and the side character like Nagi is no doubt, an highlight of the whole show. The character design had been given heavy detail and everyone should appreciate it. In a nutshell, Shigatsu wa Kimi no Uso is a successful anime which absolutely beautiful in sight and sound and strikes at the heart of performance's appeal. It story line does not impressed me but it does let me link with my own life. The ending is bizarre and surprising to me, and yet it is reasonable. The show did convey a clear message to all the audience throughout the show: you have to move forward no matter how bad is your life and past. You just got to live with it. "Do you think you'll be able to forget?" Nope. For every "helpful" and "not helpful", I will appreciate your feedback and thank you!
